Fair use, content usage and sharing. End of YouTube?

For sure, there’ll be no WORLD PEACE with Viacom and Google. They’re headed to the courtroom and this time, it looked like there is gonna be no meeting at the settlement table, I suppose.
YouTube is one great modern society invention. That’s why VHS and betamax were all a thing of the past now, because sharing amateur videos has now become just merely a click of the mouse that it became a phenomenon. YouTube introduced a one-to-one basis, rather, a one-to-many. With new technology enhancements, the more it has become easy to share video. YouTube will now forever be a major fixture of modern society.
And that’s where Viacom is having a big problem. According to Viacom, because of all the mechanisms that make it easy to share video on YouTube, it’s the more reason why there is rampant copyright infringement and because of this, they have lost millions of dollars in revenues.
At issue is fair use, content usage, including reposting a video on the Internet, which really is a way for people to share what they enjoy. Viacom claims to have no problem with sharing – for a long as you buy a license to do that.
End of YouTube?
