Money Smarts has been my daily read ever since I stumbled into that blog. Soon, in one of my trips back to Manila, I would get the chance to meet Salve Duplito (at Trinoma), the voice behind the blog. I would find out in that meeting that she was a fellow-Bicolana, from Legazpi City. She happens to be my niece’s classmate and good friend. They met at Bicol University. Roselle is now based in Los Angeles. The other day, this is what I read on Salve’s blog:
“And so, after 490-or-so articles over the course of roughly two years, I am saying goodbye to MoneySmarts. It’s a bittersweet spot to be in. I feel like I am letting go of a child that I have nourished and nurtured for quite a while. Although I feel comforted that she will be in good hands and that we will continue to stay in touch, I will sorely miss the great conversations here (especially those hateful comments haha!).” – Salve
Salve has been very nice not only to me, but to a number of Reyna readers (you’ll see them after the jump), most of whom were Overseas Filipinos. I can’t thank her more than enough. So, to my Manay, all the best in the world, maski na ngani sain ka man makaduman. Dai tabi malingaw na maghapit igdio paminsan minsan. Salamat tabi sa gabos asin Dios Mabalos.

Kaya kung gusto nyong sumikat? Social climb lang kayo ki Reyna, ako ang tunay na PR agent, advertising company and marketing agent. Magaling talaga akong bugaw! Makinig kayo! Hahaha! And I have credentials hahaha! Good luck Tita Salve! We had a lot of fun with you! Tawag ka lang if you need us back again!
