I liked the ad. I thought it was very interesting. To me, it evoked a lot of things. A longing for something to change once and for all. A wanting by all Filipinos for not just a better life but good governance. However, I do not believe that non-Noynoy supporters wanted a crazy and insane Philippines. I for one also believed that they too want a prosperous Philippines. We all just don’t agree on who the right leader to move us forward.
But little did I know that this video would generate a lot of flak and raised eyebrows from non-supporters had I not read bluepanjeet’s current entry in Barrio Siete entitled: What’s wrong with Noynoy’s Campaign Ad?, where he said:
“Understandably, any trapo who spent billions in campaign ads who found out that his ad suck, would really be threatened on a music video interspersed with tantamount of meaning, familiarity and Pinoy sentiments. Like what a Comelec official said in an interview by a GMA 7 reporter on prime time news, “Campaign Ads should carry the over-all message of the candidate because at the end of the day, it is the sentiment that touches the heart and soul of the Filipino People that matters”. —-The same sentiments that made EDSA 86 possible and restoring democracy in our country.”
“Contrary to accusations, the Noynoy ad is non trapo. Trapos sell themselves on ads at the expense of the poor filipinos plight, our misfortunes, catastrophes and the likes, only to find out that they are all empty promises. Trapos spends money “buying” celebrities for support. Trapos use issues to the point of slinging mud on other candidates by saying “double meaning statemensts”. Trapos shows videos of numerous engagements, shaking hands with the common tao and panning shots of people in political rallies. Noynoy’s ad had none. From the Director, to the composer of the song (which is alcasid) to the advertising agencies and crews who united in order to come up with such a beautiful video, they all freely gave their time, talent and treasure— no deals nor exchange whatsoever— Just like the spirit of EDSA 86 that we have come to know in our history.”

mahina ang opposition ni Noynoy. they could not find a VP, everyone want to run as President, and no one likes each other. while they’re all a mess, Noynoy and Mar are just sailing around. i hope wala talagang magic during the election. who knows what that little thing will do again.

sa pagpili pa lang ng VP, nagkakagulo na sila, what more kung ang pinag-uusapan ay pagpapatakbo na ng bansa. e di gulo-gulo na talaga..

that really just shows one thing. they seemed to have just taken Cory Aquino for a ride. now almost all of them are elbowing each other for THE position. they’re so splintered, they’re all fighting, they’re all so selfish.

hi, kung manalo kaya silang dalawa, magagawan kaya nila ng paraan na mapaunlad ang ethanol sa bansa natin? para hindi na naghihirap ang pilipinas at umaasa sa mga bansang mayayaman sa langis. Kasi libre un sa TUBO lng manggagaling e tumutubo ang tubo sa lahat ng lugar sa pilipinas.
Magagawan kaya nila ng paraang gugulin ng tama ang 16.4 billions US Dollar remittance ng mga OFW sa loob ng isang taon?
Kawawa naman po kasi ang mga OFW na nagtitiis ng hirap sa ibang bansa, ng dahil sa kahirapan ng buhay napilitang umalis para lnag matugunan ang pangangailangan ng kanilang pamilya.
