Sobra sobrang too much yata ang nasinghot kong tambutso na high ako. Kaya sumama ang pakiramdam nang lola. Leche! Cancelled ang Vigan tour! Grr! So I slept the whole day. Pag gizing ko, it was 10:00pm. Wa kanin, wa ulam, wa kape. Nothing. Kahit gasul wala. Gora me sa Eastwood. Mahirap maging popular bomba star. Hinabol ako nang isang rabid fan. Takbo ako sa parking. Nahuli nya ako. Eto:
Si Sherliez dot com! Hahaha! Me meeting ang loka! Nagmamadali else baka palayasin sya hehehe!
But I have one serious story here mga kunichiwa that happened yesterday bago ako namik-ap nang mga babae sa Eastwood.
Kahapon, I parked my car dyan sa dos. I was on the phone talking to my madam who hired my driving services, walking from the car park numbero dos to a little over to my right side kung san kami nagmodel ni Sherliez.
Me nakatayong lalaki. Dressed casually. And not the kind that I expected from him.
I swear in all my heart – he was my former boss. Alam ko. Tibok at kabag nang puso ko, sya yon. Boss ko sya sa isang Magarang Factory sa Makati. Let’s give him a name. Piolo Paskal.
“Piolo” nagsi-sigaw ako! at excited pa kamo hahaha! Makapagmamayabang akoooo!!! I did noticed that he was already looking at me while I was walking towards him. I could see na parang something’s wrong sa reaction nya or sum’tin sum’tin. Kiver! Kelangang magmayabang ako! Hehehe!
Hinarap ko. “Piolo Paskal“?
Nag-wiggle ang muka nya to indicate negative proton reaction.
Shocked ako. Yeap, hindi hiya. (Walanghiya talaga lola nyo! Hehehe)
I walked a few steps sa likod nya, tumalikod ako, I continued talking to Malen while my mind was swirling and so many algorithmic computations were happening. I recalled some events na nangyari nung panahon nang hapon.
Entry level pa lang ako nun. Piyon. I was reporting to one really nice and cool Pogi Manager. They all adore me. Yung buong group na yun. Kyut kyut ko talaga kasi nun. I remember, alagang alaga ang lola nyo. Piolo Paskal was our pinaka-boss. He was very strict pero mahal ako nyan. Aside from my cool Pogi Manager and the best group na nakatrabaho ko, I credit Piolo Paskal for sending me all over the Philippines. To his credit, na-meet ko yong super-uber best friend ko in one city in the south.
Piolo was very successful. He was my role model then. Married with kids. There was only one thing that seemed quirky. His actuations and the way he talks, para syang bading. But sabi naman nung iba, that’s just the way he was. So, we never really talk about his sexuality because we all know, deretso sya. While working for this Magarang Factory, I even met his wife.
I worked very hard because I wanted to be like him.
In our out-of-town travels, he would occasionally be with us, stay there for a few days, then leave us at balik na sya sa Makati.
One time in Swanky City, we had one big great project and he had to stay for several days. We were staying in another hotel. Sya, sa isang glitzy hotel. Me request daw. Isa isa sameng lalaki will be with him at mag-stay overnight sa hotel with him. Relyibo ba.
At that time nakasabit ako sa aparador. Very closeted. Binibiro nang group na me kursunada lang sya sa isang kasama namen. So, I knew it was not me. But that did not offer comfort. Takot ako for reasons I can’t explain. In fact, that night when it was my turn, I was sooooooooo damn shit uncomfortable to be in bed with him. I didn’t even know how to start a conversation. Dun ako natulog. Lahat ata nang nobena ginawa ko na. I can’t explain the repulsiveness of whatever it was na kinakatakutan ko. Basta takot ako. But I didn’t have a choice. Hindi ko nakalimutan ang incident na to. Naka-save to sa database nang un-answered questions in my life.
There was another incident that happened in Swanky City. This time, nagalet ako at napahiya ako nang todo. It was my birthday. Niregaluhan ako. Isang prosti. Yun pala, makikipag-sex ako sa gurl and they will all watch. Di natuloy. Galit ako pero yung dapat magalet hindi talaga nagalet. My Pogi Manager did the act. I sat there kinda watching although wala naman akong nakita dahil sobra ang hiya at galet ko. I will then be subjected to a lot of jokes nang mga officemates ko. How did I survive the jokes? Sinabi ko na lang na shy si Pidro at di talaga ako the toro type.
It was this incident ba’t ako nag-quit sa Magarang Factory. And I decided to cut-off my connections with everybody.
Later in life. Napadpad na nga ako sa Amerika. My former officemates? Wa na me news with them. Then, I started an online family website. I started meeting my former officemates sa Magarang Factory in Makati. Nung minsang uwi ko in Manila, nag-inuman kami ni Poging Officemate # 1 and we made chika-chika and he made kwento about Piolo. I did not believe the story. Wala lang, patay malisya.
In Philadelphia, I would get an international call from Poging Officemate # 2 who would tell me and basically say the same story. This time, I started to connect things. He said, bumigay na daw si Piolo. Huh?! Things went downhill from there. Nagkaron daw nang nasty divorce. Worse, he lost the kids to his wife. I asked him where he is now. Nasa Manila daw. Mukhang kawawa na.
Nalungkot ako sa story. Sana hindi totoo ang narinig ko. In the back of my mind, I really wished malagpasan nya tong kalechehan na to.
I will not question him no more about the overnight stay in that hotel in Swanky City. At hindi na rin ako galit with that prosti gift. I think I know the answers now. We all experience shit in life. Piolo will forever remain one great boss who made contributions to my career and I have to credit him for that.
I won’t judge him kung sino pa man sya. Whatever he was and is now, whatever it was that he did and why he did what he did to me. Despite life’s imperfections, I wish him luck and the best life ahead.

kaibigan siya ng boss ko na isang couturier.
He was a dentist in profession and had a family…two teen-agers.
kagaya mo nakasabit din siya noon sa aparador..kuntodo may susi pa.
Pero bumukas din ang aparador, nahulog siya at sa edad na 45 nagladlad siya at sumali siya sa mga fashion designers na nagtayo ng sarili niyang shop.
Dumating ang asawa niya sa shop at nag-away sila…sampalan, sabunutan at tilian. Mas malakas ang tili ni dentist.
yong mga anak, nakatingin at umiiyak. while ang iba tumatawa, ako hindi.

Reminded me of my cousin who is also my bestfriend. Awa at inis ako kasi ayaw magladlad kahit very obvious na. Its his choice pero I can see how he is suffering and sort of punishing himself. Just to please his parents, hayun macho daw but to us and his sisters, mas girl pa sya.
