Ako naiintindihan ko. Let me start quoting a question of Analyn jusay of manila bulletin when I got interviewed in 2004.
Q. What blogging trends do you see in the future? Do you think blogging is here to stay?
A. I can see the trend now. Some businesses are now using blogs as promotion vehicles for their shows, products and activities. I am not talking about websites. Some blogs are made to appear as personal blogs when they are not.
So, I am one of the first generation of bloggers. We started with the first EB with yuga, sassy lawyer, doc emer and other friends/bloggers. It was pure friendship. Unlike these days when EBs become promotion events both for products and the events organizers…the latter promoting their website, seminars, books and other how-tos manual to neophyte bloggers.
Is there a problem. Nahh. kaniya-kaniyang sindikato yan. What i abhor is the attitude of these second generation bloggers (apo ka lang reyna at iba dito apo sa tuhod o kalingkingan) acting like gods that their love links aka social climbing for reyna (linking you to their “A-list” blog is a manna from heaven. Pasalamat kayo at kayo ay nalink dahil sa isip nila sino kayong ililink ay bago lang kayo.
Ang ngiti nila saiyo ay hidi genuine but a smile for a potential client. customers/followers/readers to their blogs.
My friends and bloggers and I just watched these ebs discussed in the blogs of new bloggers. some were awe-struck that they wrote as if they won a lotto just meeting these bloggers-personalities. so do you see them mentioned the new bloggers url. Nah. Just their members/friends. One old blogger commented that their link is like the Holy Grail, in fact they put value in their links. promise.

Remember Madame Ca T the time that I spewed fire over this bitch blogger at Ambo’s blog a few months ago? I had a very keen sense of her personality and attitude at that time that when I wrote my response to her I was so certain that that was really she and not just something that I just misconstrued about her. Now with all this issues surfacing, I think my hunches, theories, gut feelings and psychological profile of this people are right after all. LOL Our seminary psychologists were right: I have an ESP for possessed spirits LOL
About the generation of bloggers mam cat,

please do enlighten us on this. Matagal ko na mam ca t gusto iresearch yan eh. The mere fact that internet is a public mediuym back then therefore no one can ever claim that they are the first achuchuchu. I got a research about the Filipino bloggers when we were just a few hundreds and i bloghopped. I saw that “blog” and i could not believe that the writer was capable of writing those journals. hindi pambata.

You, me, bluepanjeet, malen, kotsengkuba and more have been talking about this issue all along here and those comments are buried in the so many comments na pinag-usapan naten. Korek?
I was talking to another shiny blogger in Manila and our discussions revolved around how the Philippine Blogosphere evolved. I commented that “We have arrived!” Natawa sya and asked me to explain. “We have arrived!” kasi, the Philippine Blogosphere is now as filthy as the lecheng pulitika nang mga demonyo kurakot in our turd world kawntri.
set-aside na muna naten tong madamot na blogger for links especially sa mga tumulong sa kanya noh? lecheng punyetang ugali yan oo! grrr! bastos! hahaha!
take for instance – etong mga bloggers na to mas gahaman pa sa legitimate media at talagang talamak sa strategies nila and it now boils down to control and power – dyan pumapasok tong mga chenalyn group ever na to alas! We’ve run across with this one sa gobyerno! Haller!
So now, ang definition nang ETHICS is that: pag maliit ang na-raket mo with your competititor – UNETHICAL SYA. That’s what these people are doing to this guy. Yet, they all dance the same steps of cha-cha.

Walang problema sa akin kung bayaran ka ba, kung ikaw ba ay kalantari ng mga kumpanya, kung ikaw ba ay sponsor whore… wala problema sa akin. honestly wala kasi para sa akin its their own volition eh. Problema na nila yun kung binubugaw nila credibility nila.

di ko maintindihan yang mga yan. mukha namang mga intelehente pero halatang mga dumedede pa ng promil.
naka attend lang ata ng isang rally sa edsa, feeling mo, monopolized na agad nila ang pagiging makabayan at feeling mo mga “enlightened” ones na.

i was a journalist once. and one thing is certain. there is no such thing as a balanced journalism, there is no such thing as ethics of journalism. i have been arguing about it with my colleagues ever since i started writing.
we are all people. we are all subjective. people have their own biases when it comes to certain things. however we try to hide it, it might not show on our articles, but deep inside the writer’s minds and hearts, may biases.
the thing to fix a problem is to accept the realities of life.
i am not saying we should do away the ethics of things. its a good thing to have ethical guidelines. but when we are dictated by these guidelines with utter disregard to the real world, helllooooo? we don’t live in a perfect world.
i say to these uhuging mga feeling aktibista at hihi-polluting high and mighty writers kuno….
HELL IS FULL OF HYPOCRITES. GET REAL!
