Remonde said it was the DoTC and NTC officials that had asked the President to include the announcement in her SONA although he admitted that they did not directly talk to her about the matter.

si GMA ang orig na promo-girl.. hehehe. i read the reaction of the group TXTPower on this announcement. sabi nila, “The truth is, text messages may already cost less than 50 centavos. The forward march of mobile technology and the gigantic profit rates for the past years have lowered the cost of sending text messages to absurdly low levels, far lower than P0.50,” said TXTPower president Anthony Ian Cruz.
