Euro Traveller and the Euro Generals

by reyna20 on November 16, 2008

So sabi nga sa investigation, Arejola gave the retired police official 45,000 euros (about $57,000 or P2.9 million) to buy a pricey watch for him (Arejola) in Vienna, where a dealer was waiting for the payment. Charing!!! Really?!

Dahil nga I have special relations/connections (nephews) sa PMA, I get nervous whenever former PMA’ers hit the headlines in the country for reasons which are not good. Dyuskoo! Pero unsa man ni! Kulba nako lagi uy!!! I’d be uber-embarassed pati kaluluwa ko itatago ko and I hope none of these happens to them. I mean, com’on now, really! Kelan??? Hindi ko talaga matanggap yan ever. Kaya, even though my fellow bloggers were blogging the big joke of all times, nakatutuk naman ako sa Euro investigations and for once, I commend some excellent questioning by Loren Legarda, irrelevant kung me mangyari sa mga Senate investigations na to mga kunichiwa. You don?t need to throw some mind boggling questions, some high-flying ones. Simple lang. Pero swak. Like this one:

?I?m asking you to clarify that. It?s totally unbelievable that you would not know that there is a requirement for you to declare that you have $10,000 or more in your possession upon exit from this country and upon entry into a foreign country.?

As I sat on my computer, reading about the uber fancy Euro-Generals with their wives na merong cash in their pocketbooks no less than $20,000, I can?t help but remember all the places that I have traveled. Sandali, eto pagmamayabang ko ever. Excluding all my hada travels within Continental United States, humada na ako in places like Bogota, Colombia; Caracas, Venezuela; Montreal and Toronto, Canada; Tokyo, Japan; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Brussels, Belgium; Paris, France; London, UK; Budapest, Hungary; Prague and Pilzn, Czech Republic and of course, Sta. Lucia, Pasig. Now, I have friends like Chuva who have traveled to more places than me, like the moon.

But in all of my travels, not that I have $57,000 on hand, save your common sense, but your travel agency should tell you what the restrictions are if you are not familiar with the BSP circulars or Feds in the US. If they forget, there is a form to fill out at the immigration even before you leave. Pag nakalimutan mo pa, they give out forms during the flight handed to you by flight attendants. At kung talagang no-read-no-write ka pa, your friends who knows that you’ll be flying will give you unsolicited advice na di mo pedeng bitbitin ang mga battery operated sex toys mo noh?

Now, kaming mga Overseas Pinoys are wishing to have that much cash. Sino ba? And we OFW’s are familiar with this form. Pwede kaming mag conduct nang seminar across the country. We actually would like to check the stupid box that we have more that $100 US dollars na bitbit in our darn wallet at balikbayan box! Leche! Di ba? Sa totoo lang!

Ang sinasama nang loob ko, I don’t even have a watch! Did you noticed my pictures last October 2008?! Wala! At wala rin akong $57,000 Grrr! Pag Pinoy ka talaga, life’s not fair! Hmpt!

Nakaka-aliw ka talaga, Your Highness.

That’s what we get for letting them get away with murder of Philippine democratic insitutions.

Last Thursday, it was Bolante na nag-charing (borrowing your colorful chuva-chuva) sa atin. All by himself daw yung operation P728 million “abono sa boto ni Gloria Arroyo”.

Ganoon siya ka genius.

for more than 20 years now, I havent worn a watch, kasi ang cellphone merong oras, ang computer merong orasan, bawat poste sa opis merong wall clock, ang MUNI bus meron ding orasan pati ang waiting shed, hindi na “cool” ang me suot na relo, ang jewelry ngayon for men is kung meron silang man purse at ang brand ng kanilang shoes, or kung me diamond ba ang necktie nila matching cufflinks. kaya please lang tantanan ninyo na kami sa mga palusot ninyo dahil kaming mga OFW, nagbabasa ng Vogue, Mademoiselle. im pretty sure pambili yan ng baril tapos merong silang privae Army hi hi hi

Reynz, I admire your concern for our beloved Pilipinas.
