Intellectual dishonesty
Ako si Reyna Elena, one pantasyadora, forever dreaming to be the first curvaceousness woman president of the republic of the flippines. But before you walk, you gotta crawl. And before this barriotic punk rises up to become a pwesident, I have to become a good janitress. Which is why my current contribution to Pinoy Blogosphere aside from my royal presence is a complete shake-up of Sintunado Voices to clean up their acts. If Nick can spearhead one bloodletting let go of Malu Fernandez, he should be able to clean up his turf in one flush. It’s not against morality in Vatican nor any of Gloria’s decree to demand excellence. If Nick can demand excellence from Manila Standard, then why coddle and cuddle intellectual dishonesty with the likes of Empress Cocoy?
Scared to face their own challenge to Reyna
Nick, mah fwend, you either clean up the system or ignore it to a point where it sucks you up. It’s a challenge put on me by your writers at Sintunado Voices and it’s a challenge that I put on you all now. Where are your credentials?!

To ya’all riding in the crest of this credibility/credentials discussion and are having some problems understanding the issue on the table, je me presente cette mademoiselle Rom who can better explain it compared with the rest of the rah-rah boys n gurls and writers singing Sintunado Voices combined:

Quack Doctor’s prescription
As Philippine blogging evolves to be of better service to the Filipino community, bottom line is exactly the same as what we expect from our government. MSM’s or MNM’s. No more, no less. For this blog to rise up to the challenge here’s what they need to do:

A mission and a vision. Their current mission and vision at the moment is focused on sabotaging Reyna Elena. Merci beaucoup parce que, this is really feeding my ego and my attention deficit syndrome. But Filipino Voices will have a hard time putting me down because mine are based on solid ground not fake, but real credentials through blood, sweat, tears and uber-panlalait with no connections. One genuine Overseas Filipino hard work. I earned mine. How’d you earned yours? Asshole!

Leadership. Filipino Voices needs a strong leader. A leader who’d steer the ship back on its track and whip its kids and ground them. Right now, they’re one lost ship out in the South China Sea near Chip Tsao’s vacation house in the Spratly’s.

Transparency. Believability calls for transparency. Own your word. Own your statement. Defend them out in the open not through the cloak of anonymity. It’s cowardice. That’s not being intellectual. If you have the gut to criticize, then you should have the courage to be criticized. Who said that there’s a one-way street here?

Equality. Oh, for gremlins sake, let Benigno stay. Hallerr! We all need him for how can one claim intelligence without a dimwit? Aber?! I swear to all the fairy fking godmothers, he is not useless! Hahaha! (Pa-kiss nga ‘Pre!)
A challenge to Nick
My respect for Nick has not changed despite his Sintunado Warriors battle with Reyna Elena. Heck! I have pom-pom gurls too like Cat, Silver and many more! But this is an open challenge for Nick to steer Sintunado Voices to its right tune in the Filipino blogging community and not be blessed by another sintunado award giving body that is also sintunado in itself. Leche! Ano ba ang mga to?! Hmpt!
Big opportunity in Pinoy Blogosphere
There’s one big opportunity at the moment in Pinoy Blogosphere – who is going to be the Philippines counterpart of Da Huffington Post? I could honestly tell you that its definitely not Sintunado Voices at it’s current state of being one nasty tabloid full of pseudo-fake intellectuals, cannibalizing each other that will put to shame the show of the world wrestling federation, worse, backed up with fake credentials, embellished education and zero experience.
Credentials discussion lives on. This is just a prelude to what you will be reading soon.

Ooops, 20 mg of Ritalin is actually verging on toxicity for the beginners. Wrong prescription. Correct prescription should be 5-10 mg, bid for initial dosages…
even large dosages or Ritalin are titrated to prevent toxicity.
You can’t allow an ADHD patients to have meditation and relaxation techniques since
1) they are children
2) the nature of their disorder is hyperactivity, so Relaxation and meditation regimens are obviously ineffective and therapeutically incompatible.
May I suggest you give Reynz Lithium instead, 500-2400 mg per diem, via 300 mg sustained released tablets.. its the recommended meds for Bipolar Disorder — the adult form and medically correct counterpart of ADHD in adults — in case you don’t know.
Pardon me, but a meds police just happened to pass by.
Just focus on Politics, you’re better at that.

Pero when it comes to meds, I think I have something to say. I’m not a doctor but I know what my profs told me in NCMH about ritalin. Unfortunately, the drug that DJB mentioned is under psychaitric nursing, and Its my forte, not expertise, but just a personal forte. and Just to add, when he said implicitly, I’m Padre damaso, well I think its very inaccurate. Padre damaso has a child out of wedlock, and historically (I hope DJB knows this) Padre Damaso and the rest of the friars that Rizal was referring to in Noli are those friars who are neither seminarians nor religious. Its because during that time, the spanish missionaries (franciscans, Jesuits, dominacns and agustinians) lack manpower to convert the whole island, so what they did to compensate the lack of numbers is to dress the ordinary lay (read: ordinaryong tao na walang bokasyon at walang training sa simbahan) to pose as friars. Thats why there were so many abuses at that time, not by the authentic religious themselves, but by the friars which Padre Damaso clearly represented in Rizal’s novel. My point is, if I am Padre Damaso, then let me burn my Transcript and achievemnents in the seminary. If I am Padre Damaso, then sya naman si Sisa, who has a memorial statue in NCHM Mandaluyiong. Haha

I’m pretty sure Manolo is handling himself very well. It’s his friend in the Hudas Barabas in you whose trying to dehumanize him. I would not be surprise if Manolo dumps you DJB. It’s about time the guy starts hanging out with some quality people who are more equal opportunity and not selfish.
This is very much about you DJB. You made a mistake about the apology thing, right? And then you switched gear and voila, cry baby ang Reyna when in fact, you’re the one crying out loud because you can’t accept your friend action. Are you really his friend? It’s even more about my beauty and my aspirations to join Binibining Pilipinas. It’s about my credentials that was challenged by Sintunado Voices and you’re now one of them. For the record, I have not called anyone at Reyna Elena a “dimwit”–this is entirely a characterization from Reyna Elena hisself. Indeed, there were many Members of the Chip Tsao Lynch Mob at FV and all over the blogosphere. But I agree with Manolo’s original statement that these folks would not recognize satire or sarcasm “if it hit them in the face.” I am sure he had a LOT of people in mind, not just you, fcol, Reynz. He was referring even to those at FV, Facebook (mainly) and others who jumped on the anti-Chip Tsao bandwagon after Nicole turned them all into ululating anti-VFA fools.
I have conceded that Manolo was right on both counts: in his Judgment of the lynch mob’s rash judgment, and in making the apology. Saying sorry to the wart hogs, as it were, for scattering pearls before them and showing them the precipice.

Are you kidding? Tell RE what to write about? It would be easier to put a cork on Taal Volcano. But I don’t think FV is supposed to be restricted to politics. Most my contributions have to do with Law and Religion. I’ve been blogging at a new site and put all my FV related essays here:
Gay Culture, like religious culture or indigenous culture, is fair game. As are media and blogging too. Just because someone is gay, or religious or indigenous does not exempt him from our critical examination. For example some gay bloggers seem to think that being gay gives them the warrant to be silly and mount pitiful attempts to be unique or different., to “act out.” I find it droll and boring.
BTW, regarding credentials. I like the description of a blogger as being basically a literary critic. Thus when Manolo posted spontaneously on FACEBOOK that he thought some Filipino Bloggers would not recogize saracasm and satire if it hit them in the face, he was making a critique of the anti-Chip Tsao Lynch Mobs and their writings. His apology was of course his to give and I have not power to affect that, but the truth of his literary criticism of those bloggers is not obviated by his apology, which was indulgently and generously given to assuage ruffled feathers.
I have no standing in the matter other than as a bystander chuckling at the fulminant emotions and extravagant but tawdry pathos of the whole thing.
The FACT stands. A bunch of Pinoy bloggers don’t recognize, refuse to recognize sarcasm, satire and wit in a Chinese magazine writer. Instead they feel referred to. Why? Is it a guilty conscience?
Chip Tsao won’t be the end of it either, I wager. Ang pikon talo. Worse, ang pikon is always picked on, endlessly. Until they become a Good Sport.

C’mon Reynz you know I would gladly donate to your causes since I have linked to Reyna Elena dot com for several years on Philippine Commentary. But yeah, I am promoting my new anti-Religion website, The The Rizalist Press courtesy of your bandwidth. As they say, “No Blog Is An Island!”
However, I was hoping for more than tit-for-tat with you on the merits of the issue. I assert that Manolo’s initial judgment was essentially correct about the way Pinoy bloggers reacted to Chip Tsao. Quite apart from his apology about how he delivered this judgment, the fact that the judgment, was, and is true is not obviated by the apology.
It is, to use your turn of phrase, intellectually dishonest to deny that after a second and third look, there are obvious figures of speech like sarcasm, satire and a sardonic wit that abound in the writing of Mr. Chip Tsao. He is not, in the simplistic jingoism of the Lynch Mobs, some kind of pure racist pig who hates Filipinos because they ARE Filipinos. He was addressing international issues in an intelligent, or at least, earnest way. Not much different than even the best of our active writers and bloggers.

the only reason i found myself there is because i read and followed the link from here. i found some articles there to be worth reading. unfortunately, even if the article was worth reading, you have to watch out giving a contrary opinion, otherwise, they will tear you into pieces, personally.
even if the actual premise of the argument is valid, once magkaron na ng discussion, nauuwi na sa personalan at puro pag-a-avoid sa original na issue.
kaya di na ko papasyal dun. nasasayang lang ang powers ko. tutal milyon milyon naman na ang readers nila. hanef. kanila na lang yun. if they believe themselves to be demi-gods of political punditry, well… kanya kanyang paniwala naman yan.

And besides, he should be careful in making this kind of articles. Kasi sa TV, sinasabing the Failon family and the hospital wont comment further muna, even the police. At sinasabi din dun na yung wife ni Ted Failon is fighting for her life.
Tapos dyan sa article nya, sinasabing CLINICALLY DEAD – then mas nakakatawa pang – WAG MUNA DAW MAGSPECULATE, PRAY NA LANG MUNA.
So ibig sabihin, dineclare nya ng patay yung wife ni Ted Failon??? Isama pa nga na maraming missing facts sa article nya. E kung yung post nga nya na patutsada kay Reyna Elena e hindi updated – sabihan ba namang CPA at walang trabaho? Bwishet.
Dapat mag-ingat siya sa pagsulat ng mga ganyan post. Baka maging liable yan siya in the future. Palibhasa kasi, gustong makauna sa scoop, feeling intellectual eng-eng, and sikat – Asus naman.
He should have looked into the articles that he has been churning out. Wag magspeculate pero ang article nya e nagpamigay ng detalye about this sensitive case. Wag daw mag-insinuate pero ang article nya e some sort insinuating. Argh.

What kind of religion? the three monotheistic religions? the seven heretical religions? the 15 schismatic christiam religions? The oriental religious? the South american religions? the African religions? The Ancient religions? or the 10 branches of Protestanism? which is which?
Religion is very broad. And I have to ask him, with all due respect, if he is a former seminarian or have masters or doctorate in theology. Since if you claim you are an expert in religion, you should either be a Doctor Divinis, secular, lay or religious alike. Other wise theres no point of telling others that your contributions are religious in nature.
Once a religion and expertise in politics are mixed, credibility is at stake. Tapos sasabihin nila separation of church and state?
Kaya nga gumawa ako ng separate political blog its because readers dont want to mix religion with politics unless when you tackle politics, you r tone or approach is religious in nature.
Even seminarians, no matter how extensive their study about the different religions (yes not only Catholicism) eh they do not claim they are experts nor have authority on this matter. I myself is not counted as an expert on religion. I just blog according to the capacity of my small and insignificant brain.

As far as am concerned, if the bloggers on FV were charging a fee before viewers can read their blogs – I will definitely read up on their credentials in the same manner that I will read up on the credentials of the people behind the STRATFOR or RGEMONITOR website, before taking out my plastic.
If it were a free site – then, I’ll look at the content and its consistency, probably look at the credentials but not give it much weight – as in when browsing the HUFFINGTONPOST site.
Now in a blog like FV (or similar sites for that matter) which is not a paid-subscription site and isn’t revenue-driven either, the nearest thing I can think of is a townhall site or a barber shop where the bloggers are barberos and all the commentaries are kwentong barbero – and no one needs credentials for kwentong barbero.

UPDATE: here’s the BREEKING NEWS by Pat Mangubat:
While I’m writing this, the lovely wife of ABS-CBN Channel 2 news anchor Ted Failon is in serious condition at the New Era University General Hospital. The hospital is just meters away from their conjugal home in Tierra Pura, Tandang Sora avenue, Quezon City (though as of latest, ABS-CBN 2 told non-channel 2 reporters that she’s not there. Yet, it is positive that the wife of Ted is really inside the ICU of the hospital)
Bong Osorio, ABS-CBN head for Corporate Communications called for understanding and avoid speculations as to the cause of the incident. Some malicious tongues say that Ted’s wife allegedly committed suicide, which is, to say the least, a very malicious insinuation.
Ted is still distraught as to what happened to his young wife, which I believe, is a few years younger than Ted. His wife has been with him since he first started his career as a young broadcaster over at ABS-CBN 2. I was fortunate to meet her with Ted when I was doing my OJT over at DZMM Channel 2.
Right now, the wife of Ted Failon is clinically dead, according to sources in the hospital. She reportedly sustained a gunshot wound in the temple. Sketchy reports say she shot herself early afternoon.
My dear readers, let’s pray for her safe recovery. Let’s refrain from all speculations. Let’s respect the privacy of Mr. Ted Failon especially in this time when their family is undergoing a very serious situation.

@Reesie, I just finished reading his speculations-filled entires haha.
I don’t want to sound demeaning, just want to ask:
Does he know the flow of consistency on his posts, past and present? Is he aware that what he is posting is actually deemed as something “illogical and not well thought off?” I am a self confessed walking contradiction and most of the times I inject deliberately many contradicting theories and ideas in a single post. That is because I want to point something.
Pero what I just read is totally beyond the capacty of my miniscule brain hahahaha Tinalo pa ako sa dami ng contradictions at inconsistencies sa post.
If only a Capuchin prof I know would read his entry, he would scold him to death in spanish and declare his work “void of common sense and logical association” in big red ink hahaha

Looks like the most common expression on this happie blog is: “hahahahaha”. (more repeated syllables and ALLCAPS it seems– the “tenser” the topic).
There’s this guy at FV nowadays who makes the following sound: “bwihihihihihi”
Say…did you guyz just kick someone out recently with that very literate commenting style? They don’t moderate comments at FV so they usually get the Scum of the Earth lurking around. It’s braver and more open, but you have a more controlled, and I daresay, incestuous environment here.

Article is so damn contradictory. Drowning in contradictions, I must say.
Saying that the lady is CLINICALLY DEAD yet asking for readers to stay away from speculating. I dont know if this helps the case, Mr. Mangubat. And then in your recent post in your blog site, you are comparing the case to OJ Simpson’s while there is no statement coming from the police because they are still doing their investigations.
And yet, you are calling not to insinuate and add malice to the case. What a piece of crappy writing.
Nung kinumpara mo sa case ni OJ Simpson etong case ni Ted Failon, parang sinabi mo na din na siya ang pumatay sa asawa nya. I thought you are reminding everybody not to add malice, not to insinuate etc. While in fact, you are the one starting it.
I dont know if you are paying respects to the family because of the sensitivity of this case. And I dont know if you have the BRAINS not to blog this first and pangunahan ang pulisya – because of the sensitivity of this case. Talo pa sa pambalot ng tinapa ang article na ito.
Question to Mr. Mangubat:

I must confess… I have no credentials to speak of. My entire present existence and credential if you can call it that is summarized in just three letters:

Unlike most you good folks, I am jobless, powerless and inconsequential. My carbon footprint is intentionally minimal. I fly no jets, avoid eating anything that had a soul, and stay away from internal combustion as much as possible.

Suppose you are asked to be Judge in a Beauty Contest among Wart Hogs. You show up at the venue and mutter under your breath, (not knowing that the mike is ON), saying “Gee, all these contestants are butt-ugly.” Of course they all start crying like babies, and you, being gennulmun, naturally apologize profusely, saying of course you didn’t mean what you said. But the truth of what you said is out there, as testified too by their hot and profuse tears.
Judgment and Apology. They are two different things. I have conceded that the apology is for Manolo to give, and honestly, I am neither my ego nor my id is THAT close to him. But the judgment that he made cannot be withdrawn or negated by the apology.
He may assuage your feelings for telling the truth, but a wart hog is still a wart hog, and that is how the Lynch Mobs against Chip Tsao acted.
Manolo was right both times I will grant you: both in his original judment and in his apology.
I, on the other hand, am not so squeamish about calling a Spade and Spade. If he insulted anyone, Chip Tsao insulted those who are NOT servants and might be ashamed to BE a servant. I on the other hand was a manual laborer for a time and might have been proud to be deemed as coming from a Nation of Servants.
But the Lynch Mobs themselves have no servants in them, because the fact is, Filipino servants are about ten times better off under Hong Kong Chinese, on average, than their ever-loving Filipino amo. I bet Louise is ten times happier under Chip Tsao than most Filipino maids working as indentured servants in the homes of the masked men and women and whatevers of the Lynch Mob.
The ludicrous thing of course is like the Catholic Church and the Da Vinci Code, most the Lynch Mob has never, NEVER actually read very much of Chip Tsao. They ride on the juice of jingoism, prejudice and ignoble rash judgment. they claim it’s patriotism. I think it’s a disdain for manual labor. .

let me put it in a psychological rationale Buraot and Reynz
when a person is already experiencing high levels of anxiety due to pressures and stress caused by conflicts, the unguarded defense mechanism surfaces. This is the reason why we see who we really are in times of stress and pressures because the unconscious surfaces. The true self hibernating in our subconsciousness make its presence known by behaviors totally unexpected of the norm. The unguarded behavior manifests without anymore control, let alone awareness. That is why the main benefit in learning psychology and psychiatry is self awareness. when you are self-aware of your actions, the trigger points of your temperaments, the threshold of your anxiety level, you have a hold on yourself therefore, it mitigates the occurrence of defense mechanisms. There are two types of mechanisms: defense mechanisms which are negative and coping mechanisms which are positive. these two types helps us alleviate stress and anxiety.
The catch is this. when a person is not psychologically, emotionally and spiritually integrated, the person tends to shift his gears to defense mechanisms instead of coping mechanisms.
That;s why DJB is acting out all of his defense mechanisms because he has no self awareness. if he is self aware of his weaknesses and trigger points, he would not resort to these kind of behaviors.
DJB would be a nice specimen for BS Psychology students I tell you LOL
I’m not saying he is insane, he just have some serious psychological issues which we usually coin as personality disturbances. I am not Judging him, but based on his age, he is definitely too late to be therapeutically fixed. Yet sabi nga nila, habang buhay may pag asa. ewan ko lang pero the statistics of elder people changing their attitudes and behavior is so narrow. Simply because in their lifetime, they already formed a stone principle that no one could ever break. there is already a wall.

I was reading DJB’s blog last year concerning The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, and having a background in science and philosophy, it appeared to me that he doesn’t really grasps what he’s talking about, there were many wonderful rebuttals concerning Dawkins’ claim about God and evolution but his replies were merely copy/paste phrases from the book itself! and I HIGHLY DOUBT that someone who claims to have a physics degree from Harvard would find Dawkins’ Ultimate Boeing 747 Gambit on the non-existence of God to be intellectually satisfying because it is NOT, upon reading this blog I have now firm confirmation that DJB is a POSER and not who he claims he is! and upon doing research on his “supposed” grandfather, Jose Bocobo, I find it hard to believe that a man who was so religious and pious as him would have an atheist,anti-theist grandson as this DJB! the man is a FRAUD! truly the internet waves have ships with barnacles need cleaning!
