Bernard Maddoff and the Philippines very long list of scam and corruption investigations

by reynz on March 14, 2009

Long… very, very long.

The list is getting very, very long. Pero, wala pang kinu-kulong. Puro lang sya investigations chorva. Mga pa eklavu, sigaw dito sigaw dun, then another kurapsyon. “Days of our Stolen lives” mapapanood sa TV. Trauma na mga Pinoys. Hallucinations don’t work no more. After the show? Wait ka naman nang panibagong nakawan. Am sure, sa haba, marami akong na-miss. But, let’s review the show of allegations ever. Tandaan: “alleged”, ayan inulit ko. Leche! Hmpt!

  1. NBN/ZTE Scandal
  2. Bribe money to Congressmen and Governors (October 2007)
  3. Hello Garci 2004 Election Cheating
  4. Joc Jock Bolante P728 Fertilizer Scam
  5. Jose Pidal Bank Account (Unexplained P200 Million)
  6. Nani Perez Power Plant Deal ($2 Million)
  7. Use of road tax for campaign
  8. Overpriced Billion Peso Macapagal Boulevard (P532 Million)
  9. Juetenggate (Illegal kickbacks on numbers game)
  10. Arroyo’s money in Germany (Exposed by Sen. Cayetano)
  11. General Garcia and other military men
  12. Northrail Project ($503 Million)
  13. Swine Scam (Exposed by Atty. Harry Roque)
  14. Alabang Boys and DOJ bribery scandal
  15. P2.9 million Euro Generals
  16. Arroyo husband and the World Bank scandal
  17. Legacy Bank investment scam
  18. SEC Commissioner Jesus Martinez on house and lot and P1.4 million Ford Expedition from Legacy

If you check each of these chorva? All roads leads to chenalyn ever. Alam nyo na yon. Don’t blink your eyes, kasi ang nakawang to na mistulang CSI-Manila eh minu-minuto. Walang katapusang episode. Wait lang kayo. 2010 Elections is coming up soon. Maraming engkantong busy sa panahon na yan.

Services for Pinoys gone forever

Hope?

But there’s hope! Sana ikulong na lahat! At least, we’re waiting for these people na mai-deport na sa Pinas. I hope this extradition works.

Madoff sent to jail

In New York today? You see this old bastard? Bernard Maddoff? He was one of the reason why a lot of companies cut jobs and possibly some went into bankruptcy and a lot of us around the world were out of work and could not find jobs no more. That’s one explanation why jobs evaporated.

captphoto_1236875790228-7-0

He was the person behind this epic scam, which is the mother of all the mother scam.

captphoto_1236868158056-7-0

It’s either 150 years or 20 years for this bloody crook and this is his studio.

Madoff Scandal Jail

Here’s how it looked like.

MADOFF JAIL

In America

Yeah, corruption is all over. But at least, here in my new country, the USA? I believe in the authorities and they do a pretty good job. We see this live in our TV. And we know, that our tax monies are at work to catch these crooks.

In the Philippines

In my other country, the Flippines? Everything flips back and as I have said? Correct me if I am wrong, but the list is very, very long, at wala pa syang nakukulong.

Good for you Madoff, He took people’s money for himself and gave away people money for himself. He earned nothing; He did nothing with his life. His life was ultimately about inflicting pain, taking what He could and holding on to it like a common thief. He understood the irony of it all too, those thousands of false statements representing false life, a great, mad construction you slowly began to embrace up in your secretive 17th-floor fantasy world, the way a young boy believes he’s Superman when he puts on a cape. The difference is you never grew up, Mr. Madoff, and we’re all paying for it now. But maybe because of what you’ve done to us, the rules of regulation will be changed so it doesn’t happen to others.

Actually, parang kulang pa nga ang list mo e. Considering the past administrations na may listahan din. Unfortunately, they will remain as pending cases…

the problem in the philippines is that there are a lot of trial publicities particiapted in by the media who makes a lot of moolah, the papogi boys in the Senate and House of representatives. The cases are leaked to the media even without adequate solid evidence. So many rely on testimonial evidences by people who later on are either bought or are found to be just some who like to have a 15-second fame.

In the US as you can probably observed, investigations are under wraps until there are enough to indict. While investigations are going on, the names of the “persons of interest” are kept secret.

in the philippines, the power is limited to a few families that many of them are even blood relatives.

despite the displayed animosities in public, the people really do not know if they are protecting each other.

the victims of maddoff are mostly rich people. rich people who have taken advantage of the high return on their investments without questioning where it is coming from.
if one is promised 20 to 30 per cent return, either he thinks that the investment genius is making 50 per cent or higher than that to provide him enough to run the business and give him luxurious lifestyle.

unlike industrialists who make money from production, his investments were all passive which led to some clients to believe that he had a midas touch. he knew where to put in the money not knowing that his ponzi scheme has already spilled over to other countries.

the difference between these culture of corruption with ours is that, it is the rich who were victims while in our country, our madoff clone-pre-need czar accused of
estafa-Legacy owner victimized parents whose only dream is to give their children college education in the future.

yan ang binira ni jon stewart na merong market drama outside of the market which is really manipulating all these monies from 401 and everything. that’s the current buzz dito di ba. buti pa post ko sya.

yes, majority of his victims were rich people. siempre mga ganid den ang mga puta without even asking – saan kumukuha nang 50% return??? saan? and no one, not even CNBC asked where? or any of these financial and stock analyst.

kaya all these get rick stock analysts? to me, their done.

arghh.

Before the Silicon Valley dot.com meltdown, one of my officemate was chiding why i am not so keen about stock trading. siya halos walang ginawa sa office kung hindi magbasa ng mga stock analysis. that was the time na may mga ‘praise releases” ang mga media relations ng mga corporations regarding their clients para maboost ang interest ng mga stock investors. The public do not know about it.

Whoa!!

So bat pa ako boboto?
