<description>i swear to god Roy, I dissected his diary, DAY BY DAY and analyzed it. it took me probably a little more than a week to digest his diary. toward the end, i just realized that i was reading a diary by one ignorant, pathetic person who is devoid of any understanding of anything Filipino.

if you care to read, you can follow the links. i have it as i have said DAY BY DAY analysis.

he&#039;s incurable. he&#039;s out there trying to find someone that he could convince. yet the more people read about his story, the more they find out that this person is beyond crazy.

<description>This guy in the first instance was totally unedified and was definitely paranoid.

There are many sites which offer an insight into modern Philippine culture and explain the benefits and pitfalls of an association with a Filipino girl. Anyone contemplating a lasting relationship should be totally familiar with the potential for scam and recognise the traits. However, it is also important to understand the appalling poverty that can drive some girls to unwittingly seek support to relieve her family’s plight and set the alarm bells ringing.

Some reading this may regard me as a DOM but nothing is further from the truth. I am in my 60s and no marital ties. In 2003, rather than use the services of a Tour Operator, I advertised for a male or female with good knowledge of Philippine history and places of interest to accompany me on a fully paid 4 week trip throughout the country. I received in excess of 500 replies. Many of the replies were begging emails and some obviously from opportunists quoting their ‘knowledge’ obviously copied from web pages. I had a dilemma, but I managed to reduce the list to 10 prospects. I finally chose on from a girl who simply said… I know a lot of good places to visit but my English is not good, but my brother loves Philippine history and he can speak good English, could he come too? (this is my interpretation of her email long since deleted) I called her and she was right.. her English was quite poor… and the conversation was mostly giggles and di ko alam, however, her brother was a revelation and, being familiar with a degree of Philippine history, after a few questions it became obvious he knew his stuff and was very fluent.

To cut a long story short, I made a few advance hotel bookings and sent money for them to get to the Airport to meet me, not knowing that unlike most all other airports there is an appalling Zoo-like reception area on the lower level of NA airport. Anyway I finally located them and my jaw dropped when I saw the girl… I could not believe my eyes she was drop dead beautiful and 19 years of age. I had a fabulous 4 weeks travelling from place to place and enjoying the sites and a bit of history relative to the area, no Tour Operator could have matched the experience. I left the Philippines happy but sad that I was leaving, however I continued communicating with my beautiful Filipino, with difficulty but managed to master Bisayan-Tagalish to do so.

I felt I was falling in love but I kept telling myself not to be stupid… the age difference was ridiculous and although she repeatedly signed off mnmk I resisted the temptation to do likewise. It was not until she invited me a year later to visit her family home in Bicol and asked me outright ‘do you not love me? its ok if you do not’ that I wrote her and said yes I did but it did not seem right given our ages, the reply was age does not matter..

Here the similarities to your story begin… however, being familiar with Philippine customs I was well prepared, and I had previously told he never to tell a lie and ask for money… tell the truth and ask, whither I would oblige or not was a decision I would consider.

When I arrived I was really taken aback by the conditions her family endured and was rather shocked when she told me that we would sleep in her parents bed, and later on visting her grandparents their bed also… sorry folks nothing untoward happened, I was just delighted to hold this beautiful girl in my arms… but OMG the beds were like medieval torture racks… and I bought new beds with mattresses before my return.

I was there for the May Fiesta and yes everyone looked at me everywhere I went.. but then locals in LA did the same, being British I did not have the LA tan. I found myself promoted to foreign dignitary and invited to judge the local Beauty Pageant which was a great honour. And yes I got the ’sample’ food treatment… a little shocked at first because I had not done my homework on that.. but quickly sussed the situation when I was repeatedly asked ‘you like?’

One of the things that a foreigner has to be prepared to accept is a degree of social responsibility, you cannot live an affluent lifestyle in the Philippines and ignore the basic and emergency needs of your wife’s extended family, however, unless you are very wealthy, you need to come to an agreed understanding very early in the day about what you are prepared to do.

I approached this by providing support to Grandparents and empowering others by providing capital to start family businesses all of which I am glad to say have been successful. Yes, I married my beautiful girl and we have a very handsome son and although, I still have to work in Europe, she chose to stay in Phil and lives in a 5M house in Rizal… communication? I visit 3 times a year and YM 24/7 365 days a year… I will retire to Phil shortly.

My advice is get to know the people and their customs before visiting… Knowledge is Power.

		<description>Miss Pink Biik,
