I have never been so shit stressed at work in my life, ever. Not even sa accounting firm na pinag-trabahuan ko, not even sa investment firm na pinagtrabahuan and not even in Philadelphia sa kademonyohan ni Doreen. Dito lang talaga. Dito lang.
Alas otso, isang kape, takbo sa opisina. Dial talepano. Call staff. Dumating dalwa. Inasikaso ko ang problema. 9am, padala email. Everything were working out right. Maligaya si madam. Before 11am, solve ang problema. Pina-uwi ko na staff ko. Report ki madam. Maligaya. Tuwang-tuwa sa ginawa nang lola. Nagpasalamat si madam. Then, nag-usap kami sa gagong taong bagong kuha. Nagtanong sya. Me sinabi ako. Saka ko na ikwento. Basta, malalaman nyo.
Meanwhile, sa pagod ko, dahil nga pressured ako na hanapin yong libro na sinasabi ni Silver dito, I went to Barnes and Noble. Di ko sya nakita. Instead, yan ang binili ko sa taas.
Enron. Di ko to makalimutan. 2002 ako pumasok nang business school. Kainitan nang Enron. Kaya nung last year ko sa Fox School, tadtad ako nang Ethics. One of the things that we even did sa klase, nagkaron kami nang drama. Oo. We dissected Enron. Pero nakalimutan ko na ang drama namen. What I remember was that, hindi kami masyadong prepared, tinira kami nang tinira nang ibang group hehehe, hirap na hirap kami i-defend ang position namen. I remember, ang role namen was group ni Fastow.
So, this will be my assignment pour moi. Refresh ang memory sa nangyari.

Enron, yan yung company na nabankrupt dati di ba? Isa ata yan sa pinakamalaking bankruptcy cases sa US if I’m not mistaken.
Lokohan ata ang nangyari parang kay Madoff.

Enron was like the beginning. It opened a tidal wave of corporate misgivings gaya nang Tyco, Worldcomm at iba. Sunod sunod sila. It did not stop hanggang ki Maddoff.

Mabuti in na taong 2002 ka pa pumasok ng business school. kung late last year or this year ka nagsimula, ang dami nyong ida-dissct na companies. at isama mo pa ang ang tungkol sa TARP at bail-out, etc. etc. etc…

actually nung panahon ko sa business school, matindi na rin nun dahil there was enron, global crossing, tyco, arthur & andersen, adelphia as in andami nila and all of these were required reading, taz me mga presentations pa, nakakaloka although exciting kung pano nila ginawa mga katarantaduhan but the most of the most of course eh ang ginawa ng ayuff na enron
iba naman last year dahil parang culmination na yon nang mga kagaguhan dahil yong tsunami nang enron kasama na tong financial crisis yong subprime and derivatives sa wall street
kaya nga naniniwala ako na tapos na at mag-rerecover na tayo
