I love reading Ramon Tulfo of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Who doesn’t? Even Diwa reads him everyday! He’s fiery! He is humorous! His writings are full of sarcasm. Blatantly in your face. Raw. Direct. No eche-bureche. Let me give you some samples:
On Second class citizens, he wrote:
Why would a father with two children in tow, a 14-year-old boy and an 18-year-old girl, get into a fight with burly men the likes of Pangandaman, his two sons and their bodyguards?
On Why blame Cory for apology, he wrote:
The critics should understand her condition: She is very sick and probably wants to make amends to people she has offended before she goes. Besides, she’s very innocent. Remember her popular tag, TLA for “talagang walang alam” (really innocent)?
Incidentally, one of Malen’s entry sounded very Tulfo on positive thinking. Expectedly also, Tulfo’s entry was yet another one of those must read, although we’ve heard about this, we’ve talked about this, but when he writes it, masarap syang basahin. Why? Swak sa katotohanan and I want you guys to read it.
On Watch what you say about yourself, he wrote:
Words are very powerful. If you say something over and over, they become true after a while. If you keep telling your brother or neighbor who tries to borrow money from you that you’re broke to keep them off your back, you will soon go broke even if at the moment money is coming out of your ears. You’re inviting poverty because of your words, “I’m broke.” Eventually, you become penniless. Why can’t Filipinos say, “Mayaman tayo (We’re rich)” or “Malapit na tayong yumaman (It’s just a matter of time before we get rich)”?
Hmm… subukan ko nga. Positive thinking. BABAE AKO.
On Mike Arroyo should give lie to ugly rumor , he wrote:
What’s this rumor that one of the “Alabang Boys,” Joseph Ramirez Tecson, 23, is a relative of the husband of a Malacañang official?
Leche! Really?!
The most ugly rumor about the First Family in the year just past was about the emergency landing of a US-bound PAL plane at an airport in Japan to off-load Mike Arroyo who was supposedly very sick. The rumor had it that Mr. Arroyo was just feigning sickness, but was forewarned that he was going to be arrested in the US for money laundering.
No shit?!
If the rumor about Tecson’s relationship to a Malacañang VIP and the calls to the PDEA are true, this administration has completely gone to the pits. The NBN-ZTE scandal, the P728-million fertilizer scam, the distribution of bribe money to congressmen and governors in Malacañang. And now, the drug scandal. No other administration can beat President Gloria’s in notoriety. And what’s worse is that this administration seems not to be affected by all the brickbats.

ako i never say na wala akong pera. kse narinig ko na yang “the power of words” na yan ni tulfo. i love the tulfo brothers too. parang fearless kse. sabi ng kuya ko they studied abroad daw and that their dad was (is, i’m not sure if he’s still alive or what) a general. kaya fearless sila. enjoy din ako manood ng bitag (it’s a show of another tulfo, di ko lang maalala kung sino), eto yung show na tipong expose. mga maling gawain ng iba’t-ibang tao.
i’m also sad about the arroyo issues. naco, marcos loyalist ako. nawalan ng work ang tatay ko when cory sat as president. besides, everything went downhill after her term. hahaha.
(remember mo yung comment ko about cory apologizing? same sentiment kami ni tulfo. hahaha)

matapang si Tulfo, sobrang tapang… pero mayroon na bang natapos sa mga expose niya?
karamihan naman kasi sa mga expose ng mga iyan (Imbestigador, MGB, hoy gising, tulfo, et al) puro umpisa lang e.
I have yet to see an expose that will take its full course til the end, and the big fish will be behind bars
kaso wala!

actually that’s a very good point Roy! it’s not really about exposing them, it’s about – huhulihin ba sila nang authorities?
let me make a perfect example.
Alabang Boys.
know what happened? pina-alpas because of technicalities. ganun. why would they do it? because maraming loopholes and batas naten. why is it that authorities would not fix them? your guess is as good as mine. ~wink~
