My Legazpi City

I took that picture aboard the plane going home to Legazpi City one time.

“Originally posted in the barrio…” Today, I searched the net and will sorta introduce L.A. (Legazpi, Albay) to ya’all. Para naman sa next lamierda ninyo, stop by in this great city, social climb kayo sa mga uragon, besides, we are the land of Daragang Magayon at mga Soltegong Gwapo. Ya’all have seen this picture perfect nature wonders… right? Balak ko palagyan yan nang titulo. Hanapin nyo ang pangalan ko sa loob nang ruins na yan. Inukit ko sya.

Ever been to L.A. na ba kayo? Not Los Angeles. But dito… Legazpi, Albay.

I always had a good time pag nauwi ako sa lugar namen mga kabarrio. Nakakasama ko mga baliw kong relatives. Take a look at this pic below. Notice the building by the hill? That used to be the only 5-star hotel in Bicol during my time in Legazpi City, the Mayon Imperial Hotel. Mahaba ang kwento nang building na yan. Maraming cheezmaks about corruption. Kaya siguro puro kamalasan ang inabot. Andyang nag-sara. Nagbukas para masunog. Nagsara uli. I have no clue kung ano na sya ngayon.

There is a hill by the airport mga kabarrio, it’s called the Lingon Hill and they have a park dun overlooking the city.

My niece also told me about what’s going on sa Embarcadero. There’s a really, really good restaurant dyan sa Port Area. Kaya lang hahanapin mo at ipagtatanong nyo sa trysikel driver. Sabihin nyo, “White House” hahaha kebigan ko yon! Anyway, dito kami dati nag-lalamierda at lumalagok nang syoktong sa area na to. Construction daw pala is in full blast.

I was talking on the phone with my friend in Legazpi and he told me that half of it is finished. Currently daw it looks like this at night.

Which when finished, ganito pala itsura nya. Drool Manhattan Harbor in New York! Hahaha!

And I read somewhere about the Bicol Convention Center plans.

As well as some plans to put up Bicol International Airport.

Which I believe is a long time coming. Para mai-decongest na ang Manila. At para naman dumaan kayo after your trip to Donsol, Sorsogon. Besides, there are so many things naman in Legazpi to do. Kung festival den lang ang pag-uusapan, ours is not as mature as the ones in Capiz, Davao or Cebu, but it’s been getting better every year! There’s Magayon Festival, kaso, eto na naman tayo noh? You could not even see pictures of the festival on their website. Grr!

But enough with Miss Earth or World Peace. Here’s the reason why I love Legazpi hehehe!

Ginoo nang Magayon where you’ll find handsome uragons. Where beauty pageants are equal opportunity like this one. Aber?!

Tandaan, kaming mga Uragon eh parang sili magmahal. Mainit. Di lang yon. Well known kami as karinyoso ever. Most romantikada pa. During Valentine’s Day, hindi lang bulaklak ang ibibigay namen seyo. Me kasama na syang labuyo. Pero, wag mo lang kaming gagalitin dahil hahabulin ka namen nang nag-babagang bolo.
