The Marshall Islands Social Security Administration (MISSA), is looking for a Collection/In-house Attorney. You will be based in Majuro, the capital of the Republic of Marshall Islands. Where is Majuro? It’s right here, and here.
Here are details of what they are looking for:
Position: Collection/In-house Attorney
Employer: Marshall Islands Social Security Administration (MISSA)
Location: Majuro, Republic of the Marshall Islands
Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws, must have passed the Philippine bar exams, with a minimum of 5 years experience
Basic Salary: US$36,000 per annum
Benefits: US$9,000 housing allowance per annum, health insurance, service car, airfare for applicant and immediate family

Deadline to submit application: April 25 and interview will be either on May 8, 9 or 12 at the AIM Conference Center, Makati (Greenbelt)
The CFO and MISSA Administrator will be in Manila in May to interview short-listed applicants. Please note: foreign lawyers hired by the Republic of Marshall Islands Government are exempted from taking the RMI bar exams. For as long as you are a graduate of Bachelor of Laws in the Philippines and have passed the Philippine bar exams, you can apply for the position.
Now, because I know people in high places in Majuro, let me give you some tips. First, manamit na parang successfull. Do not show up like you’re cleaning up Ayala Avenue as Metro-Aide. Dadagukan kita pag nalaman ko yan. As I said, lagyan nang mantika ang buhok para kuminang at pahiran nang gasolina ang sapatos para malinis.
Sasabihin ko ule! Don’t ever list your 24 dozen brothers and sisters on your resume. Peke-alam nila kung kafated mo lahat nang tao sa Barrio Siete? Ayusin ang resume. Todasin ang cover letter. Make sure na yong cover letter has your personality. Baka naman, super uber high flying yong cover letter mo taz nung inin-terview ka, Janina ka lang pala!
Be fluent in English. Accent has got nothing to do with fluency. Getz mo ko? As long as you talk straight, grammars are correct, use of english words are not deep - not high flying chuvalinga, kesehodang sin-tigas nang bakal ang Inglis mo as long as you can be understood, chika na yun. Do not ever ever compete with Janina, ingu-ngud-ngud ko muka mo sa Pasig. Tell them you found out about it at reyna. Me added points ka! hehehe! Last! Ngumiti ka naman koya!
