Next drama please!

Que pasa Filipinas? De nada! Next drama please!

DAR Chief, Nasser Pangandaman Sr in a statement said that his son, Mayor Nasser Pangandaman Jr was attacked first. Interesting how this will play out when the mayor was the one who’s got bullyguards, guns and goons. Meanwhile, Antipolo Police are readyng their charges as well. And so we shall all tune in to this big thug drama which I believe nothing will happen. “Si senor y senora!” Not much have changed in my turd world kawntri. Forget about telling the Thais that we’re one politically mature nation. Ah-ah! None of that shit! In French, “pas des chance!” No chance of change at all. Corruption in your face and public governance by thugs. We have truly gone bananas! Clear the area! Warlords at play. In two weeks, there will be new drama, it will all be the same, otro again, de mi patria adorada. Im fack, justice for sale, Php50 million. Besides, this is now a country with no standards, everything is a joke.

Where have all the leaders gone?

I can’t answer you Mr. Lee Iacocca! But just like what you said in your book on page 3…

*”Am I the only guy in this country who’s fed up with what’s happening? We should be screaming bloody murder. We’ve got gangs of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we’ve got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can’t even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods t he i r heads when politicia n s say, “Stay the course.”.

Thugs should be fired

Here are a few of the blog articles that are nice to read.

Tonyo Cruz writes:

The ethical way out of this predicament for the elder Pangandaman is for him to resign. He is a disgrace to the entire government. No wonder farmers are so angry at his department: He not only does not care about genuine land reform; he also does not care for other people, period. He could’ve shown and taught his son a good example by stopping the beating on the golf course — but he just watched as his son and their cabal mauled the hapless father and son who only wanted to follow the rules.

MLQ3 writes:

Gentility is supposed to permeate places like country clubs and golf courses. They are the places where the hoi polloi are kept out and where everyone else can see and be seen. When someone like Bambee dela Paz and her family collide with official thugs, the collision isn’t just physical, it’s cultural. The set of rules that keeps the plebs in their place is never supposed to intrude into places where gentility matters.

Ding Gagelonia writes:

It’s another story but if people care to look more closely at how CARP has been run, they will find that the billions spent have mainly gone to buying up land and distributing them but without adequate resources allocated for support services for farmer beneficiaries who are left to ‘manage’ disaggregated land holdings without proper training and at the mercy of usurious financiers. The farmer beneficiaries mostly end up mortgaging their land and becoming lowly paid laborers all over again with the rest of CARP funds each year going to the huge and inefficient DAR bureaucracy.

Carlos Conde writes:

A Cabinet secretary and peace negotiator condoning the violence his son and friends were inflicting on an old man and a 14-year-old boy? By doing nothing to stop the beating, Pangandaman Sr. betrayed his skewed ethical and moral sense. President Arroyo should fire him.

In Muslim Mindanao, politics is much more deadly. In non-Moro areas, politicians have to contend mainly with their political foes. In Moro areas, politicians have to deal not just with their political opponents but with other tribes or clans with whom they are engaged in a rido, a Moro phenomenon where one clan fights another every chance they get. Rido sometimes lasts for generations and have immensely complicated the search for peace in Mindanao.

This is why, perhaps more than the non-Moro politicians, Moro politicians tend to surround themselves with armed goons and are instinctively paranoid toward other people. Coupled with the fact that holding a public office can screw up your sense of yourself – you tend to internalize the idea that you are a very important person, one who is untouchable and feared — these politicians tend to become arrogant and offensive. Power and guns usually have that effect on a person.

all politicians are the same… I hope that this wishful thinking is not true.

this type of incidents when a politician in concern should not be brushed off easily.

By his mere actions, his authority is now in question, balancing on a wire & walking on thin ice.

Makes you think if justice still prevails in our country as it’s definition is already changing to a different level…

hey louie,

ang hirap kasi, wala naman talagang political maturity ang mga botante. depende pa rin who gives the most at kung ano ang makukuha nila. so parating thieveries forever at wala ring ginagawa ang mga impakto sa gobyerno kahit na in your face ang kurapsyon at bugbugan, pero we all should just continue to try to get rid of all these bulldogs! thank you for visiting!

Incidents like these oftentimes gives you that nagging urge to do something about it, AKP just came out with a petition calling for Nasser Jr. & Sr. Pangandaman to resign in the interest of fair play….. in the meantime since this administratong has always been a disapointment there are days that you just want to literally kick these GOOFBalls of a politician’s ASS out of office…….

agree with you!

Talk about human rights violations in the Philippines where the culture of violence is perpetrated by public official enjoying impunity and knows that they cannot be accountable for their actions because they must be blessed by people in power.

This golf brawl issue is plain and simple. The De La Paz were powerless citizens versus some heavily a city and a national public official complete with armed bodyguards in a brazen show of abuse of power and authority. Both the Mayor Nasser Pangandaman Jr and the DAR Chief Nasser Pangandaman Sr must resign or be fired. They are a total shame to public governance and to all the citizens of the Philippines
