I love this video. It’s funny, it’s wacky and it’s actually very direct to the point. Essentially, the point in selecting a school is that you have to go to the school that’s right for you, else don’t go at all. This was exactly the reason why I went to George Washington University in Washington DC. It was the perfect choice for me to go there because they have the best public administration school, specifically in federal contracts administration. In the end really, by going to the college that’s not right for you is going to the school that’s totally wrong for you, and this is so true. Why is this? Because we all go to school to improve our skills, our knowledge and our marketability in order that we be able to get a good high-paying job. So, if you are looking for a coop university, especially in the field of mechanical engineering, Kettering University might just be the right choice for you. After all, US News and World Report has ranked Kettering University as “the #1 University in the nation for Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering” in its annual “America’s Best Colleges Guide for 2008″ by the US News Best Colleges. There’s a certain advantage in going to the best colleges in the United States. You get to experience the best that they offer, the kind of network that you gain and the added value that the school attaches to your resume.

parang kelan lang di ba? ang hirap ata nito iha,
una, i’ve never been a mudra… ang hayop kasing syota ko, ayaw ako anakan!
pangalwa, mother’s wishes versus daughter’s wishes clashes ever ever together
of course mudra knows best and fair lang yung mga concerns na yan noh, there’s nothing wrong with bicol university, unfortunately, in the philippines, there’s this crab mentality amongst employers out that put a big demarcation line between graduates of “this” school and “that” school. i think you know what i mean.
getting work, being successful is not really all about one’s school although big contributing factor yong school of course, it’s really behind the student, the individual and the person her/himself. kaya lang nga, society places a certain social level on “those” schools that sometimes pretty much dictates where you’ll end up.
i think you should hear your daughter’s side as well. this is not just all about momma. this is all about mi unica hija. after all, if you force something to her that she might not like, baka maging guerilla yan.
i’d discuss with her why i chose bicol univ and i’ll listen to her what her choices are or kung ano man ang argument nya and if you are insistent on BU, then use all your convincing powers. don’t convince her nang pasigaw noh? baka indi mo na pakainin? in the end, your daughter must like the school, must agree with you and must believe that this is good for her, that there’s value in there for her, otherwise, indi nya yan tatanggapin ‘day kahit ilang lobo at babolgam ang ibigay mo. good luck and let me know!
