I have an antique La Germania laptop. It’s an old Vaio circa 2001, was my business school laptop computer. Yeap, and he’s getting pretty hard headed lately. I have to punch letter “Hh” for it to appear and would freeze if I open some Victorino’s secret. On many occasions, it would just reboot itself. Dang! Talk about automatic these days! Not only that, it would open IE 200 times! He’s like practicing opening something for an Olympics that’s been over it’s now tainted with chemicals! Enough with my laptop atrocities! I went to Best Buy in the Northeast (Philadelphia) this afternoon to buy a new laptop.

My choice? Sony - VAIO Laptop with Intel? Centrino? 2 Processor Technology - Titanium Gray Model: VGN-FW140E/H | SKU: 8892996 Intel? Core?2 Duo, 3GB, 16.4″, 250GB $899 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8892996&type=product&id=1211587729137

When I shop, ini-iwan ko ang korona ko sa bahay. I hate it when you still have to pay the salesman to even shit laugh or at least smile at you. Napakakuripot! He would not even smile at me! But then again, nakalimutan kong magsabog nang dinikdik na gumamela cologne. I gave the printed copy of the SKU Model chorvalais, he picked up the laptop, dragged me to the waiting line na nagmistulang emergency line for pregnant lizards and while there, I asked him if all that they have are Windows Vista because I did not like it. “Nope. Evvvrrrrriittiiinnn’ in here are Windows Vista“. Gusto kong sampalin.

Excuse me miss, could I test the laptop just to make sure that it works?”, i told the saleslady.

No sir. Once you open the box, you break the security seal, you pay 15% re-stocking fee.”, the saleslady said.

Say, what?!!!! I did not know that you guys now work for Homeland Security!”, I protested!

~*&@# attitude smirk by the saleslady #@&*~, just standing there.

Fine, ring me up.” Irita ang lola.

What kind of protection you want?“, she asked.

What protection?!” I felt like, ano to? condom? or talagang napunta lang ako Afghanistan?

It’s like an insurance just in case you drop the laptop or something.”

“Gurl! Recite my name, everybody cringe. That’s protection. So, I don’t need it.. Irap ang gurl.

“Well… GOOOODDD LUCCCK!”,tinakot pa ako nang gaga!

Sa isip-isip ko, I swear, I probably need a lot of those dahil balak kong ibato sa tikbalang na to ang laptop. So she rang me up. Basic. Cheappanga ang lola. Besides, financial crisis chorva. Kelangan mag-tipid. Sa lahat nang VAIO, eto yung de-pedal to power on. Walang virus chenalyn. Walang etchebureche. I just made sure na ang characters nya are not in Chinese.

Your total comes to $1,264.87 Debit or credit?“, sabi nung supladitang gurl.

“WHAT?!! I’m not buying the whole store and you?!!!“, nakapamewang na ang gurl.

Walang WORLD PEACE. I-debit nila ang sarili nila! Grr!

  4. hahahaha

I was on the right lane, pero yung iba na sumangat bale gumawa ng extra lane, so parang ang naging linya eh dalawa.

  10. hindi ako ganoon ka hi-tech like you and Ca T, I was reading your entry about Best Buy, I’ve suffered the same rudeness sa Circuit City together with all the other customers returning items that were not functioning. Customer Service is no longer a motto of these big companies, they just treat everybody as crap. they promised to call me when the laptop has been delivered, after more than a week, no call fr CC to inform me that the item has been delivered, so I decided to get my money back, the Manager tried to talk me out of returning and promised that the laptop will be ready in an hour, I’ve insisted that they have promised to call me when it arrives so I can see it still in its original package, finally after an hour of arguing with them they had no choice to give me back my money, and I promised not to return to their store. I told them I dont believe that the laptop will be ready in an hour, they were just trying to keep this sale without considering the feelings of the unsatisfied customers
