Freak statement
I’m pissed at MLQ3’s twisted statement. Di ako maka-move on, wala naman kaming relasyon. Litsi! Nasaktan ang feelings ko, pati na kasu-kasuan ko. Let me repeat, “his twisted statement”. Kiver what he is, real or enchanted kingdom. But generally, moi? Me no likey likey pretentious mothers, doctoris, bloggers and rockers alike. It’s one thing being herded by Chip Tsao as a country of servants – ang lecheng yon! But I find it annoyingly disgusting for MLQ3 to herd us in one column called abno in sarcasm, satire and irony kung ang statement na to is trulala. Haller!!! Yeah, this is my grrr-action sa nabasa ko ki Donya Victorina that says:
“Manuel L. Quezon III recently posted in his Facebook account: “All the crap bout that [HK] columnist comes from pinoys who wouldn’t know satire sarcasm or irony if it slapped them on the face.”
The Irony
Should I request tuition refunds from these American universities where I graduated because they failed to teach me what is sarcasm, satire, ironing board and the entire palantsahan of the packing Miriam dickshoenary?! I actually read the irony of MLQ3’s twisted statement versus what he’s trying to project. His blog entries are well-thought out and well research, kasing-haba nang bibliya. Kung mali or tama ang laman? Who knows.
Project Runaway
To me, MLQ3’s swipe to those who made some ferocious responses to Tsao?! Project Runaway. Yeah, a runaway statement from MLQ3! The last blogger on earth who I would expect to spit that freak statement. You shoulda makey makey some exceptions dah’ling! Adoration pa naman kita bepoor. Nut anymoor. Those freak statements are better moored.
Sarcasm, satire and irony. What’s in it? Sibuyas?!
So, somebody please voulez vous coucher avec moi et Explainer this s’ilvousplait or else mag-a-ala Boyet Fajarditas ako at magpapaluhod nang blogger for summarily labeling us who castigated Chip Tsao as wa knowing about wat MLQ3 knowing. Pwede vah?! Pour moi?! It’s blasphemy! Leche! Hmpt!

Kundangan kasi itong gobyerno natin noh, alam naman na nila na inaabuso talaga ang karamihan sa Pinay domestic helpers lalo na sa Hongkong at Saudi, alang ginagawa para maglagay ng safety nets to protect our abang alindog! Instead pinadala ng pinadala sa lahat ng bansang may inidoro ang kawawang si Juana dela Cruz. Ilan na ba ang na Flor Contemplacion at Sarah Balabagan sa ating mga OFW ha??? Naghigpit ba sila sa screening ng employers? WALA!!! Pasakan mo lang nga placement fee, padala pa rin ng OFW ang mga hayop. Ngayon at ipinamukha sa atin ang ating social status in the eyes of some employers, gagatungan ang taong bayan para mag react? Para ano? Para i deviate ang attention sa kainutilan ng gobyerno ng Pinas? Puh-leeezzzz! Pakibaba ang kilay ko!

I am VERY MUCH DISSAPOINTED to hear these from a grandson of a former President of Republic of the Philippines. I have so much respect to MLQ Sr.
What I hate about it is of all people who would not find the article written as insulting as I do is so blind-and-selfish. To think that those remarks are okay to be published.
Being a servant or domestic helper (the proper term that should be used actually) does not make them lesser humans! All races are supposed to be equal! No matter what your rank is, in the society!
Stop making excuses that it was supposed to be a sarcasm or satire entry! ‘Cause it is not! I didnt see any sign of it in the article!
If a Pinoy finds this article funny then you should face the mirror and ask your self if you deserve such remark!
As I have mentioned in my entry regarding this CHEAP Tsao!
When you have nothing good to say about someone, that the time you really need to SHUT THE HELL UP!

writers have the tendency to protect each other, good or bad.
it is a pity that manolo did not write this in his blog otherwise, there will be negative reactions.
What is wrong with MLQ3’s statement? He called the opinions of others as crap and inidrectly called them morons who do not understand what satire as if he is the only one who is licensed to discern what a satire is.
for an opinionmaker, i was expecting him to be tolerant of opinion of others.
I am one of those who disagreed with Manolo so I am one of those that spew craps that was “digg”. .
For one, i could not find these elements of satire in the writings:
1. A manner of writing that mixes a critical attitude with wit and humor in an effort to improve mankind and human institutions
Calling the philippines a nation of servants and telling these servants not to flex their muscles do not in anyway contribute to the improvement of mankind.
it is backsliding to the dark ages when people do not have the rights to express themselves…well that could be explained because chip tsao is a leftist, a follower of mao tse tung’s ideals which have been forgotten by majority of the Chinese because it did not make their nation to prosper.
2. The best satire does not seek to do harm or damage by its ridicule.
a good example of satire is an article about the importance of proofreading and showing all the mistakes of the person doing the proofreading.
3. An object is criticized because it falls short of some standard which the critic desires that it should reach.
An example of this satire is if the very obvious is made complicated because of adherence to standards operating procedure no matter how moronic it is. A good example is a news satire about a victim of crocodile that needs forensic experts to verify the DNA of the corocodile to confirm that it is the killer.
There should be wit and humor. i did not see both because the humor was done at the expense of people who are not of his level (domestic helpers) thereby making the remarks more of a bigotry.

This was a very good comment, we can all learn a lot from this one. These are the ones that I like. Comments where we all can get something good at.
I remember the Malu Fernandez case. I was one with Nick of Tingog in asking that Malu be fired as a writer because students out there are getting some role models from her.
Ang opinion ni MLQ3? Negative. He’s not with us.
I responded to his comment in his blog. My reasoning? That it was some sort of promissory note that just in case in the future sya naman ang maging Malu Fernandez that he not be fired.
It seemed like I have a bolang kristal that seemed clearer now. I still dis-agree with his position from the Malu case, but I was not angry at him.
This one right? It’s different. Feeling nya, he’s the only one who’s got all the brains wired. Sino ba sya?

In this age of technology where you can verifiy the definition of a word with just one click of your mouse, you can go ahead it would not hurt you.
i do not even ave to suggest to you the best satires that I have read and the website that satirizes all news.
They are not meant to make you laugh if they are funny, revulse when they are too gross but there is only one common denominator among these literary genre…the satirist wants the readers to see what’s wrong and be able to correct them.
Otherwise, they’re just like stand up comedians which earn their money at the expense of making fun of people.

certainly, there are definitions out there (i saw it in wikipedia) that say satire must have some reformist zeal…
first, i don’t think this is universal. more importantly, i don’t think it characterizes contemporary satire (i’m interested in this tho, so i’m reading up on it)
most interesting to me (to ask your opinion re this), is that i contend that this is a strange definition. this means that we have to look into the heart of the satirist and judge his motivations.
consider george carlin’s 7 dirty words (subsequently led to more regulation). do we know why george carlin said his monologue? i don’t think he’s ever copped to wanted less or more regulation on free speech.
he did it, coz it challenged the establishment. he did it coz it was funny. its satire.
Pasensya na mudra…*sabay tanggal ng muta..hahah* na-late ako sa klase itech..

To me, since MLQ3 is a writer, columnist, political blogger and now, feeling superior, HIS EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIALS IS A FAIR GAME. We, abno people about him, who was able to believe in what he writes and talks should at least have some sense of comfort kung saang school nangggagaling ang school of thoughts nya. Therefore, ok lang yong magtanong kung saang school ba yan graduate.
Yes, someone has already told me about this. That he is taking up masters degree kahit na walang bacherlors na tinapos.
This is similar to that Ricky Rivera who claimed to have Honoris Causa.
I don’t know kung sinong niloloko nang mga to pagdating sa educational credentials. Haller! I was not born yesterday.
If Manolo is taking his masters degree without a bachelors, who knows baka uber-talino at supreme ever ni Manolo that he was accelerated by this Australian university to get a masters. Saan ba yang Australian university na yan? Sa may Recto???

Chip Tsao (Chinese name: ??) was educated in Warwick University (English Literature), and obtained a diploma in international relations in LSE. He worked for BBC for 8 years before returning to Hong Kong. He is famous for his satirical writting style (people think that he supposedly learn them from British satire proses), and he is a very famous for criticizing the Chinese and Hong Kong government.

Sori na lang sila, nanalo ako sa pa raffle nga thesis sa Recto, hehehehe, joke!
Actually Ateng, hindi ko thesis adviser si Dr. Limjap pero kasama sha dun sa panel nung ang aking abang alindog ay nag defend ng thesis. Avah, di mo maiisahan ang mudra ni Jon kasi kilala sa photographic memory yun…Napanood mo ang pelikulang Rain Man ni Dustin Hoffman? HAHAHAHA, ganun katindi ang memory ni Dr. Ching Limjap kaya di wedeng mandaya ng thesis dahil lahat ata ng mga strategies at instruments ng mga thesis sa buong library ng DLSU pati sa National Library eh nabasa na nya at natatandaan word for word, uhuhuhuhuhuuuu, parusa….

Ito ang healthy na blogging world. May nagkakamali, may nag aadmit ng mali, may tama, may medyo tumama, at minsan wala lang….
I admire MLQ3 more now…. Dati binabasa ko lang ang mga entires nya side by side reyna elena. Sa ginawa nyang apology, accepting his fault and clearing up what he meant sa mga nasabi nya, never fighting back even after the heated comments sa taas. (Di masisi ang mga nag comment sa nasabi nya may point sila.)

this certainly doesn’t sound like mlq3 of the blog daily dose where he is usually quite formal and circumspect, pa-fair and objective, even when provoked. i suppose he was on a different mode in facebook, probably thinking that it would be only among like-minded friends (it wasn’t), it would not get out to the real world (it did), and so he spoke with all candor, language and tone revealing a different, scrappy, manolo — (in his own words) arrogant, unthinking, unfeeling, bigoted and prejudiced. descriptives that approximate dona victorina’s and reyna elena’s GRRRR! retorts.
