Ang hitad at lumipad nang Amerika! Of all places! Ano yon? Nasarapan? Maghahanap nang ibang Danyel sa Amerika? Ba’t di na lang kaya sa Lebanon? O kaya sa Afghanistan? Ba’t Amerika? Di ko getz? Gaya nang tanong nang isang avid reader ko which pretty much sums up my thoughts:
Nabalitaan mo na ba na si Nicole na rape victim kuno eh nasa US na? Of all the places di ba, bakit sa US? Pano sya nakakuha ng visa? Tapos ang giinagawang dahilan eh hindi sya binigyan ng support ng gov’t kaya ayaw na nya lumaban. Pwede ba politico lang naman talaga ang bumili sa kaso nya. Kahit ordinary citizen eh may doubts kung na-rape talaga sya. Personally, hindi ako naniniwala na na-rape sya. Alam naman natin na karamihan sa Pinoy ay may American Dream….Leche sila….hehehhehehehehe
Abrogate VFA: Quo Vadis?
So, what are they fighting for now? Why can’t they just let Daniel go free? Wasn’t this the very crux of abrogate VFA rally? I’m not saying I am for or against. But for me – wala na ang pinalalaban ninyo. Iisa lang ang nasa utak ko right now. Punyettes!!! Grrrr! Hmpt! Aaaaa!
Wagi ang American Dream ni Nicole
Napaka-ganid nang hitad na Nicole na yan pati na yung mga tumulong sa malditang to. Guguluhin ang buhay nang Pinoy with her American Dream ambitions through sex, taz dito lang pala mapupunta. Why didn’t she pursued the regular route that OFW’s went through at ginamit pa tayong mga Filipino?! If you care, nanga-galaiti ako sa turn of events. Grr!

I never believed she was raped either. Her case later on turned into a political matter; her situation was taken advantage of by those who do not support the involvement of the US troops through the VFA.
Reynz, I went to school with the US military. Hindi sa nilalahat ko yung mga Pinay na na-encounter ko, pero most of them todo landi and bukakingz just to snag a Kano bee-eff who they can marry to go to Tate. I remember one time pa nga I was standing outside waiting for a taxi inside a US base, and there were these three Pinays talking loudly nearby. They were comparing soldier boyfriends. Sabi nung isa “Marami ka bang nakukuha sa kanya?” Sagot nung kausap niya “Hindi nga, kuripot siya eh!” Then the other one said “Ako naman mapipilitan akong asawahin si….dahil yung isang syota kong Pinoy di ako madala sa Amerika! Mas madami akong benefits pag si …. napangasawa ko!” O di ba? Hindi ka ba mahihiya na Pinoy/Pinay ka pag ganun narinig mo sa mga ibang kababayan natin?
My first year going to school with the US military was really tough, mind you. Whenever the soldiers find out I come from the Philippines, akala nila easy girl ako, like the others, thanks to those who set the wrong example.

your story jibes with my brother who was in the US Navy for many many years. One time, dun pa natulog sila sa apartment namen sa Cubao with his friends (itim at puti) and they were all talking about the girls sa gapo na talaga daw kamong hahabulin sila.
yong itim, enjoy na enjoy dahil ilan daw ang nadala nya sa motel kaya bungakngak kami nang tawa. and it was during those times na ang sama nang tingin nang mga foreign germs sa mga pinay.
can you imagine? me kapatid kang babae sa US, taz ang tingin nang mga kano eh gaya nang mga babae sa gapo? an sakit kamo nun!

if I were Nicole, i also am going to move instead of being used by some political organizations.
She has a boyfriend, a US citizen who can marry her and give her permanent residency. it is just being practical than enduring the hassles of being used by the media to serve their hidden agenda.

as much as i want to sympathize with nicole, mas marami ang negapektado sa ginawa niya ngayon. the justice system, her lawyers, yung mga nag-rally for her, yung mga nakipag-away sa US embassy, ang gabriela, at lahat lahat na umitim at nagka-sunburn para lamang suportahan siya. mahal pa naman ang glutathione.
