Project H.E.L.P. Basilan is now ongoing. Please do not forget the even at SM North Edsa Bingo Center which kicks off Project H.E.L.P. Basilan’s first fund raising activity which will be on March 15, 2008 to raise fund for BIDA. It is an on-line bingo game participated by 8 other SM outlets in Metro Manila. SM North Edsa will donate an initial of 2,500 tickets @ Php100 each. BIDA gets a net of PHP20 per ticket sold for the project. Should the event become successful, SM North Edsa might be able to make it their every payday special?. meaning every 15th day of the month can be given to BIDA for the Project: H.E.L.P. Basilan.
A few weeks ago, Lakbay Aral went to Olongapo City to meet with Sen. Richard Gordon. They watched Bagumbayan presentation at the Tourism Office. Senator Richard Gordon, being the chair of the Red Cross and Director of the Red Crescent has promised to put up a Red Cross Chapter in Lamitan City and will create the 143 on every Barangay. He donated a 4×4 Red Cross ambulance to be used by the 45 barangays of Lamitan City.
Senator Richard Gordon is an oldtime buddy and an Ateneo classmate of Bobby Tantoco who is one of the leaders of the BIDA. We hope that this partnership will transform Lamitan City into another Olongapo City!
