Matagal ko nang kebigan si Gio Beersatse. One time he treated me for a candle light sit-down dinner. Parati na lang kasi kaming nakatayo sa kanto nang Broad Street sa Philadelphia kumakain. Yon bang kariton?! Uhuh! Meron din kami nyan! Mass-produced foods!

Rejection confirmed my right decision

I did not get the job in Washington, DC. What I got instead was a confirmation that I made the right decision to leave my former work.

I flew to Chicago kahapon mga kunichiwa for a one-day flight. Philadelphia is an hour ahead of Chicago. Travel time? 3 hours – tipong a little less time than flying from Manila to Tokyo. Ganun kalayo.
