Is there still money in blogging?
Two years ago, the blogworld was inundated with all these ?haw diz, haw dat and dat too? in making money online. Yeap! I?m one of those a-du-du-du! Today, para akong pariwarang adik! like a hawk in the sky, pok-pok ready to dive, in a split second me damit man o wala, (wala na lang para freedom and liberty at masaya!), with even the sight of a fish tail worth $5 for 3000 words. Leche! Poverty daysss!!!
Adsense, text-links, sponsored posts! Oh dear! Kiver! I?m not supposed to be writing those bad words! Now, my blog shall forever be banished in the trashbins under the column worth $0.05 cents per 100 links for one year, said one nigerian email I received. Shit! These guys are cheap!
Expectedly, it?s been an experience of consistent law of diminishing returns. Returned posts, I mean. Cancelled ads and links. Disappearing offers. Money making online gone offline. I wonder what’s happening sa pro-blogging world?!
I know why McCain/Palin lost. But what happened?! Is there still money in blogging? Join us together one another forever sa online unemployment line?
Kontera, Miva, Bidvertiser, they?re all the same. Sometimes even your earnings disappear. Tigok forever. ?Please read the terms of agreement? is the answer to your “Puta kayo! Ba’t nyo ninakaw pera ko?!“. Ok. I?ve had Kontera for 3 years that hauled me a whopping $16. PPP? The length of the sentence is indirectly proportional to the revenue attached. (Ayuf! Nakaimbento tuloy ako nang PhD theory!)
How?s Miva? Ewan. Mivanished? I don’t know if Sponsored reviews still have sponsors. Buyblogreviews? Out there. Still buying. PayU2blog? Ugotpaid? How much?! Smorty? Mortified. Bidvertiser? They told me that my blog was not real. Ow?! Ang mga tarantadong to! I didn?t know I?ve been blogging as a ghost. Adsense? Chugi long ago, said I clicked it myself todo-todo. Mga gagu! Hmpt!
Sex doesn’t sell on the internet. Maniwala kayo. Trust me on this. I should know. No one’s bought me yet. Ni wala ngang nag-propose eh! Ok. Ang totoo nito, me nagalet hehe, kala nya type ko sya. Wat gives?! What do I do now?! I need money! Pambili nang coffee. Ok. Pero eto. Trulala. If you have the passion to write, that?s priceless. No passion? You’d be clueless. You can leave home with or without passion. Without a clue? Stay at home. Cover your face, coz you ain’t cute.
Now, how to be popular, spread world peace, make money out of that passion, and maximize blogging to tell the world you’re cute and smell good, that?s the bloggers holy grail. To get attacked by a whore blogger, that’s holy shit!

May website ako dati. Forums ng school na pinagradweytan ko ng highscool. A whopping $25 ang adsense for two years. Tapos tumigil nako. Wala na akong pambayad sa site e. That was back in 2003.
Ngayon, balik ako sa paboblog (tumigil ako ng matagal na panahon dahil nagkadalecheleche buhay ko). Tiningnan ko uli adsense ko. Aba, tumataginting na $25! Hindi nabawasan at hindi rin nadagdagan kasi hindi ko naman na ginagamit.
Pero lipat uli ako sa Blogger. Gamit uli yung adsense account ko. Feeling ko talaga yayaman ako.
Then, I read this blogpost. And everything came down in shambles.
Thanks a lot, Reyna Elena! I would forever remember you as the woman who ruined my fantasies.

Kinakabahan nga ako e. Gusto ko sumikat blog ko pero pag nangyari yun, mapapansin ako ni Google at baka iban yung blog ko. Hahaha… O kaya, baka mademanda ako.

Juice ko day, wa na money sa blogging!!! Barat as in ang mga opps na available tapos super dami pa nang links na kailangang i-add. Kaya ayon ignore to the max ko ang mga offers nang Blogvertise.
I seldom write ads nalang at present at ang tinatanggap ko ay not lower than $30 for 200 words. Sinuswerte din naman ako sa LinkWorth paminsan-minsan at sa ReviewMe din pala. Since I started paid blogging last December…parang Suffle na nahanginan ang PR 6 ko. Bumagsak ito sa may kalagitnaan.

i think what Roel is doing should be taken seriously by some next generation bloggers and yong ginagawa nya really is a good strategy. he has a consulting biz and he is using his blog to drive traffic dun sa biz nya which is a really good parallel promotion strategy.

law of supply and demand siguro ang nangyari. obviously, sa dami na nang bloggers demanding more opps, siempre, bumaba ang price, but then again that’s not absolute kasi ang blog ko tagalog, swardspeak at ayaw nila nun kaya ambaba nang PR ko, so the more baba the PR the more cheap ang bayad. kaya me pag-asa ka pa kengkay! write if full german mode! hahaha!

Hehe, you really hit it in the head Kamahalan. Making Money with Blogging – is like the IT bubble in the late 90′s to the early 2000′s. While it’s true that just like any business – there’s a season to celebrate in making money with blogging, and seasons to keep yourself barely afloat and try to hang on until the next productive season comes.
While anyone can earn money with blogging – little or less (
), the opportunity is actually big when you have some other businesses (whether online or offline) – and use your blogging to drive a little traffic and “awareness” of your business. While I believe the returns are not immediate – but part of making money with your business is to create awareness of the services/products that you sell – esp in my case, my business niche is something new (SaaS) although I do the traditional Oracle/SAP stuff…
