Michael Jackson: 1958-2009

by reynz on June 26, 2009

For every accomplishments, Michael Jackson has always been hounded by bad luck. Remember, 13 of his songs hit No. 1 and he won 13 Grammy Awards.

I am one with the world in mourning the passing of the greatest artist of our time, Michael Jackson. I may not be happy with how he lived his life during his last few years on earth, but I can’t set aside the fact that he is the greatest in his art. Bigger than life. Bigger than Iran. So big, the events in Iran has fizzled out. So now, I am just not in mourning of Michael Jackson but all of the brave Iranians who will now be sidelined by this biggest headline in the world.

Michael Jackson touched our lives. We praised him for what he has accomplished. We ridiculed him for all his mistakes. He became such a megastar, Americans don’t understand why he is so popular outside of America. Ask my officemates. They are in awe seeing pictures from Europe. It seemed to me that the spotlight is always on him.

And so, reyna elena dot com reflects on his great music. Here goes..

  1. First on my list was this music: “We are the world”.

  2. Aside from We are the World, it’s the Moonwalk Dance that entralls me of Michael Jackson. Watch:

  3. And who can forget “The Thriller”? This is without doubt the most popular music video to date. It’s a very a scary film intermixed with dance sequences. Thriller has sold an estimated 42 – 108 million copies worldwide. The album was the first record to include more than four No. 1 hits. Thriller actually contained seven No. 1 hits and earned seven Grammys at the 1984 award show.

  4. Do you still remember all those footages of Michael’s hair catching fire while taping the Pepsi commercial featuring pyrotechnics? In that commercial, Michael suffered third degree burns on his scalp.

  5. And what about the ever popular Billie Jean?

  6. There are still a dozen more music and videos he did that amazed all of us. This is what he does best. Music and Dance. Along this line, it was one great job well done, Michael Jackson.

he stayed in the middle east for a long time to forget the bad things tha happened to him during those scandalous trial, and it ruined him down, hooked up on some substance and before he found out, he has transformed into a zombie, just because of people’s critical impression. but for me, he left his huge huge footprints that nobody can equal. his love for humanity is larger than life, a real artist.

hindi ko nakita yon roy and it’s interesting reading all about him now. an laki pala talaga nang insecurity nya. he wants to be always – and always on top. takot na takot syang masapawan. in a way, i like it. kaso, i am not liking the idea na what kung me tumalo seyo?

Hello guys, I just happened to find this site when I was searching all about MJ.
Di ko na alam sasabihin ko dito coz naiiyak na naman ako. I’m really a big fan of MJ. All of his music napakinggan ko na, lahat ng videos nya noon pa man napanood ko na rin. I even watched his concert here in Manila way back 1996. Though ang mahal ng ticket (3000 pesos front rows sa gilid) pinilit ko makabili kahit wala pa akong work at that time.

Tapos ngayon bigla na lang… eto na sya, gone :( Why it has to be so soon? Sobrang lungkot ang buhay nya, Di man lang sya nabigyan ng chace na maging masaya ulit before sya mawala :( I’m still on denial stage right now….

He deserves to be happy na…too much pain until the end.

Watch mo video ng “Childhood” nya and the lyrics…yun daw ang most personal song he’d written.
