I have no clue if this is authentic or if this actually happened in real life. It’s possible that this is fake, but judge for yourself. For what its worth, listen:

Me sinabi pa syang “Puro kayo uragon!” Eto. Kahit wala akong trabaho. Pwede kong sampalin ang askal na to nang 13,001.50 philippine pesos and pipti centabos. Yong pipti centabos ang isasampal ko. That is, kung papayagan ako nang Policia nang Pasig. Hehehe! Yet, whoever is this Call Center guy, dude! you did great and I have no clue where you get that much patience! Hahaha!

Nadala kasi ako nang explanation ni Nina. Check the comments section. Nung sinabi kasi nung CSR “kayo po!” in response to “gusto mo basagin ko tong monitor nyo?!“, i believe dun nag-simula ang init nung ale, set-aside mo na, na-mahilig mag-murang malutong sya. ang abnormal naman nyang babaeng yan. e pano masosolve ang problema nya e kaaangat palang ng kausap nya e minura na nya at ayaw pakinggan. i-transfer daw sya sa baklang manager, hahaha.

abnormal yan, andito ko sa office, nilakasan ko speaker nagulat sila lahat. hahaha

madaling araw po kasi tumawag yung babae tapos 2 lang naka log sa araw na yun. so 50% yung hcance na same guy din yung makausap niya :)

nagtaka din ako dun. Sana nag-closing spiel na lang siya, “bawal po nagmumura dito!” hehe. Siguro, ndi sila pwede end ng call unless pinasa na sa supervisor. O baka on nila ung speaker ng phone at pinagtripan na lang makinig sa customer. Gawain namin yan, kaya eto, disabled na mga speakers ng phone namen. hehehe

my sis-in-law works in a call center. sa complaints sya dati. minsan ayaw na raw nya pumasok kasi nga grabe ang mga tumatawag na nagcocomplain. Ang mga call center agents kasi hindi pwede magbaba ng phone unless may dead air for certain seconds kaya talagang makikinig na lang yong agents. At pansin ko nga sa gabi, minsan same agent ang sumasagot kasi konti nga siguro ang naka-duty.

actually yong mga tawag na to gives us a glimpse of how it is to work in a call center. to those of us na abno what’s going on inside thinks na easy lang sya, kung wala lang akong mga kakilala sa Call Center, i probably would think that way too, and then you hear this stuff, mahirap nga talaga sa Call Center hahaha di ko alam how they can be so patient hahah

infernez, ang yabang nya at may 13k sha sa account — ang laki-laki, di ba??? bwahahahaha!”, alam ko matagal na tong issue ngayon ko lang naisipan when checking some videos in youtube, hindi ito stagged kasi nangyari na sa akin ito after ilang minutes same person din ang nakausap ko, im not so sure what i have heard sa center namin nangyari ito, ayoko lang sabihin saan..depende kasi sa mga nagmomonitor ng mga calls yan meron kasi talaga kasi na tao doing that kind of job and you will know if you’re in a call center industry.reply me na lang at jnavy0407@gmail.com. tsaka agree ko kay CC Support. mayron kasi mga SOP ang mga center sa pag handle ng mga ibat ibang klseng kols. nakakagulat talaga ang babaeng iyon gaya nga sabi ni rizal hindi marunong tumingin sa pinanggalingan hindi makakapunta sa paroroonan… baka kasama na syang desperadong mga kano dala ng recession… “Mal-edukado Babae”…mas grabe pa sya sa kano…

Let me say this IN FACE SA GAGANG CITIBANK CALLER NA ITO:

Pinakinggan ko ng ilang beses ang audio na ito. I want to lay out my points in this clip:

Para sa gagang irate na Citibank client:

1. Kung naka-offline ang ATM machine mo at di ka maka-withdraw sa kahit saang ATM, why you did not go to a nearest Citibank branch to make an over the counter transaction at ireport ang nangyari sa iyo.

2. If you are calling Citibank US, hindi ka talaga makokonek ng call center for Citibank Pinas dahil even if they are under the same umbrella, they are still 2 separate entities – they are doing separate transactions dahil hindi saklaw ng Citibank Pinas ang account mo sa Citibank US.

Dapat before you left you motherfucking ramshackle sa US, nag-arrange ka na for your financial transactions para di ka ma-hassle.

3. Wag kang palaasa sa ATM. GAGA. Magdala ka ng cash.

4. Bakit mo bina-bash ang bansa mo at ang kapwa mo pilipino? *cuss word alert lang* Putang ina mo rin. Hindi ka na nag-isip ng tamang solusyon dyan sa problem mo. It only proves na ikaw ang BOBO at GAGA na di makaisip ng tamang solusyon sa problema mo.

5. Alam mo ba ang phone courtesy or phone etiquette? I bet bagsak ka sa subject na ito. Mal-educated ka. Gaga.

6. Korap ang Pinas ha? Mas korap po ang US na pinagmulan mo. Sila ang sisihin mo dahil sa kanila nagumpisa ang problema ngayon dahil sa GAHAMAN ang ilan dyan sa inyo. And I bet, kasama ka na dun. Kwidaw kang dumayo dito sa baryo namin. If I found out who you are, sa ngalan ng Pinas at mga Pilipinong ininsulto mo: kakalbuhin kita at ipapakain sa mga fire ants…har!

You blame the Lehman Brothers, AIG and all those corporate pigs na gahaman. Sila ang nagumpisa ng krisis na ito. Dont blame the Pinas.

On further note, despite the juvenile hypertension na naranasan ko nung narinig ko ang clip na ito, I suspect na this woman e malamang na merong bipolar disorder. Ewan ha. Kasi I kept on listening on the clip and she kept on mumbling non-sense at non-related things. Ang babaeng ito e mayroong manic bipolar disorder.

But if the woman is normal naman and she did this. Well, *cuss word alert* PUTANG INA MO RIN.

Also, kung totoo to, paano to nailabas. Di ba pag tumawag ka sa any customer service may confidentialy agreement chuva na nagsasabi na ” the call may be recorded but it’s used for training purposes only and it’s confidential chuva.. di ba?

tumaas blood pressure ko! sakit sha sa dibdib!

i admit naranasan ko na rin mga ganitong calls since i work in this industry for almost four years now. pero most of irate callers i got comes from asian. mostly americans ang callers namin pero madalas sa mga maldita at maldito ay mga asian.

this woman is stupid! isa syang tanga! lahat ng loopholes sa system ay may explanation. kung ayaw nyang maniwala sana nagpakamatay na lang sha!

kung ako yung agent, sorry pero sa tagal ng pagwa-wating nya nirelease ko na yung call!

i do not tolerate customers like this tonta!

hmmm. you could be right! 30 years daw sya sa amerika at nawala ang passport. maybe it was indeed in dollars. but i did not know na makakawithdraw ka nang US dollars dun sa Citibank ATM, dahil i’ve tried that ATM dyan sa Paseo many times at kahit na dollar account sa amerika, piso pag lumabas dun sa machine that’s why i thought it was 13k pesos. now, kung nakaka widrow nga nang USD dun, then baka nga dollars ang 13k nya hahahaha

Sana naman, moral lesson ito sa iba pang irate callers dyan. Respetuhin nyo pa rin ang mga nasa call center dahil tao din sila. At kwidaw nyo silang apihin o insultuhin ang ibang pilipino, kasi pare-parehas tayong kumakayod para sa pamilya natin. You dont have the right to bash other people, for other people will stand up to defend them and bash you in return.

i think she has. ang akala ko kasi, he has a Citibank Phil account and the only reason why gusto nyang makausap ang Citibank USA dahil nga wala daw sa Pilipinas na matinong makatulong sa kanya. that’s how i read it. hahaha ang gulo ! so i assume meron syang online banking.

let’s say $13k un taz me account sya sa US, it’s possible na yong bank nya in the US is not a member or affiliate of Cirrus, Visa, Mastercard or anyone na ka-affiliate nang Citibank, baka yun ang reason bat’ di sya maka-withdraw. besides, kung $13k yun, aba malulukring ka rin nga naman if you cannot withdraw the money.

- ma’am tawagan nyo po ang bangko nyo (kaya nga tumatawag yong girl diba?)
- ma’am tawagan nyo po yong number (referring to the 1-800 number, eh wala nga sya outside line – nsa phone ata cya na nasa mga ATM machine.)
- same to you po (in fairness may po pa rin. same to you yong PI?)
- ma’am Filipina po kayo? (obvious ba, yong accent pa lang noong unang tawag)
- you are talking to a manager (grabe, parang hindi)
- tutulungan ko po kayo (after ng ilang minutong pagmumura ng babae, huh?)

i know the agent didn’t have a chance to say something pero nakakawindang din yong mga linya nya. grabe. in fairness magalang cya. Mas bibilib sana ako sa pag handle ng call kung ibang lines ang mga narinig ko sa kanya. Kaya nagwala yong babae eh kasi sa totoo lang wala akong na-feel na customer care from the other end. Pero hindi ako kampi don sa gurl – mukha talagang nakawala sa mental. narinig mo ba yong usapan noong agents sa bandang huli? hindi ko maintindihan pero ang sabi nya – okay lang pre kesa ma-trace yong call sayo ano kaya ibig sabihin nun?

@nina, na-escalate ata ung call as supervisor, so safe ung agent kasi at least tama ginawa niya. I don’t know about their policy, pero karamihan ng account, pwede ka mag-warning sa customer na nagmumura. Since ndi makasingit ung agent sana nagbigay na siya ng warning at end na agad ung call since wala naman na patutunguhan. eh di sana ndi umabot ng ganito.

I like the other point na napresent mo. About sa “kayo po” response ng CSR. Medyo sablay na nga siya dun pero siguro, sensing na the woman is so freaking maangas na at threatening the damage the ATM, kaya nya nasabi yun.

Another thing is nabara na yung agent kaya if I am in his shoes, malamang nasabi ko na din yung “kayo po”.

In any way, the woman is below the belt na talaga. So expect na nyang minumura na siya ngayon ng mga pilipinong nainsulto nya. She is calling us dogs, well, she deserves the cuss word P.I.

Kasi sa totoo lang, nagpapaka-doctorate na rin ako sa issue na ito eh. Hahahah…Tulad ni ate nina..

Kailangan paulit-ulit na pakikinggan yung audio kasi habang paulit-ulit mong pinakikinggan e maraming detalye ang lumalabas. I heard na the woman lost her passport and may obligations about home payments etc. Pero nairita pa rin ako sa paggamit nya ng P.I. cuss word sa mga Pinoys.

Therefore, may punto si Ate Nina about her perpective on the “kayo ho” dialog. Pero siguro, the woman lost her will to solve the problem talaga – in an objective way that will not require blasting cuss words to the CSR and to the rest of the Philippines. She is still way below the belt pa rin. And I think she still deserves the cuss words from the insulted pinoys here.

Another thing that I have read from the forums and blogs is that Citibank CSRs are unprofessional kuno in handling calls daw. I dunno if this is fact or false kasi di pa ako tumatawag sa Citibank eh…hahahha…(Ayaw ko magka-credit card kasi its still utang pa rin – in plastic card form – hahaha) So I dunno kung ano ang the real score about Citibank CSRs. May mga complains daw na di daw sila marunong maghandle ng calls according sa mga comments and threads na nababasa ko.

Baka maglabas pa ako ng panibagong analysis sa audio na ito. May mga lumilitaw na bagong detalye as more bloggers peel the layers of this issue.

Pinapagalitan na ako ng nanay ko dahil paulit-ulit ko na daw pinakikinggan ito. Pero I cant set aside my curiosity eh.

In initial reaction, magagalit ka talaga sa pagmumura ng irate caller na ito. Dapat nga natiin siya mapagalitan dun kasi talagang below the belt. On the other hand, i-examine din natin ang side ng CSR dahil baka nagkulang din siya sa situation na yun.

Still, irita pa rin ako sa pagmumura nya – above else. Hay. Hirap talaga pag nakaapak sa ibang bansa at bigla na lang maliitin ang kanyang motherland.

Another lesson that I learned from Mahal na reyna at Ate Nina:

Always make to a point na alamin ang both sides ng story before react. Ilang beses na akong napaso sa ganito kasi I admit I am so damn critical minded. But anyways, this is still a learning in life. We should never stop learning, ika nga. :D

dito sa US, ke mapamanager ka o katulad ko na office technician, lahat kami sumasagot ng telephone inquiries, ngayon kailangan meron kang sixth sense to know na first word pa lang na kausap mo eh galit na at malapit ng maghuramentado, what I do kahit ga-ano ka grabe ang situation, I try to calm down the caller by identifying myself and giving them my direct line as well as asking them to give me at least ten minutes to analyze what is going on with their Policies, I’ve just had a very irate caller last Friday, and I do understand the situation that the caller wants us to Reinstate his Authority to operate, he was really yelling and was blaming me, however, I have to make it clear to him that it is the Companys system that suspended his Authority not me. I gave him my Manager’s direct line and transferred his call. After I spoke with my Manager and explained the situation I got the go ahead to rescind the suspension. During this economic crises we have to go an extra mile to help the customers, we have to bend over and be contortionists however we have to make sure that they are not cursing us on the phone, we respect them and they should respect us too. I didn’t have to listen to the link with re to this CItibank CSR, it happens to us everyday we go to work here in the US

I pity the old lady… honestly… not the csr. Coz lumabas yung pagkabaliw nya. Staged or not, I dont care. It’s not funny anyway. Ang sasakit ng mga sinabi nya sa Filipino. Natuntong lang sa amerika…

You’re the man, Jason! Lufet ng control mo dude! Kung ako yon, binalik ko lahat ng sinabi nya sa kanya – baka mas malupit pa ron mwehehehehe…

Anyway, it’s a SOP sa mga call center agents not to argue with the customers however demonic they are (“bobo”-nic as well :) .

I’m not into call center industry but I guess I could give you some points on this issue.

Sa ganito ka-irate na *5uck1n6* customer, keep your composure.

1. Emphatize – let the neurotic on the other line speak and shout to the highest level kung gusto nya… sakit yata sa lalamunan non hehehehe… just listen first, hayaan nyo sila, mapapagod din yon, but make them feel your presence by just saying “ok”, “uh-huh”, “alrite”… etc.

2. Just let them talk and once they get tired of hitting the highest notes from their diaphragm (tama ba spell ko?), get his/her name and some relevant info (kuno) even if you think you cant help them out. Tell them to hold the line for awhile (pretend that you’re xfering the call) while you’re getting the contact number of the other party to call.

3. When you get back to the “bobo”-nic caller, tell them that your phone doesnt have the functionality to xfer the call (spec. overseas), but you’re giving them the alternative numbers to call instead (make sure you have a global list of your clients/company).

4 If the customer insist, tell them that you’ve already done all the ways to help him/her and you cant help any further. Say it in a nice but authoritative way. Oo, kailangan mejo authoritative talaga.

5. If the emotion on the other line is stil uncontrollable, let it be. It’s not your fault anymore, hit the mute button and keep listening… wag papaapekto. Take it as a BIG joke of the day. You will still prevail in the end.

6. When it’s done. Inform your immediate superior immediately and tell him/her to listen to the conversation. It could save your ass in a 1st place.

7. Go out and take a short smoke break (not weed) to relax your brain muscles, then blog it when you’re free. (bad idea but good to some hehehe)

Neways… kaya proud ako sa pinoy eh. We’re so professional kahit saan dalhin. And we can step to the level of anyone in the world without any hassles. Kaya naman ang daming foreign countries and gustong-gusto ang serbisyo natin… like here in SG.

I somewhat disagree.. Been working in a call center for several years already.. Agents are allowed to give warnings sa mga abusive callers and they can actually release the call (Inbound or Outbound).. Agent provoked the member (kayo po?) instead of trying to do an extra mile and sinasagot nia si member instead of trying to pacify her. In other words, he wasn’t silent at all. Hindi ako bilib sa ginawa ng rep.. In fact, he wasn’t able to control the call. Yes, she’s cursing and swearing pero sana bago tau sumagot ng pabalang, let’s listen to the customer’s concern first and focus on the resolution. As a rep, dapat sanay na ciang masigawan o mamura pero it is being regulated by warnings. I didn’t hear any attempt from him and there was no sincere empathy at all.

For the lady, I feel so sorry to what happened to her passport, her pending obligations, the money that she can’t withdraw, her wrath towards Filipino people, etc.. However, these issues do not excuse her. She needs to talk to God… She badly needs it. :-(

May sira ulo yung tumatatwag. Dapat in-control yunh Agent pero na overwhelmed yata siya sa pagmumura nung “brendamage” na kausap niya. Dapat kinuha muna niya ang pangalan at acct # para makapag file cia ng complaint sa customer abuse Department. Sira ulo talaga yung babae at ito namang si Agent bakit kasi nagtagalog pa cia e bawal yun. Pero walang kasalanan c Agent nagkaroon lang ng lapses sa call handling niya.
