Put Mayon Volcano at the top of the New7Wonders of Nature!

Although a pint of me is bisaya, I am one Uragon by heart, body and soul. I was born and raised in Bicol and went to school at the foot of this magnificent wonder of nature, the Mayon Volcano. I still remember the eathquakes and Mayon eruptions. I remember nung kapanahunan nang lola nyo in Aquinas, if you think the city gets empty at the sight of Mayon’s minor eruptions, you’re wrong. In the men’s dormitory at Aquinas where I was staying, that dormitory turns into an instant hotel because that’s when tourists swoops down the city to catch the beauty of Mayon eruptions. Crazy, isn’t it? But, such is the magnet of world’s most perfect coned volcano, Mayon, quite interestingly, sometimes the beauty is in it’s fury!

If we could put Mayon Volcano on top of the list, the more my little Legazpi City will have the world exposure it needs and hopefully get some tourist to visit and spend their dollars there and to help our small town economically.
