Moral righteousness: Filipina Image, Part 2

Preface

  • Ladies and gentlemen, occasionally, I touch topics that are of serious nature because they just have to be talked about because it concerns everybody. I am only asking one thing: only serious comments please on these series of articles.

This is the continuation of the entry I made on April 16, 2008 entitled Moral righteousness: Filipina Image, Part 1. After reading and dissecting the entry made on Filipina Images (no links please), I was curious why the blog only featured Mayen and Mayen alone. What happened to Tim’s side? Why was his side summarily ignored?

I started reading the entry posted on Filipina Images on April 16, 2008, trying to understand Mayen and why was she treated as a role model. I also read Jepoy’s blog. I would read them during lunch time (I printed copies of the articles) and after I arrived home from work that would last up until midnight and sometimes early mornings. I was disappointed to read that both blogs focused on Mayen, for the most part. Jepoy’s blog (no links please) was extremely critical on Ellumbra even mocking his age. That’s not what I was looking for. I have questions that need some answers.

After reading the first few pages of Ellumbra’s blog, I realized that I have to switch gears and go on an overdrive and read the entire hospital scam blog. Why? What I was reading was something that is creating or has already created a bad impression of the Filipino people, the businesses in the Philippines as well as the Philippines in general. I love the Philippines and the Filipino people. I admit that there are a lot of corrupt people in the government and many more dysfunctionalities in our country. But I cannot accept that one bad egg makes the entire basket rotten.

From 4/16, I continued reading the blogs, I even spent the entire weekend (4/19 & 4/20) holed up in my room, spending countless hours and dozens of dunkin donuts coffee, reading and re-reading pages and pages of articles written by Ellumbra. I summarized them and continued to review them until I got a sense of comfort that I understood what’s going on. It’s now the 21st and I am still reading and reviewing all of the sites.

Watch out for next series of articles: Was there a scam?

TO BE CONTINUED . . .

(Serious replies only please!)
