SUMMA CUM LAUSI?!
I remember Lee Iacocca in his book (don’t have the book with me at the moment), “Where have all the leaders gone?” In there, he said that: A LEADER SHOULD HAVE CHARISMA. It’s not really being flashy. Charisma is the quality that makes people want to follow you. It’s the ability to inspire. Why? People follow a leader because they TRUST him/her. Which means, if you are a leader and no one is following you, then you must just be strolling in Luneta Park for some very leisurely walk.
I really have nothing against Gloribee. I think she should be credited for: [ fill in the blanks ] Hahaha!
And if you remain silent on NBN/ZTE to protect some people by the Pasig River? You get awarded to be the boss of the agency called: [ fill in the blanks ] Hahaha!
Honestly, you could hardly find any government leader out there who can articulate a plan for solving: [fill in the blanks] Hahaha!
What we do know is that, we have so many leaders out there na walang ginawag pag-hati-hatian ang pera at lupa nang bayan at kurakutin para ipamudmud sa kanilang mga: [fill in the blanks] Hahaha!
Gosh! There’s just too many! The current flavor of the month was the current flavor many years ago! Spiralling quality of education, population exploded na!, personal income na ewan ko ba has not risen for all these centuries, farm to market roads na indi umabot sa Barrio Siete, infrastructure na up to now there is no expressway from Manila to Matnog! Haller?!, urban centers na walang dinivelop kundi Metro Manila lang at kalapit probinsya and I could go on and on!
Today? Arroyo’s public support ratings plunged to a record low, making her the most unpopular leader in the country since democracy was restored in 1986, the Social Weather Stations said in a survey released Friday. Now, ba’t kaya feel ko na merong mamu-mud-mud nang NFA rice sa mga squatters for some photo op para ibalandra sa mga newspapers?! Anyone knows the answer?!
Back to Lee Iacocca. He said that a leader must have the following:
1.) CURIOSITY. The leader has to listen to people outside of the “Yes, madam” crowd in her inner circle. And the inability to listen? Is a form of ignorance.
2.) CHARACTER. That means, knowing the difference between right and wrong and having the guts to do the right thing.
3.) COURAGE. That means having balls! It means, taking a position even when you know it will cost you your votes.
4.) CONVICTION. Passion. You’ve got to really want to get something done. Hmmm… Like doing something immediately to recover those trapped at the Suspicious Lines?
5.) COMPETENT. Obvious, ain’t it? You’ve got to know what you’re doing!
Interestingly, SONA 2008 will be on July 28 mga kabisyo. As is usual with Reyna? Makikinig ang lola and will try to daysekt ever kung ano anong chorva chorva ang gagawin nila. We’ll find out kung mga ka-eklavuhan lang ang mga itets.
Meanwhile, for WORLD PEACE, where have all the leaders gone?!
