Ok. Houston, we got a problem.
What’s the problem?
FILIPINO TIME.
If you’re a foreigner, you have no idea what that means! Hahaha! And if you have travelled to the Philippines already and have experienced Filipino Time, I’m sure you’ve cussed all the gods in the river by what you have just experienced. Hahaha! You see, in my turd world kawntri called the Flippines, Filipino time is… ahh.. well… it’s like this.. it’s a state of mind.
A what?!
It means, we don’t really think of the time as the time. It’s the art of coming up with an alibi why we’re so ludicrously afflicted with tardiness. We are sooo late we even called Philippine Air Lines as Philippines Always Late. Look! Every single nation around us are already rich! We’re still in the conundrums!
When we say, 7:00am sharp, we mean, right around 9:00am or 10:00am. Bwahaha!
Don’t blame me. You have to blame the entire population because this is the general attitude – in the Philippines.
Did you read me? In the Philippines. Why? Because we Filipinos in America do not adhere to this stupid Filipino Time. In fact, we are always way ahead of schedule here. Bee!
Yeah people, in the Flippines, everybody is always late. No exception. Wag na kayong umalma. Oo, Silver, pati ikaw! Nyahaha! Charing. I know, bukang liwayway pa lang, nasa Greenbelt ka na.
But why in the world are Filipinos in the Philippines always late anyway?
Honestly? I have got not a slightest fkin clue.
But get this, the House of Representatives passed House Bill 6905 that seeks to cure “Filipino time” or tardiness habit by synchronizing the standard time nationwide.
Synchronizing?! Why?! How many time zones do we have in the Philippines?!
“By synchronizing the official watches and clocks in the entire archipelago, all Filipinos can sing the national anthem at the same time,” said Valenzuela City Rep. Magtanggol Gunigundo, the principal author of the bill. (Source: GMA News)
No kidding?! They can actually cure Filipino Time by this?
Should the measure become law, all national and local government offices shall display the PST on their official time devices, including bundy clocks. They will base their time on that provided by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) using its network time protocol. (Source: GMA News)
Display?!
So, to cure the problem, you synchronize the time and you display the time.
I say, the Filipino Time is a culture thing. This bill is a waste and will just be another major flop.
How do you cure Filipino Time? Severe penalties to change Filipinos mindset.

Ako rin naman may sakit na tardiness but not when I am meeting people.

pag sa pinas ka talaga, if you’re not careful, madadala ka nang ugali dun. of course, sa tagal ko sa amerika, i always adhere sa time. eh ganito dito eh. so when i go home, ganun din ako and i do tell people na kausap ko. in fact, on time ako nun sa greenbelt hahaha as in talagang 1.5 hours ata ang allowance ko dahil sa trapik. but yeah, yun ang kainis ang walang abiso kung male-late.
there was only one time na nabulyawan ako ni malen – we were supposed to meet at 7pm sa eastwood, nakatulog ako hehehe! nag-tatalak ang asawa ko hahaha

Eh sa pinas, yong one hour nagiging 3 hours na walang kinapuntahan ‘coz at the end of the day walang resolution na napag-agreehan.

heres my solvetion to the problema:
1) retardiness (my own word bwahaha) = don’t have Filipino friends
and/But if you have a Filofriend make sure the ratio between your other non-filo friends is 1 to 4. this means dat if the aforementioned (deep hahah) Filofriend is late the adir tres are on time then you can start lunch or coffee and when you are done you all can go while the Filofriend is rushing to catch up ie: not finishing her/his coffee etc.
2) if you are in the Philippines, well as they say when in Rome….

ngak hahaha! oo nga naman and this is true kamo talaga, mapipilitang makisama ang Pinoy at mapapahiya with the rest. actually, that is the reason why most Pinoys in America are always way ahead of time hehehe alam kasi nila na pag puti kausap nila bulyaw aabutin oras na lumagpas nang 1 second late hahaha

Kasi kahit malate wala namang mawawala. Di naman maiiwan or wala namang Penalty.
