When I go home to Manila, I’m sure nakahanda na ang tangke, bazooka at isang kabang betsin. With a batallion of Manila bloggers with such hatred and discrimination to Reyna, it’s obvious nasa hit list ako nang mga to, given the threats that I am getting. There is one more credential issue that I will tackle. Wait lang kayo. For now, I have questions:
Questions to you all:
1.) Why is there such hatred and discrimination to Reyna Elena nang mga bloggers sa Manila? (Kunyari lang na di ko alam ang puno’t dulo nito! Hahaha!)
2.) Should I start writing MBA style or continue with my personal blog jologs style dahil these people in Manila equate blogging style sa credentials and authority?
Yes or No and Why:
1.) First impressions are always correct.
2.) Filipinos have not shed the Illustrado/Indio mentality.
Here’s one comment that made me asked these questions.Read on:

I have been reading this blog for the past few weeks. It’s obvious you’ve been hurting from the discrimination directed towards you. The blogosphere is full of that. I have many times been mistaken for an idiot and have as many times have to prove myself. I think it all boils down to writing. I sometimes am a lazy commenter. I don’t check my spelling and I write one or two liners most of the time. Still, I believe what happened to you was something else, since the person or persons who belittled you must have had a good look at your own blog and have judged you based on the personality your projected in your blog. They also know your real identity and even have information of your background. This things of course hurt terribly if used against you.
If you don’t mind me saying, your writing gives the impression that you are ill-educated. I’m not saying this to insult you. I’m not also saying this just for the sake of frankness. I’m telling you this so you can fight back with accuracy. If you shoot arrows, better know the make of the warhead if it will penetrate your opponents armor.
Reynz response: Not at all.
Filipinos are a very class conscious people. Most everyone is class conscious. It also makes us a very pretentious people (it’s a chicken and egg thing, which comes first?). It’s also the reason, I think, why as a people and society we are so lacking in real achievements, whether artistic or intellectual.
WHETHER Filipinos admit it or not, the wound of 350 years of Spanish oppression hasn’t even begun to heal. In fact, we’re like the raped virgin who wants to go back to his rapist for more.
Help Reyna. I am open to landscaping changes kung kelangan but not to a point to surrender certain qualities of mine na hindi negotiable. Pero, anyone who responds “Inggit lang sila sayo” will be blocked forevah! Hahaha! I don’t like that response! Grrr! I prefer this to be an open discussion. No name calling. No name labeling. Leche! Malilintikan kayo! Hahaha.

let me share this – my blog is like my “after hours” (after hours is a reference sa mga bar na open pag sarado na yong mga regular bars up to 2pm! hahaha example bar pa! leche! tunggera talaga ang lola! hahaha)

Ate Reynz, don’t ever change just because a SMALL group of people dislike you and your style. They may think the negative way because of how you write but at the end of the day I think mas importante pa rin how secure you are of yourself.

It’s simple…kung matalino ang isang tao, they will be able to discern kung may sense ang sinasabi/sinusulat ng isang tao. Eh di ba yan nga yong sinasabi nila. Now, kung di nila ma-discern aba, eh may problem sila. Bakit yong Inquirer, Manila Bulletin, et al eh na-discern nila? Hindi ka naman siguro i-feature ng mga broadsheets sa atin at ma-interview sa radio kung sa tingin nila you are just trash-talking in your blog.
Now, yong sinasabi nilang “CLASS,” pag ang isang tao ay may class, may BREEDING at EDUCATION – nag-eemanate yon naturally sa personality ng isang tao without even trying, even if the person pretends to be the opposite. Now, kung di nila ma-discen yon – there seems to be a problem.
Now as for the change of style…for me kapag bakya ka at lo-class, mag-eemanate din yan naturally kahit baguhin mo pa ang writing style or magsuot ka ng mamahaling damit. We are what we are because of our uniqueness.

Kapag may class ka, no matter what is your writing style, lalabas ang pagiging classy ng mo. By the way, ang taong classy or may class ay hindi yong pa-sosyal at pa-taglish-taglish or pa-intellectual. According to Merriam-Webster CLASSY means “having or reflecting high standards of personal behavior.”
Personally, I don’t think you need to change your writing style just to please some people (not even worth you attention). What was your purpose for putting up this blog in the first place? As long as your blog is achieving its objectives, you’re okay. Everyone knows your writing style is effective for your target audience and changing your style will not give you 8.4 M readers…hehehehehe

Alam ko na kung baket maraming nagbabasa ng RE. Simple lang yan: YOU KNOW HOW TO TALK TO YOUR READERS.
If a blogger knows how to talk to his readers, then we can say that blogger is effective. Katulad sa communication, maiintindihan ka ba ng common juan kung ikaw e nagsasalita ng high falutin english??? A blogger, in order to be understood and appreciated by his audience, must know how to talk in common language with his audience.
At isa pang nagustuhan ko dito sa RE e hindi tayo feeling intellectual whatever pretentious ek-ek. Magkakaiba man ng opinyon ang mga readers mo, it does not let us to get embroiled in nasty and sometimes, useless debates. Kumbaga, tayo dito, kahit magkakaiba ng opinyons, kaya nating mag-disagree if ever man, na walang dumadanak na dugo. Haha.
And given the professions we have in real life, nakakapagod ang sobrang usapang intellectual. You know, MBA, CPA, Psychology, etc. etc. talks samantalang we can communicate what’s on our heads through simple and relaxed language. Ang dami na nating stress sa work, dadalhin pa ba natin dito?? Of course, this is our online tambayan – a humor blog ng isang Reyna – and you know what, every trip ko here really unclogs the stress fats in my nerves.
Hahah.

Just a respectful observation Reyna.
A lot of the people who comment here are your friends. You’ve pretty much surrounded yourself with like-minded people. That of course is nice because you get a lot of encouragement and even lots more high-fives.
But being surrounded by people who think the same way you do, and agree with everything you say, can be a double-edged sword.
Sometimes there are things about us that our closest friends either wouldn’t tell us or couldn’t tell us simplye because we and our close friends often cannot see or think outside of the square that defines the respective cliques we belong to.
I may be mistaken but I interpret this blog of yours as you emerging out of that comfort zone and actually consider what that commenter you cited on your blog above said, plus also what you said — that people who tell you ‘inggit lang sila’ will be banned. A joke of course. But jokes are half meant.

The “friends” is the bottom line of my blog mission which is ‘social climbing’, a term I use for social networking. So, yes, some of these regulars became my “blog friends” because a lot of them, I have not met personally. Trust me, I am not the only blog that has a mutual admiration society – so is FV and others too. But most blogs do end up almost certainly as a mutual admiration club.
No FV regular or writer reads my blog, so you guys have no clue what’s going on in here. One thing I could be proud of is that, not all of these people agree with me but we all can maintain sanity. If you think Cat and I agree all the time, you are mistaken. If you think Bluep and I agree all the time, you are so mistaken. Even Nina. Even Kutz. Even Glo of Daragang Magayon who blasted me already. We don’t fight like FV fights and our disagreements are certainly not blackboard type model, but we’ve managed to maintain civility and things that is destructive in my mission – social climbing.
The statement that says “you’ve pretty much surrounded yourself” is actually incorrect because in blogging, you cannot choose who you’re going to have as your regulars. It’s not your choice. They come because they see something in you that they can connect and that’s where the like-mindedness comes from.
But overall I like what you said and I like what you wrote.
Now, I consider myself well-rounded and all what I have written on the side bar can attest to that. Not all of my blog entries are badingerzie. But this blog is still my after-work-hours club hahaha

I just want to confirm what you said in the first paragraph, that all who come here on Reynz blog are his friends. Thats true.
But we dont often agree with each other.
we have so many paradoxical and conflicting beliefs and views yet it never became an issue. Its not because we dont talk about it or we are like minded people. I beg to disagree on that since it sounds as if we are all in the same feathersand are just licking each others butt.
we are not.
I myself is a conservative catholic blogger. And sometimes I disagree with reynz stance on Gay Marriage. But it never came to a point that we publicly hate nor humiliate each other just because of that particular issue. its because not all issues can be, and must be discussed on the surface of the blog, if you know what I mean.
We discuss matters on private. things that we believe that wont affect the readers since what at stake is our personal beliefs. and for the past two yeasr that me, pareng KK, pareng buraot, reynz, CaT, malen, pusa, Chuva, Kutz and the rest here have been following thiis blog, never did we argue on public nor we condemn each other on yhe basis of beliefs. Because they are just beliefs. everyone is entitled to have that kind of privelege. But friendship is a very rare commodity. It transcends gender, religion and sexual orientation, and sometimes even the educational background.
That is why I would agree with what you said that those people who comment here are his friends. Very True.
But we are not like-minded people. If it seems we are with some issues, its just because we happen to share the same convictions in life, that all bloggers are equal and have an equal footing to be heard.. .
Do you think that Reynz would really change his style? He just asked the question as a form of sarcasm to his detractors to show them that their perception about Reynz Barriotic style doesnt matter because what matters most is what his readers think of him. Thats the point of this post actually. He wanted to show his detractors that even though he is such a wreck when it comes to language and lingo translation, yet it doesnt diminish his wisdom and wit. Even PDI and Malaya has already picked up some articles here. And do you think if Reyz’ writing style is cheap and mal-educated, those peeps from the newspapers would make a fool of themselves by quoting somne of reynz ideas and opinions? Believe it or not, under the surface of this blog, are tons of real-deal media people who you happen to see on the news, reading this blog. Reynz is just discreet about it since most of the media people who read his blog are not commenters.
Not everything you see on the surface has a face value. Not everything is skin deep
Would you really think that Reynz would budge just because some high and mighty bloggers request him to be educated “writing-wise”, cloned acording to the standards set by highfalutin-with no credentials people?
I dont think so.

in England, the people are segregated according to commoner and those with titles. So in the marriage of the royalty and commoner, the stigma of the commoner is always there.
the prosecution complex will always be there regardless of the race and ethnicity.
the black people have not gonebeyond the discrimnation complex because it still exists.
The slavery thing is still very active even though it has already been outlawed.

early Filipinos might have used the same terminology–slaves– but the meaning is totally different. being a slave to your relative because you have utang is a tolerable predicament. being sold by Arabs for slavery in those days was something else altogether.

You’re quite miistaken, Reyna. I had bookmarked your blog months before this whole thing erupted. To be honest, I find your ‘badingerzies’ entertaining — which is why I keep coming back. Presumably people come to FV for different reasons.
And yes of course, the people who frequent/comment on your blog are not your friends any more than most Facebook “friends” are real friends. I use the term loosely here (it’s just blogspeak, kung baga). I agree that they “come because they see something in you that they can connect and that’s where the like-mindedness comes from”. Totally agree. But that’s different from the point I try to make. They come and stick around for one reason, and then comment for another.
I think that guy whose quote you cited is doing you a real favour (beware of those who are a bit too critical of that guy’s view on Pinoy society — a view I happen to agree with
). It’s up to you to figure out how much you will or will not change. I guess whatever your choice will be, society will always respond in a consistent way — true to its character, in our case specifically Da Pinoy character.

imho, i do not think that many manila bloggers hate you. i tend to believe that there are only two or three who can not move on because of your hard hitting commentataries so they summon their fellow microbloggers to take a hit on you.
sometimes, it is not even direct prodding. sometimes, favors such as inclusion in their group are dangled, which is enough to take the acceptance of the character assasination’st ask.
There is a war going on among these groups which like to lay claim in the supremacy on the blogosphere’s publicity business,
you are on the firing line because you are eroding their credibility.
what do you think is the purpose of boasting non-existent traffic?
it is not to impress other bloggers who understand what hits are, unique and views.
it is the people interested to get publicity people in their quests for reaching the
blogospere. ”and if you will trace the contacts of these people, you will see a common name.

But as an added note, Reyna, consider the people who tell you to “stay the way you are”. Are they really doing you a favour by saying that? Or have they simply found in you some kind of validation and therefore see it in their interest to keep you rooted in and limited to your current style?
If you think about it, “stay the way you are RE” is not too different from “inggit lang sila sa ‘yo, RE”.
I’m not saying your style sucks (I did not come her to judge you). In fact you are sure to lose/alienate a big chunk of your readership if you decide to change too much. I’m just saying keep an open mind.

I don’t think Manila bloggers “hate” you. There may have been hurt feelings between some of the people that you’ve had conflict before but I think most, if not all, have moved on. What’s good about conflict is that it brings about change – and hopefully change for the better. Hate is such a strong word. Sobrang daming problema sa buhay ng tao and I don’t think interblog wars should be a major priority. >.<;
As for changing your writing style, I’d have to agree with everyone here. Don’t. I’ve been reading your blog even before the PGB comment, and I’ve always enjoyed your style of blogging.
Each blog has it’s own flavor – and with each distinct taste comes a niche of people that will follow you.
If I may suggest – try reading Seth Godin’s Tribes. Really nice book.

But readers who decided to stick with you for whatever reason, they’re here because they found something in your blog that’s appealing to them, no matter how you write. If it is a way to brighten their day, then so be it.
You should start to think about changes if you are losing readership or if you are questioning yourself if you are still enjoying to write your blog. Then you should examine what are the causes and go from there and make changes if you feel like you need to. IMO, there is nothing wrong with how you write. If they have a problem with it, then as long as your loyal readers like it and are still learning from what you are writing about, don’t fix what ain’t broke. Naghahanap lang yang mga yan ng traffic dahil walang nagbabasa ng kanilang blog. Ganyan talaga, kailangan gumawa ng kontrobersha para makisakay sa kasikatan mo. Very showbiz, diva? Intellectual daw. I think it’s just strategy on their part para sumikat din sila. And let me go back to the first point: this is your blog, not theirs, so you can do whatever you want. Mga pakialamero at inggitera! Kiver! Remember, ang stress ay nagko-cause ng wrinkles.

I don’t think he’s saying anything is “broken”. He’s just saying that the collective brains of society is wired to respond a certain way to certain styles.
But note what you said above. You put the term effective writing in the same sentence as, say, MBA-style writing or college book review-style writing. The earlier describes a real goal in writing while the latter describes a style of writing.
See what I’m getting at?
If you are concerned about people recognising your credentials, then maybe writing to befit the credential you are trying to highlight in you speaks louder than actually screaming about said credentials.
But then if your goal is effective writing in the sense of its effectiveness to the audience you choose to reach as “Reyna Elena”, then it comes in conflict with this goal, doesn’t it? As a lot of people point out, acquiring these credentials is a time consuming and costly exercise. A lot of people who took the effort probably don’t want to see someone actually having those credentials and then behaving a certain way.
I’m just being an armchair psychologist here, but that’s the way I interpret some people’s attitude towards you.

Was I concerned about people knowing my credentials when I put out reynaelena dot com? Hahaha! Nah. This was a humor and a personal blog. I wanted people to see the humor in my dysfunctional life. Not the MBA. Ever read my About Me page?
But if you are what you are, it will show. Look, PDI and Malaya even noticed. Yet, I probably would care for people to look at my credentials had i put out MyRealNameDotCom.
So, you are mistaken by that statement because I was challenged by your FV friends, remember? That’s how my credentials came out. This did not start from me. I just turned the tables around. I was pushed by your friends to the wall and it’s a given that I defend myself.
You still question my effectiveness in writing kahit jologs and badingerzie? Hahaha! This is the reason why I suggested to Nick that FV must have a mission and a vision. I’m not sure if you read that Reyna Elena is probably the only blog I know that has a mission and a vision. My mission? Keep social climbing alive. Vision? World Peace. It’s a BHAG. One big hairy audacious goal. Most visions are difficult to achieve and mine is one of those. Kaya puro gyera dito.
Now, was my writing effective? Hahaha! Do I still have to make a powerpoint presentation on this? Hahaha! Trust me, and this is by no means yabang, your whole concept of how you look at things and vantage point changes once you get an MBA.
You are so not the benigno I know at FV. But I like this in you. See what happens when people talk decently. But worry not about these people. You only need to take a little bit of time to get to know people because the cover is not the entire picture. That’s what my “social climbing” is all about. It’s interesting how people take that literally.

My point mainly is this: you were discriminated against based on your “vulgar” language. It’s irritating to some people, especially people who believe in “class” and often cite a “class act” as if it’s the highest virtue imaginable to a human being. I don’t personally mind your style, but I have to point out the obvious given your problem.
This has been going on for weeks and it needs to be said: if you happen to speak the way you write, no doubt you will be avoided by people that flock FV at best and at worst treated like crap. I’ve seen this happen all my life and have been a perp (a snob) myself in many cases. It’s not a matter of credentials, per se but of personal tolerance. Social upbringing has a lot to do with it. A strong belief in manners for the sake of manners and the superiority of people with “breeding.” Unfortunately, some people even very intelligent people don’t see that “breeding” is more a utilitarian and ad hoc word than a word with real significance in the bigger picture, used mainly to keep the masses at bay. It is meaningless without its most common use; and that is, as a weapon for snobs.
Mind you, I dislike politeness when it gets in the way of expressing truth and true feelings. I mean I’ve learned to dislike it. It used to be top of my list of virtues too, but then I realizde politeness benefits the corrupt elite more than anyone else.
Sorry about the dense language. Maybe in a few hours I will be rested enough to explain in a better style.

I don’t doubt for a minute that your writing is “effective” as your traffic numbers speak for themselves. I was just referring to this whole ‘credentials’ episode and am fully aware that it arose only because of this ‘challenge’ from some FV folk.
I have the same problem too actually as I get constantly challenged not only to show my credentials but to reveal my real “identity” and to demonstrate what I actually do in my personal time to lend credence to the assertions I make on my site that some people get so outraged about. Fact is, i never created GetRealPhilippines.com as a tool for trumpetting my credentials. In fact I exert a constant effort to re-direct people to the ideas behind it rather than the messenger who delivers them.
My usual response to ‘credentialist’ calls follows this simple script (i have it handy in a text file so that I merely copy and paste it everytime the ‘challenge’ comes up):
Will revealing my real identity make the assertion I make any truer or falser?
[The Ca_t is quite familiar with the above line.
]
Replace “identity” with the word “credentials” in the above statement and the idea still holds.
Kung baga if benign0 say, for example, that “Filipinos are pretentious” (and then proceeds to clearly articulate why he thinks so in a compelling manner), does finding out later that “benign0″ is a Doctor of Economics or an elementary school graduated rice farmer change the nature, validity/invalidity, or idea presented by the idea tabled?
Our goals are similar in the sense that I also have a BHAG which is in a slide-show format that you can check out here). We were obviously born and bred on opposite sides of the track but then if people focus more on ideas instead of stuff like that then the whole world becomes a better place, doesn’t it?
“benign0″ is a character created for public consumption. That character’s credentials are derived ENTIRELY from its online activities and consistent take on things over the last nine years — not necessarily from what it does off-line, OUTSIDE of the world of cyber-activity, cyber-relationships, and cyber-affiliations.
Gotta agree though with your observation on how your whole take on things change as you acquire more education. That’s where I’m coming from when I originally said:
I don’t know if you are familiar with the children’s story “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. There’s a lesson to be learned from that story relevant to all this.

Actually ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ is a very short story. In fact I read it in comics form way back when I was little.
The story goes like this:
There was once an Emperor who was told by a crooked trader that he had in his employment a pair of taylors from the Orient who could weave and taylor for him a suit made out of the finest and rarest materials.
The only catch was that the finished suit could be seen only by men of wisdom and would be invisible to fools. The Emperor being intrigued by all this commissioned such a suit. The crooked trader then asked to be given a week to deliver.
After a week the crooked trader came back and went through the motions of fitting the “suit” (which of course didn’t really exist) on the Emperor. The Emperor and his ministers of course couldn’t see the non-existent suit. But lest they be seen as fools wouldn’t admit that they saw nothing.
The crooked trader then suggested that the Emperor go out on a parade to show his magnificent new “suit” to his subjects, which he then did. During the parade all his subjects caught an eyeful of the Emperor in his underwear, but none would admit so for fear of being “exposed” as a “fool”.
All would have gone well until a child no older than four stepped forward and blurted out “but the Emperor has no clothes!”, after which everyone suddenly realised they’ve been had. By then the crooked trader had taken advantage of the focus on the spectacle and fled to a distant land with his handsome payment.
The End!

That particuar example applies more to FV. The emperor is FV itself and that these fools (the writers in there) dressed this site so well by making it appear as though the writers are experts in the particular area they’re writing in. They got away doing this for a while until it came to a point where they have convinced everyone, including themselves, of how good they are.
Until one day, a young Queen (RE) blurted out, “But FV has no credibility!”

Basta kumita ako di nanggamit ng iba, di nanlait ng iba, di “namuna” ng iba – at teka, sino ba nag si set ng standards sa blog? I would admire a jologs blog by a single jologs blogger that gets traffic more than what an intelligent blog by many intelligent bloggers get.
Teka mali pa din ingles ko dun pero wala ako pakialam!

leche.. sumasakit ang ulo ko, mamu. pwede ba, kung ayaw nila sa iyo, dun sila sa mga “niche blogs” nila. bakit ba kaligayahan ng may kaligayahan eh pinapakialaman nila?
sa mga nagsasabing magbago ka ng style para maprove na tutuo ang mga nilabas mong credentials, sa mga taong kung ano-anong diskurso ang pinagsusulat dito para lang masabing intelektwal sila, ano ang point?
as if naman talagang babaguhin mo ang style mo. nasisiraan na ba sila ng bait? babaguhin mo ito eh ang lakas-lakas ng traffic ng blog mo. anoba sila? babaguhin mo itong tulad ng style ng mga blogs nila eh gaano ba kalakas ang traffic nila?
para ma-prove ang mga niladlad mong credentials??? hindi porke’t hindi english ang blog mo at hindi pa-ersh, eh ibig sabihing pudpod ang utak mo. Ang mas pudpod ang mga utak eh yung mga taong nagsusuggest pa kung paano ka magbabago dahil akala nila kinakarir mo talagang mag-bago ng style.

OR…
B. High falutin engrish, political ek-ek pero di naintindihan ng common juan, hindi straight to the point at minsan parang may hidden agenda na ewan. Ni hindi pa nga alam kung totoo ba ang sinasabi o hindi.
Bottomline lang kasi nito: Who is the most understood and appreciated by the audience.

Even though it is understood that the market of a blogger belongs to the middle income bracket, there are still varaibles to consider in choosing style of blogging.
The problem with these marketing experts, pr wannabes is they segementize their market but they choose only one blogging style which takes into account only their preference.
In marketing, it is not your preference which is important, the positioning follows with what market segment you have chosen.
halimbawa, balak mong maabot o makabenta ng iyong ideya sa mga taong hindi mahilig sa malalalim na mga salita, walang panahon ,mag-isip ng mga solusyon sa problema (hindi mo sila masisisi, kung yong mga nasa Senado na mga abugado hindi masolve ang problema, ito pa kayang mga taong ito na abala sa paghahanapbuhay na ang libangan na lang ay magbasa ng isang ikatatawa nila, ano ang pipiliin mong blogging style?
yong bang gumagamit ng mga financial ratios para maipakita na talagang nagkakandahirap ang business sector oh yong leche manigas kayo’t dinugo na ang mga banko sa pagdurusa.

reyna elena has no targeted demographics when i started. alam mo naman, this started because i discovered blogging when i got out of the hospital nung nag-pa sex change ako hahahaha!
as i have said in my manila bulletin interview, blog with passion and something that you like, forget about readership and traffic and popularity because if you make the connection, they will just come. be yourself and not be pretentious dahil no matter how you act as intellectual or kunyaring MBA, sesemplang at sesemplang once your foundations are not real.
for marketers and/or advertisers, one of the biggest mistakes is ignoring a part of demographics, kaya gusto ko yong point mo. it’s as if – segmentation based on excluding a particular group especially sa latest na nangyari den insultuhin pa kamo, conflicts with the basic business objective. nakakalimutan nila na ang bottom line is profit or sales. so, why not devise a strategy to include that part of the group?

There will always be changes and transitions in the blogs. now that you are established, you are aware what the readers are looking for…what provokes them to react on issues.
It is not what you think but it is how you make them think for themselves without necessarily stretching the forntal lobes of their brain.
by this time you already know your readers and their preferences even without them telling you “that you got a splendid new clothes” just to boost your ego.
If they do not like you, they leave the blog. your unique visitors and your number of views show that they are reading not only one page but several pages.
the average length of time that they stay in your blog indicates that they are not just accidental bloghoppers.

Actually I find your blogs very entertaining and just another way of showing your innate creativity in expressing your ideas. Also, I learn a lot about perspectives of different people from different backgrounds since you have high readership. If I want more intellectual discourses/discussions, I go to FV and other internet sites. If I want to laugh, I go your sites. I also like your pictures you regularly post.
So keep it up. The reason I use English is because I just remeber basic tagalog and ilocano words. However, reading your blogs and other similar sites reminds of words that I have forgotten. I think there should be a place for everybody in the blogosphere.

i mistook the COCO in the COCOFAM as Cocofed kaya kala ko related sa industry hahaha
Maganda pala ang line mo. I remember nun sa Barrio Siete, there were this group of Koreans or Japanese ata who came to our Barrio and started a project on fisheries. It really helped the locals dun to improve yong livelihood nila and what I liked kasi they teach yong mga preservation ekek environmental blah blah blah
Now, growing up sa Barrio, these aret eh types na hinahanap ko para sa mga naiwanan nang lecheng kurapsyon and a lot of people does not understand kung gaano kahirap mabuhay sa barrio
Ayan, I hope me mga legislation kayong dyan na medyo matulungan naman ang mga lolo at lola ko dun! hahaha

dear reyna, you and I and a bunch of us Indios have NOTHING to prove to these pretentious modern Ilustrados. in that regard, why change anything? your site have been successful because you are who you are.
and that’s what brought me here, and others who were also “cultured” enough to be worth more than those spolied brats of high society and smart enough to discern a “satirical piece when it hit us in the face”.
assuming for a while that i am a literary critic, i would be making a fool out of myself if i try to grasp any literary worth browsing through this site. therefore, if somebody would grade you regarding grammar, proper punctuations and kung anu ano pa, bagsak ka talaga.
but this site is nothing like that. you’re not like them, using high “polluting” words to confuse the readers and led them to believe that what they’re reading are intellectual in nature, but in fact were hogwash.
we do not go to their level. in their mind, they have their own, let them have it.

Sumusulat ako ulit sa iyo upang ipa-abot sa iyo ang aking pag bati ng magandang araw. Dahil sa nangyayaring recession hindi na ako maka-pag comment sa iyung mga entries dahil ako’y lagi na lang huli sa mga topics…lam mo kasi tipid ang buhay kaya kami’y umaasa lang sa aming kapit-bahay ng signal para maka-connect ng internet. At nitong naka lipas na buwan wala kaming makuhang signal. Well, life goes on….at naka buti rin dahil ang aking mahal na missis ay natutong tumayo sa kanyang upuan na kaharap ng computer. Sa kababasa ng Mahal na Reyna dot com, lalong lumaki ang bilbil ng aking kawawang missis (hehehehe).
Ngayon nag ka-oras na naman syang maglakad at ipasyal ang mga bata sa park. Kaya kung meron kaming signal saka lang namin na babasa ang iyung mga entries. Napakinggan ko rin ang iyung mala announcer na boses sa iyung ipod. Natutuwa kami at busy kana sa iyung trabaho at hanga pa rin dahil may oras ka pa ring mag blog when ever you have time, hindi mo pa rin pinababayaan ang iyung mga readers na nag aabang at naghihintay ng makabuluhang kwento . Agree ako sa iyung mga intelehenteng mga Reyna fan readers, hindi mo dapat baguhin ang iyung istilo ng pag susulat. Nai-iba ka dahil malawak ang iyung kaisipan, nababasa mo ang isip ng iyung mga readers at na re-reach mo ang pinaka-sensitive na damadamin ng nakararami.
Hindi rin kita masisisi kung bakit pinapatulan mo ang mga katulad ni Pat Mangubat , dahil sinisira nya ang iyung pangalan………pero tuwang tuwa sila dahil kung hindi sa iyo hindi maginging million ang kanilang readers (hahahahaha). At ito namang si Benign0 ginawa pang tonto ang mga readers ng Reyna. At tine-testing ka talaga kung hanggang saan ang iyung intelelehente. Tanga talaga itong si Benign0, sino ang hindi nakaka-alam ng kwento tungkol sa hari na inuto ng dalawang man ga-gansho? I-ki-nompare ka nya sa hari at ang mga readers mo eh sa mga mag-uuto at sya ang batang nag sasabi ng totoo! ( hahahaha…….kakatawa talaga ang mga taong bobo !) pero naka ganda ang pag pasok nya sa iyung blog at nag comment dahil naka dag-dag ng iyong traffic. Anyway, ang masasabi ko lang kitang kita kung sino ang mga taong makikitid ang mga isip. Ayaw tumanggap na sila ay talunan, at malaki ang inggit sa iyo. Well, para sa akin binigyan mo na sila ng attention na hinahanap nila , tama na siguro iyun, don’t give them anymore free link sa kanilang website.
Kaya pala ako sumulat sa iyo ay dahil malapit na ang mothers day.Gusto kong batiin ang iyung mga fans ng Happy Mothers Day! Lalong lalo na ang aking mahal na missis na si Annie. At sa mga may asawa at sa kanilang mga nanay ‘wag kalimutang batiin ng Happy Mothers Day ang mahahalagang babae sa buhay nila!

I’m a new reader kaya di ko alam ibang acronyms. So I’m going to ask:
What creature is FV? Really – I don’t know po kasi.
Point no. 2. Iyong reader na you cited talked about good writing. Presumably, he doesn’t think you write well. That’s my impression.
The danger with this kind of critique is that it tempts readers like me to see if you know that you’re talking about. If you need to speak about good writing, you had better be a good writer yourself.
Perhaps, your gentleman critic will do well to check his own writing.
Halimbawa: “If you shoot arrows, better know the make of the warhead if it will penetrate your opponents armor.”
At kailan naman nagkaroon ng warhead ang arrows, aber? Okay, let’s disregard that and suspend our disbelief. Let’s get to the next point – you’re talking of arrows, e bakit naman kaya ito ang kapartner ng statement na ito: “..if IT will penetrate your opponents armor.” Just asking.
Pasensya na po. I would have picked the more substantial points raised by these critics, pero sadly I couldn’t find any so I trained my guns on these droppings. Essentially, that’s what they are – mere bird droppings.
Di me masyado at home sa English kasi barriotic din me. Pero by God pag mamumuna naman please be sure you’re writing with a British accent man lang ano.
Yun lang po.
I like this blog. I don’t have much use for royalty and titles myself. Pero parang I’m starting to like it na rin. But only because sa lahat ng pagtitipon ng mga de tituladong taong katulad nyo very rare na kakitaan ng lack of pretensions to nobility or elitism dito. And this blog community has that rare quality. Splendid.
Congrats kay RE at sa mga walang katulad na mga blog commenters. Ano ba yan kasing bida na ni RE ang mga commenters. This comment section feels like it’s the star of the show itself. lol

2nd, taglish, french, espanol, english and badingerzie and language here.
3rd, follow the category on Filipino Voices, because of the history.
Essentially, it started with name calling and ended up with FV challenging my credentials.
I put out my credentials and then I turned the tables around by asking them of theirs.
They have nothing to offer. The ones listed were fake credentials, embellished education and zero experience.

Hi. Mabasa mo pa kaya ito sa sobrang haba na ng thread na ito. Siguro gabi na rito sa Pinas di ko pa tapos basahin ito. sang topic pa lang. Hanggang ngayon Reynz nahihiwagaan pa rin ako sa mga tumutuligsa sa ‘writing or blogging style’ mo. Ang galing mo ngang masulat (pwera charing at ayaw ko niyan) . Hindi ako maka-cope sa pinag-uusapan unless simulan ko so umpisa. eh wala akong ganong kahabang oras, di bale, mauunawaan ko rin ang lahat pagdating ng panahon (parang kanta ni Aiza S) .

Lurker ako sa blag mo ng matagal-tagal na rin. Yan style mo ang nagpasikat sau so bakit mo kailangan palitan? As I understand, ito yung outlet mo ng mga bagay-bagay na pumapasok sa kukute mo. Isa pa, ito yung isang paraan mo para mailadlad mo yung ibang dimension ng buhay mo na base sa mga iba mong posts ay hindi mo malayang maipakita sa iyong current environment. So parang kung sa buong araw ay subsob ka sa trabaho at nagpi-pretend ka bilang kung sino, ito naman yung outlet mo para sa isang buhay na gusto mo — isang malaya at masayang buhay na hindi kailanman kailangang makipag pitpitan ng itlog para kumita ng ikabubuhay.

So why bother with people na ang tanging maipagmamalaki ay yung estado nila sa lipunan? Magaling nga siguro sila mag-ingles at madalas na nakikita ang mukha sa lifestyle section ng mga dyaryo sa manila pero hanggang dun na lang sila. Baka nga ang iba sa mga yun eh tinitira ka para makakuha ng attention.
