For one thing mga kabisyo, at least they seem to be one in acknowledging na talagang bulok na bulok na ang kalagayan naten with so much in your face kurapsyon. As a matter of fact, brin-owt up pa nila ? pero hindi ki-nwestyon ? ang moral ascendancy chuvalais of the present government chenalyn na wala sila nun ever ever. Read: me krisis yong mga tiga Pasig river nang morality. Duh! As if hindi alam nang sambayanang ayaw na ring mangumpisal dahil di ba me mga pari na yumari din nang hmmm… wag na lang! Ibang isyu yung lumuhod! Hehehe! Kaya, may I call sila nang nang emergency meeting mga kabisyo ? not to call on Gloria Arroyo to resign but essentially asking Gloria to take the lead in stamping out corruption.
EEEEK! SANTISIMA PORBIDA POR DYOS POS SANTO! ANO KAMO?! SI GLORIA? SYA ANG UNA PRIMERA NA MAGTURO SA PINOY ABOUT HOW TO GET RID OF KURAPSYON?!
Di mo na kelangan nang decision making process chuva chuva sa boardroom pagka ganito ang sitwasyon, (~nakapamewang sa harap nang CBCP~) Kung yong tiga Pasig eh confronted nang sunod sunod at walang humpay na allegations nang kung ano anong katiwalian mula eleksyong ninakaw, mula killings at mga nanga-wawala at mga pangungurakot na pati si Santa Imeldita na isa pang dyosa nang mga kurakot is madidismaya dahil tinalo sya sa kanyang ternorakot, then why do they have to “Urge the President and all the branches of the chuvalais to chenalyn the chorva chorva to take the lead in combating corruption wherever it is found!”
You think tatanggapin nila na me kurapsyon? Duhhhh!
You think sila pa ang pupunta sa DOJ at sasabihin kung magkano ang kinurakot nila? Duhhh!
For WORLD PEACE mga kabisyo! Mukhang me problema den tong CBCP! HAHAHAHA!!!

hello Joan Joyce, here is my two cents about this issue.
That is a very irresponsible remark from Fr. Reyes. That accusation is baseless. There is no payola involved. Tanga lang maniniwala na nababayaran ang mga obispo. There is a certain provision in the Canon law that actually states that case. and any manner of deviation from the canon law is automatic excommunication. Sa palagay ba natin the vatican and cbcp would tolerate their ranks? The bishops are not perfect but when it comes to moral issues i believe they are firm, at least with regards to their pastoral role as bishops and not as an individual. Donation is the right term and not payola. Fr. Reyes is so politically inclined na nakakalimutan na nya na sya ay pastor ng simbahan at hindi ng kalsada.
From a seminarian’s point of view, social activisim is a pastoral apostolate. It has a credit in heaven, and a divine tinge of heroism. pero being too much political in nature ay di na maganda. Yung isang obispo na sumama sa Peninsula Stand off pati na yang si Fr. Reyes ay nakakadismaya kasi it is okay na sumama sa rally pero you have to do it in the context of the constitution. kahit pari o obispo ka pa pilipino ka pa rin. and we abide on the sanctity of the 1987 consti.
Sa totoo lang dismayado din ako sa statement ng CBCP but they have their reasons. It maybe unacceptable to many but it is quite valid. wag muna kayo manghusga. may sinusulat ako na post and I will try my best to make things clear.
ako din naman kasama nyo sa mga nadismaya kasi after they issued the statement parang lalo nalito ang tao. pero bigyan natin ng puwang ang wisdom ng banal na espirito. remember it is a consensus and most who attended the emergency meeting was in favor of ousting Gloria. But the fact still remains that we have to delineate what is a “pastoral move” and a “political move”.
There are deeper reasons behind at nasabi ko na to kay reynz. wait nyo lang yung post ko then dun tayo magdebate if mali ba sasabihin ko.
I maybe biased because of my background but in this particular case i want to balance the opinion and I suggest sana you read the news more muna and make a research para naman kahit madebate tayo ng mga di sumasang-ayon sa ating opinion ay may bala tayo at di puro hearsay tungkol sa payola ni Fr. Reyes. If you haven’t noticed, Fr. Reyes has no support from his fellow priests. An isolated case of uber epal kasi. I’m talking about his being a tao and not his being a priest. those are two different things.
Isa pa, do not equate juan for pedro. kung ano ginawa ni juan labas si pedro dun and vice versa. If ever some bishops support the president, it reflects only their personal biases and not CBCP as a whole. Kung ano man sabihin nyan ni Fr. Reyes is only his opinion and does not reflect the majority of the clergy and bishop, suffice it to say, not of the whole catholic church hierarchy.
again this is only my opinion.
PS. thanks reynz for posting this up at least may other side of the fence para balanse. di ko pa lang tapos masulat kasi di ko makita yung references ko, tinabi ko lang kahapon sa bookmarks ko nawala na.

hay naku, if I know, kung minsan questionable din ang CBCP, nabubulungan din yang mga yan malamang ng demonyo, at sobrang mas malakas yata ang bulong ni Lucifer sa kanila at tila umeeffect, kawawa talaga ang mga pinoy…

hahaha. ang taray. let’s just wait for their next move. di pa naman daw tapos ang usap kasi mukhang magbabago pa sila ng posisyon dahil ayaw irevoke ni bansot ang EO 464. The Catholic Church is prudent and not that impulsive. Yet I respect your opinion about lucifer’s whisper.
One question: Are other ministers of other religion kaya hindi nabubulungan ni satanas?
kung ang sagot mo ay di mo alam, then let’s shut up.
Kung ang sagot mo ay hindi, then you are definitely not catholic.
at kung ang sagot mo ay oo, then May God Help us all because we are all doomed for hell.
Binalik ko lang sayo comment mo! Peace!

In case we’ve forgotten, let us all be reminded that the churches, or some if not all, are getting a financial support from the Palace. In one way or another, the Palace has been able to augment to the finances of several churches. Add up to that the earlier revelation of the running priest, it’s no wonder for CBCP to take a seemingly coward position on a grotesque issue which involves no less than Gloria.

I believe that they seem to be losing – or baka wala na nga – the authority that they use to weild! Who’d believe them now when these corruption is IN YOUR FACE NA? I can’t believe they’d go on a SAFE MODE, to please the corrupt regime? grrrr!!
