John McCain’s camp made some scene-stealing, headline grabbing stunt during the last Democratic National Convention by putting Gov. Sarah Palin as their Vice-Presidential pick. The choice created a buzz. Some buzz. More buzz. And it’s really been buzzing ever since! The buzz has now gone on some bizarre twist!

Palin has a 17-year-old daughter Bristol who is five months pregnant. Palin’s husband, Todd, then age 22, was arrested in 1986 in Alaska for driving under the influence of alcohol. There are reports that Palin ordered the dismissal of Alaska’s public safety commissioner because he would not fire her former brother-in-law as a state trooper.

Just today, the latest on Sarah Palin’s husband was that he was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, a fierce states’ rights group that wants to turn all federal lands in Alaska back to the state. The Republican’s of course are charging that the Democrats are out in a very nasty smear campaign. I guess the message is that the American public should just close their eyes and accept John McCain’s choice. Hmmm…. not gonna work with the American public! Trust me!
