What’s the buzz?
Manuel Viloria wrote about a blogger who blogged about the Pangandamans. You know the story about the Valley Gangs & Punching Clubs hahaha! right? So, he wrote…
“when the “other side” of the story began spreading, that’s when we saw examples of… story evolution. For example, a high profile blogger earlier referred to Mayor Pangandaman and his father, Sec. Pangandaman as dysfunctional: wrote: “I want to hear the mayor’s side and why his equally dysfunctional father looked the other way..” and then changed it to “I want to hear the mayor’s side and why his father (a Peacemaker appointee) looked the other way.”
Once upon a time, in Pinoy bloggie wonderland, your lola was subjected to one bloody ugly blog hazing started by one fucked up righteous blogger. After I caught her and them? They all went private. That’s their wicked strategy. They’d slam people/bloggers and then retreat in the darkness of the internet’s pits of shit. Meanwhile, I earned a flood of Reyna haters. FURB don’t have credibility, Manny. FURB is not even “high-profile”. Feeling lang nya yun. In fact, it looked to me that FURB’s world is getting way too small.

When I go home to Manila, my female friends greet me by cheek to cheek kiss or some snap in the air kiss. That kind. For my male friends? None. They might punch me. I guess, I’m not the only one who does that. I’ve seen this kind everywhere in Manila too. So, I guess it’s fair for me to say that the so social norm on kissing has changed in the Philippines also. Why do norms change? Does some highly visible individual start the new custom? Do we adopt it from elsewhere (which can’t explain the Dutch three-cheek kiss)?

German kids Anna-Bell, Anna-Lena and Mika were taken to the police post at the main railway station in Hanover, central Germany, after being caught heading for the airport so Anna-Bell and Mika could ‘get married in Africa’. Lesson for the bloggers, the original post is cached in google, no matter how much you erase, delete, obliterate the words that are libelous, it will remain in google.
I did not join the blogs in the golf melee because I thought some are overreacting.
It is good to blog about some events which are worth publishing but the word is STAY OBJECTIVE and don’t be judgemental.
Many bloggers used the word alleged because this is the right thing to do in order to avoid any case.
It is different saying that a behavior is dysfunctional than calling the person identified as dysfunctional.
Some bloggers really do not learn.
Libel cases may not prosper but think of the hassle and the money involved. That’s actually the intention of those who brings a case to the court.

On kissing: kultura dito, kapag matagal mo di nakita ka-close mo (hindi pinoy), chances are, maghahalikan kayo, even in public. Besu besu lang naman, kanan, kaliwa, kanan. Pag sincere sa ýo, matagal yung huling cheek-to-cheek! The locals even do that lip to lip, tongue not included, o kaya pag kamag-anak, nose to nose. Yun lang, kapag me balbas, matutusok ka!
