Art imitates life.
Well, o baka naman cinderella story ang gusto?
Congressman Aurelio Gonzales Jr., who represents Pampanga’s third district, the same province of that notorious last name that has become synonymous with epic corruption, has filed one jaw-dropping absurdity House Resolution 2140, which aims to appeal to the local television and movie industry to “minimize, prevent, or stop typecasting congressmen and congresswomen as villains or crooks in movies and television telenovelas, in order not to create stereotypes or negative public perception against members of the House of Representatives.”
Tingnan mo nga naman. Our congressman here simply don’t have any clue what the words “role model” means. Dadaanin na lang sa batas.
What a fuckery this is talaga!
But he explained his position naman. He said: “These negative typecastings (sic) influence the general public, especially young children, into forming a negative impression about the members of the House of Representatives.”
Ow?!
Ah ok. Tama nga naman.
Pwes!
Then why don’t they clean-up themselves so movies will mirror their legislative lives as angels?!
If they are so bothered how they are being typecast in movies, then? Don’t be a crook!
Ganun lang ka-simple.
Grrr!
