How not to start a blog: hate blogs by BongV and Benign0

by reynz on November 22, 2009

bongv benigno hate bloggers

Ok. So…. Wer wer we?!

Hate blogs started to sprout against Barrio Siete and Reyna Elena. These are brought to you by no other than BongV, our pseudo-intellectual resident of Barrio Siete, the most talkative of all the charlatans, the most intelligent of all human kind, teaching us the theory of the morons, decided to partner with Benign0, our most revered agent heckler provocateur who saw it best to open hate blogs, directed at Barrio Siete and Reyna Elena. You see, in Barrio Siete, we get to know each other very well. How interesting that they’d flaunt their pseudo-intellectualism only to be hate bloggers lang pala!

So, as Queen of all Social Climbers, let’s go back to Blogging 101 and see if we could teach people on how to blog properly. Hopefully, they can replicate Barrio Siete’s meteoric performance in the Philippine Blogosphere, after all they have the most wisdom, shall we?

People are social

Oo. Ibaba mo kilay mo. Truth is, lahat tayo social climbers. We all long for social acceptance, sa blogging world pa. So, if you’re starting out a blog which is a hate blog, you will probably get a spike one split second from curious hikers, but other than that, it will fizzle out because there is not any single social value in hate blogs.

In the name of blog

Yeap. You don’t have to be a graduate of a sparkling university to understand the essence and the value of the right name for your blog. A blog name that captures it all, good recall and evokes curiousity will attract followers. But there’s the catch: value. Then again, value is in the eye of the beholder. Let me give you some ejemplos mis amigos.

  • Anti pinoy dot com is Benign0′s hate blog. The name alone evokes a lot of negativities. It pretty much tells you the kind of personality the owner of the blog has. Distressed childhood? Ano ba? Would you socialize with Anti-Pinoys?! Ah-uh.
  • Utak Tilapia dot com is BongV’s hate blog. Not much to explain on the blog name. Was it the size of his brain? Could be. Distressed childhood? I guess. Birds of the same feathers are chickens. I guess this explains why Benign0 and BongV flies together. I said, flies.

Where to find blog traffic

Once you have a blog, then you hope it would connect to the people that you target and hope they come. If they don’t? The rule in Philippine Blogging is that: “Kung gusto mo nang trapik, awayin mo si Reyna Elena. I did not say that. Several bloggers told me that. Hahaha! So, I assume the memo got into the hands of BongV and Beningn0.

Benign0-Reyna Elena-BongV-Love Triangle

BongV is probably nearing senility or just fighting to be out of the nursing home. You prove it by blogging fiery anti-Noynoy articles and spewing hate angst against Reyna Elena, I’m not even running YET to be the first woman president of the flippines. Nag-seselos ata ang sang to sa pagmamahal ko ki Benign0. But BongV is feeding my attention deficit syndrome. I-blog ka ba naman nang araw araw nang lecheng to! Kaya mahal ko na rin ang isang to. Halata ba? hahaha!

Benigno is actually a caring person. Dinamitan nya ako nang Emperor’s Clothes. Between the two? Benigno sometimes makes sense. I have no idea lang kung nasikwat na sya sa kaVilang Varrio because I did not see Benign0 entries no more. But Benign0 has a mission – to get Real. Hahahaha and apparently it’s not working. For now, I have no farting intent to block our Pinoy Hater. Im fak, if he is willing to contribute and send in his article, I’d gladly post it. Mahal ko yan si Benign0. Halata ba? hehehe

Keep Social Climbing Alive!

Get real Philippines. The basics in life is Social Climbing. Apparently some people are not getting it. It works in blogs too.

Who’s talking about hate – it’s talking about dislike for censorship. El Capitana naman, honesty is the best policy.

you are likable, charming, what’s there to hate. the blog provides a reply to a comment that would have been censored elsewhere. people can see for themselves whether the reply should have been censored or not. if you call that a hate blog, i’ll have to disagree – but labs pa rin kita :)

censorship is kinda inconsistent with our quest for democracy dontcha think.

Personally, hope hindi ako pagbabatuhin sa mga ka-baryo or batutaen kaya ni Igsoong Bloop because the truth is…

I didn’t find BongV/Benign0′s as hate blogs. If their blogs are considered hate blogs then in my standard they are not HATEFUL enough.

Wats wrong with me?

Did I miss something?

Posted by BenK on 8/13/09 • Categorized as About AntiPinoy

Does your coach yell at you and tell you what you’re doing wrong in practice? Why does he do that? Is it because he hates you and wants nothing to do with you? You think so? Then why are you still on the team, and starting every game? Sometimes the harshest criticisms, those words that hurt the most, are what in the end lead you to achieve your best.

In a very real way, this is what we’re about. We’re not here to put Pinoys down for the heck of it, after all, we are Pinoys too…it is an altogether uncomfortable realization that the land we call home is a dysfunctional mess, but it is hard not to see the painful truth. We love our country, we want the Philippines and all Filipinos to improve, and for this country and society to live up to its potential. But before that can happen, we need to know what’s wrong about us so that we can fix ourselves and point ourselves in the right direction.

So who is the Anti-Pinoy?

In the day-to-day exchange that defines real life for most Pinoys, the daily news, radio and TV broadcasts, our cinema, and in casual conversation, the masa and those who celebrate mediocrity – those who are quick to boast about how ingenious Pinoys are and point to our colorful Jeepneys as examples, or who count the number of look-alike, sound-alike local celebrities or the once-in-a-generation gifted professional athlete as a measure of national greatness – set an UNPATRIOTIC example and lower the bar of public debate.

The more the Anti-Pinoy glorifies these mediocrities and focuses on the vacuous and the trivial, real issues that affect ordinary lives and futures are forgotten or pushed aside. Like the unambitious student who is praised by his parents despite consistently doing poorly in school, the bad habits and low expectations of Pinoy society are reinforced, making it that much harder with every passing day to find the right path. So that’s where we come in, and we bring a message: The path to prosperity, the path to the place the Philippines deserves among the world community, the path of patriotism for all true Pinoys is to first honestly and bravely acknowledge the ills of society and then have the initiative to seek to fix them.

The Filipino’s greatest enemy is himself – the Anti-Pinoy.

The question is, are you?

.. ‘lamat po kabayan :)

zzzzzz…

All a non-issue for me. Blogs being “hate blogs” are all a matter of perception.

I suggest you all do your homework and read first before passing judgement.

Btw, Ms. Reynz, I don’t see anything wrong with that picture on UtakNgTilapia.com.

That comic strip may as well have pictures of BongV or me, but with the picture in the cloud replaced by a bunch of lingerie models.

Same banana, same humour, different sexual orientation.

If a red-blooded heterosexual male can be distracted by half-naked women, why can’t a red-blooded gay male be distracted by half-naked men?

Coming to terms over one’s sexual orientation comes from within. Its simply an unfortunate outcome of society and history that gay people have a lot more baggage to contend with.

But then, such is life. ;)

sheez…guys, girls and everything else in between, you have no idea what a hate blog is.

if objective discussions are “hateful”, i’d say inbreeding has taken its toll :)
