I could not imagine Monique Lhuiller, who I have a lot of respect, doing this exercise. So where does that put Boyet Fajardo?! Not in the league of respected Filipino fashion designers. You’d ask, “Sino ba ang “fashion designer” na to? Is he a legitimate “fashion designer”?” I don’t know the answer. In fact, I don’t even know him. To me, this looked like a Nasser Pangandaman reincarnation.
Ricky Rivera:
Do I know him?! Is this the same Ricky Rivera I know?! Or I am just having some “creative hinala outburst”?

And what’s that got to do sa pambabastos kahit na his creations were unique of all the uniques?! I say, “Irrelevant your honor!!!”
The spokesman continued on by saying that online petitioners should consider Fajardo’s rising international status before pursuing the boycott.
No logic
I honestly cannot make the connection between the action done by Boyet and that of his spokesman’s “claim” of “international status“. Why would his “international status” be a justification for the act that Boyet Fajardo has done? Is Ricky Rivera telling us that our national survival rests on Boyet Fajardo’s “international status“, so let’s just go on with our business-as-usual over the poor cashier’s traumatic experience from Boyet? I see no logic to his reasoning!
Now What Cat , on Comment #10, has even a much, much better explanation. She said:

Plain respect
Ordinary people in the Philippines, 80% of whom are hard working and still shit poor, are expecting nothing more, nothing less than normal human treatment not only from elethieve officials but also from fellow Filipinos. kaya siya hindi kilala kasi hindi naman talaga siya fashion designer who has his own label because his name alone wold sell like inno sotto, criselda, rajo laurel etc.
He is just an RTW designer for some apparel which carries different brand using foreign souding names to sell.
everyone asks who he is because people really do not know who he is. i bet many fashion designers of haute couture who behave with finesse in public like pitoy moreno, christian espiitu who by the way have their labels attached to their creations.
he even boasted about calling a couturier who has strong connection in the government.
he is so delusional that he thinks he is already among them.

Ms. Cat, nasa label naman ng damit yong name, hehehehhehehe. Pero pang-masa ang line nya, one step higher doon sa mga RTW na Robinson ang label eh Robinson (like Parisian for SM). You know those RTW na nakahilera sa gitna ng SM or Robinson tapos minsan may isang corner sila doon sa Ladie’s section. And yes, hindi siya popular at hindi naman high-end ang market nya.

Did anybody else notice the supervisor’s (Ms. Gonzales?) lack of skills when it comes to dealing with the temper tantrum of some immature unknown designer who think too highly of himself? In that previous video that you had, Ateng, yun bang nagpa interview itong si Ms. Gonzales, giving self incriminating statements like “sabi ko, para matapos na, swipe mo na lang” or that Marvin told her na “Ma’am ayaw ko pong magpa sampal” and then if you would look closely at her left hand sa video between the times 1.40 – 1.43 yata, just before Marvin went to kneel in front of Fajardo, what did you notice? Parang she was actually pushing Marvin na luhod ka na lang davah? I don’t know, I could be wrong.
She should have stepped in and done something to stop the tantrum at the onset, at kung hindi kaya ng powers nya, tawag sha ng security guard. Hindi yung mag compel ka ng employee mo to do what Fajardo wants no matter how unreasonable, kesehodang against sa patakaran ng duty free – swipe and credit card ng walang photo ID or paluhuring mo empleyado mo para “wala na lang gulo” … Hindi sa sinisisi ko si Ms. Gonzales pero I would suggest that she just do what Marvin is doing – shut up! Kumbaga sa Miranda rights eh “anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law” davah?

Ay salamat at na notice mo rin. O davah saving my own skin ang drama ng mahaderang supervisor na yan? Dafat shatap na lang sha. Buti pa si Marvin mas nakaka intindi na kapag may kaso kang isasampa or haharapin… leave all the talking to your lawyers… gag-order-mode ang byuti mo. Eh etong si supervisor kesyo pa biktima effect pa, ayaw ko ug ilara Day….

tapos buti sana ang binibili ng mga nagduduty-free eh yong swiss or belgian chocolates. makita mo yong mga nakapila – binibili hershey’s or M&Ms. Hindi naman sa nang-iismol ako noh kaya lang ang dami nun sa SM for 12% difference in price. Eh siguro hindi naman 10T worth of chocolates ang binili nya to save significantly
well, that’s just me talking – hindi ko rin maintindihan kasi bakit ni re-raid ko ang duty free dito sa airport sa qatar to buy chocolates o bakit nga ba nagpapabox ako ng sabon at kape!

nang-ookray lang pero di naman nakita sa video kung ano ang binili. pero seriosly kahit naman sa arrival ng airport makita mo yong duty free doon ang tinda eh hershey’s kisses, toblerone, cudbury, nestle crunch – you know the usual stuff na dati sa PX mo lang nabibili pero ngayon kahit sa small store eh meron.
