Michael Jackson: We are the world

by reynz on June 27, 2009

There is no question, Michael Jackson is the undeniable King of Pop. I will never understand why he lived his life the way he did, during his last few years, but like millions of all of us, I will always remember him because of the music he created.

One of the most memorable song for me was – “We are the world”. This song was produced by Quincy Jones for the United Support Of Artists For Africa and would sell for a staggering 800,000 copies. I love the rest of his music but it is this song that continues to make my eyes misty when played. It’s not just the song, it’s not just Michael, it’s not just the great music, there’s something else.

It’s a flawless music, it combined some great talents, very diverse and different musical personalities yet Quincy was able to arrange and bring out the best, such that one beautiful music would come out of that group despite their utter differences. This was the reason why I have that such high of a respect to Quincy Jones. And this was the other story of this great music by Michael Jackson. One great teamwork. “We are the world”.

I’m sure, once you hear this music, there’d be so many memories that will fly. Try it.

ang lakas talaga ng hataw ng da king of pop…parang biglang nalimutan tuloy ang Iranian riot-problems…wernau in light of these depressing events? Oh well…We Are Da World, nga naman!

it’s similar to all the corruption scandals in the Philippines. one time it’s hot like everybody is picking it up, then another big one comes up and the whole thing previously hot as magma implodes and evaporates.

this is michael jackson that’s why. however people see him is irrelevant. he’s a world figure bigger than Iran.

grabeng impluwensya si michael jackson, mas marami ang ginawa nyang kagandahan, isang yin-yang, born black died white. we are the world yes indeed! and so the light goes back to the source.

napahawak din ako sa aking mga tenga. bwahaha!

seriously, pag napapanuod ko ang music video ng We Are The World, kinikilabutan pa rin ako. pero in a positive way ha, parang there’s still hope for the unfortunate ones because there are people who care.

Michael Jackson may be strange and sometimes erratic but we know he is not selfish.

He is musical genius. No one can replace him as the King of Pop.

I love that song! Naalala ko tuloy ng elementary days ko, nagprogram kami inspired ng song na yan.

So long Michael, you will be greatly missed. :(

Kahit ‘di po ako die-hard fan can’t help but feel sad sa untimely demise niya. ‘Heal the World’ isa sa mga ‘kilabot’ o ‘tindig balahibo’ song na ‘di ko malilimutan when it became a hit in 1985.

i think the donations continues. kaya lang wala masyadong news what’s going on kung merong accomplishments yong charity

[Reply]

reynz June 27, 2009 at 11:29 pm

it would have been nice kung nadya-dyaryo yong mga ganitong natulungan nya jeri. kaso alam mo na ang media, mas gusto inews ang mga kaimpaktuhan.

you’re right on that one snow! halos naging bayang magiliw sya

[Reply]

reynz June 27, 2009 at 11:32 pm

nung naging weird na ang mga actions nya, dun ako nawalan nang gana with him. and i knew nung nag-settle sya nang millions of dollars dun sa nag-charge nang molestation, feel ko totoong nangyari yon. but i’d admit he’s one great artist.

M.J. and I share the same birthday, woodjewbilib, and now i’m all too misty thinking that come Aug. 29 I’d be celebrating that natal day with the thought that he’s truly gone…O gosh…I practically grew up with that alledged pervert since Ben and the Jackson Five.
