Bukas na pala ang NAIA-3

Sana parating me SONA. Hmmm..

What you’re looking at are the first passengers of Cebu Pacific bound to Caticlan at the new NAIA-3 Terminal. Nabasa ko this morning sa Malaya newspaper habang ako eh nagkakape at pini-pedicure ni Inday.

Mabuti naman. Tapos na siguro ang kurapsyon dito. Maliligaya na siguro ang mga naghati-hati! Hahaha! Charing!

Described like the Philippine eagle poised for flight, the ultra-modern and deluxe Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 is now ready for take-off, supposed to be on Dec. 15, as the world’s newest international air terminal but now was (hurriedly) opened in time for the big party at the end of the month. Yun ang chorva.

Sight nyo? nice granite floors and overhead lights… Dito ako bagay rumampa. Not at the other terminal na kala mo warehouse nang mga pokpok. Yong mga nango-ngotong dyan sa Arrival at US Dollars pa mandin ang hinihingi? Sila ba, bibitbitin den sa bagong airport na to?

We have some new and improved airline ticketing counters. Sana, new and improved attitudes den. Minsan kasi an-susungit nang mga tinamaan! Grrr! Di ko alam kung naiirita dahil maganda at sosyal ako or talagang panget lang talaga sila.

Maaliwalas with high ceilings.

I hope they make comfort rooms na ganito sa mga barangay schools o kaya sa mga university dyan sa Manila.

This one reminds me of the Newark International Airport in New Jersey.

Build-operate-transfer (BOT) contract to mga kabisyo. PIATCO will turn over to the government the entire facility after 25 years of operations. In addition to the guaranteed annual payments, government will receive from five to 10 percent of the airport’s gross revenue. PIATCO is also obligated to deliver to the government 36 percent of all terminal fee collections from outbound passengers. Filipino overseas workers and Muslim pilgrims will be exempted from the terminal fee.

Unlike NAIA 1 and 2, families and friends welcoming or sending-off relatives and friends will have access to the terminal building itself, where they will be able to relax in lobbies and coffee shops, shop in retail stores or have send-off parties in restaurants. The installation of state-of-the-art security equipments will guarantee safety to well-wishers, passengers and employees within the building.

NAIA 3 was built by the PIATCO consortium composed of Philippine, German and Japanese companies, namely Philippine Airport and Ground Services Terminals, Inc.; Fraport AG Frankfurt Services Worldwide; People Air Cargo and Warehousing; SB Airport Investments; Philippine Airport and Ground Services, Inc. and Nissho Iwai Corporation. It was designed by the American Architectural firm Skidmore Owings Merill along with Flaghalen Frankfurt Main, AG.

An ultra-modern building measuring 1.1 kilometers from end to end, NAIA 3 was built according to a master plan drawn by the Aeroport de Paris in 1990. The new terminal will have among its major features 20,000 sq. meters of shopping mall, 140 check-in counters, 118 immigration and 40 Customs counters, nine moving walkways and two car parks which would accommodate more than 3,000 vehicles, 70 flight information terminals, 300 kilometer fiber optic IT cabling, 29 restrooms, 29 elevators and 20 escalators. It will also have duty free shops, conference rooms, a food court and an ecumenical chapel.

For WORLD PEACE, ba’t kaya feel kong nasa SONA to?! Mga kunichiwa, tandaan nyo at ita-tak nyo sa mga pwet nyo to, pera naten to mga kabisyo! Halina magsaya! Kahit papano, nahatian tayo nang ligaya! Although, am sure mas malaki sa kanila. Getz nyo?! Hahahaha!

ganito pala kaganda ang loob ng terminal 3, wonder why they just let it sit for 6 yrs, sayang yung 6 kotong years specially sa international arriving passengers dolyares yun. I couldn’t imagine the duration it took to divide-divide +/- their shares en mucho dineros.

Open, but only to domestic airlines. When will international airlines be able to use it? I am so sick of NAIA 1. The first thing that hits your nose when you come out of NAIA 1 is the smell of piss. Yuck.
