What does it mean to be “presidential” or in Manila, “presidentiable”?

Remember this Saturday Night Live comedy kit?

Well, let me take you to memory lane (Gosh! I adore you Youtube!) to one Vice Presidential debate that we had so much fun listening many years ago. Watch.

Ok, you’ll probably ask Reynz… “What are you trying to point out Reynz?”. Let me explain.

We all know that Gov. Sarah Palin did a great job of not being a disaster in the Vice-Presidential debate, irrelevant as to whether she won the debate or not. I adore the Clinton’s, Bill especially. But, Hillary supporters now seems to have decided that a woman in the White House might not be such a great idea after all.

I mean, of course this is the election. People can say whatever shit they want to say. It’s true that the Governor is not the typical Vice Presidential candidate and doesn’t have the polish of most national politicians is obviously considered in the electorate as a “bad thing”. But hey! You gotta give credits to her fighting spirit! Besides, she’s a woman!

But what does it really mean to be “presidential?” Is Reyna Elena “presidential” or pokers? My first love, Bill Clinton was so horny, I don’t think “presidential” fit him at that time. What about George Bush? “Either you’re with us or you’re a monkey” or sum’tin sum’tin. Was it “presidential”? What about Dick Cheney who’s been having war all over the world? Is he “presidential”?

I know, I know. People in America should look at the election campaign in the Philippines. There, we don’t talk about issues. We talk very, very emotional about the candidates “personalities”. Hahahaha! Hey! And if you say nasty shit about the candidate? They shoot you. Then you’re in peace. Hahaha!

In the meantime, I leave the Palin supporters and the Hillary supporters enjoy their catfights. Moi? I know who to vote for.

One more video. This is the reason why Bill Clinton, up to today, is my first love.
