What you are seeing is the current Top 100 chuvalais of this one blog of which I joined. Wanna know what I think about this?
I sent the guy an email. I also posted my question on his blog. I am very interested to hear from him. However, I have not received any response nor my comments have been moderated or answered. I have nothing against the guy. I just want to understand things. Given the so many rumors behind all these Top This, Top That and I’m told that those on the list of some of these wannabe authorities in blog rankings are merely friends of the blogger who puts this out, I became curious as to how some of this Top This, Top That comes up with their own rankings. Why? Of course, I want to put my own Top Mine as well and I want to put Reyna Elena on Top of the World! Hahaha! Please don’t mis-interpret my own investigative PCIJ journalism wannabe forensic expert but this one blog seriously boggles my young mind kung pano nga ni-ra-rank tong mga blogs.
According to this blog: this chorva chorva measures the top 100 chorva of the Philippine blogonetchiwa. Electro-magnetic chuvalais Technorati data with Feedburner and Google stats. Ok. Fine. So, I thought I would do my own abacusa-rithmetika ana-linteks to see what I could find. The explanation was kinda blurry. So, I headed over to the Human Resources kunichiwa to find some answers, but this was what I got.
La Kunichiwa is a new directory featuring the best Filipino chuvalais in the blogonetchiwa. Using data from Technorati.com, each chuva’s statistics such as rank, links and other information are gathered and stored, therefore chuvalinga!!! The data is then used as the basis for ranking the chuva of the top 100 Philippine blogonetchiwa. Getz? Ako hindi. Masyado syang generalissimo.
So, the usyusero me, I took the Top 19 blogs and included Reyna Elena on the 20th spot being number 64. I would like to make some comparisons and see how I fare with what he listed as the best of the best. Siempre inggit ever aketchiwa! Me like number wan ako! I don’t want to test all 100 of them. I just want to see some trends or anything I could find.
I sorted my sample according to Technorati Rankings. Sa Technorati rankings, the lower your number, the higher daw your rank. Ganetch. So, here’s how it looked like:
As you can see, I placed 9 in my sample. But this could not be what’s being used for the rankings. Otherwise, why am I on 64th place?
I sorted the sample by Links. Not bad, eh? I placed 8th in my sample.
I’m not convinced. So I sorted it by Feeds! Here’s how it looked like:
TADANNGGG!!! Well, it could very well be that this must be it! The placements looked very close, except for numbers 3, 8, 10, 20 and this bloody 64! Hahaha! But why the discrepancies? Is this manually adjusted? Because if you noticed, numbers 3 and 8 are owned by one person.
CONCLUSION:
Therefore, based on my high-level ana-lintek investigation, I believe that in all my very objective finger keyboard punching i raise my right hand forensic results that this blog is simply ranking blogs by using the number of Feeds who signed up on Feedburner. The “toringkul with” maybe is the manual adjustment that he does. Now, this is where I have a problem with because I know fully well that Feedburner subscription can be manipulated. Surprised? TRY IT! If you have 100 email accounts, you can subscribe to your own feeds from your own blogs. How do I know? Because 4 feeds from Reyna Elena comes from 4 of my email accounts. I discovered it by playing with it. At Banco De Reyna, 2 feed readers there is me and myself. Now, where will you get 1,000 email accounts? Hmmm… here’s an idea. What about those spam mails? Will it work? I’m trying it as we speak! errr…. write! HAHAHAHA! I’ll let you know!
Now, do you know that the word “engkanto” that I use here all the time in my blog refers to split personalities? When you post another comment and that comment came from you, to me you are under the spell of your split personality. That’s when you become bi-polar. You’re talking to yourself. You’re commenting to yourself. And you better look for some support group because something is soooooo not right gurl! HAHAHA!
On Feedburner? You can create as many engkantos as ever. Can anybody in the world beat Filipinos ingenuity? HAHAHA!!!! Try it and let me know. If you reached 5,000 you’d be on top of the chuvalais. For this blog to rank Filipino blogs is a good try but I personally think that the ranking is faulty. More importantly, I believe that these people who puts out Top 100 These, Top 100 That should and must make it clear to the readers what algebraic EC squared formula they are using to come up with the Top Chuvalinga. I suggest TRANSPARENCY, HONESTY, EQUAL OPPORTUNITY, CLEAR & UNDERSTANDABLE LANGUAGE!!! That’s how you win respect and command authority, especially if you always put Reyna Elena on number 1. Hahaha!!!
Meanwhile, no offense nor pun intended to the owner of this blog ranking blog (and to my samples), but I would like my blog to be excluded from this ranking. I deleted it already on my sidebar.

As I know ganyan ang ginawa ni Shoemoney dun sa RSS battle nila ni John Chow kaya biglang laki ng agwat nya ka JChow. Ayun, nanalo sya sa panggogoyo ng technorati. Nagsubmit din ako dun nung isang araw, ewan ko lang kung sang kangkungan ako pupulutin e 17 lang ang email feed subscriptions ko. isa pa dun e akin. hahaha!

no, nagkaron lang din sila ng friendly competition to prove who among them is more evil by the numbers of email feed subscribers. in the end, shoemoney proved himself more evil because on the last day of the contest, his subscriber counts almost doubled. hahaha!

Hmmm I don’t know if feeds are the key by themselves, or if they are just a byproduct of a popular website… still, can’t hurt to try, keep us informed of your experiment and the results!

basta ako nagulat ako kung saan galing yung 26 feed subscriber ko kahapon lol…wala akong ginawang madyik..di kasi ako sanay na may nagbabasa ng blog ko from another world e lol!
