The Greedy Group ++ and the Greediest of ‘em ol
If there was ever a law passed in our own turn world kawntri which I was tres tres happy about, it’s this wag kang kukurap else barangay tanod ka ever ever! Yet, if there’s a C++ in programming mga kabisyo, this Alphabet Scandal has the Greedy Group ++ according to this article which says: Who are in this group? Hanapin nyo na lang sa artikulong yan. There’s even a Gang of Four. But here’s the mother of them all - - -

Ang chika nung bagong Senate witness, yong ZTE daw eh nag-advanced na nang $41 million sa Filipino group in three installments.
1. Unang tranche was $1 million released in August 2006 (for representation);
2. Pangalawa was $10 million in March 2007 as success fee after the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) approved the project;
3. Pangatlo was $30 million after President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo attended the signing of the contract in Boao, China, and this amount was to be used “in aid of elections” or support for administration candidates in the May 2007 national elections.
Can you imagine kung ginasto yan para tag-pi tag-piin at yung kalsada papuntang Bikol at lagyan nang kuritas yong bridges sa Barrio Siete? Tone-toneladang kuritas yan mga kabisyoooo!!!
Now, eto daw po ang story nang lomobong kikbakan na umabot nang $170 million!
Dati, each ZTE and Filipino Crook gets $40 million each:
Nag offer ang ZTE sa broadband project project nga na to for $130 million. Sa $130 million, yong actual project cost was only $50 million, taz yung ZTE at Filipino group eh kikita nang $40 million each na kikbak. Gusto nang ZTE i-overprice lang sya nang $25 million, but ZTE had to give in sa mga kapritso nang mga kurakot.
Now, each ZTE and Filipino Crook gets $54.5 million each!
Tong Arescom naman, nag-offer to undertake the project with a wider coverage. Dahil dun, ZTE raised the project cost to $189 million, with $109 million in kickbacks split evenly between the Chinese firm and the Filipino group.
Nag-increase pa sya! Each ZTE and Filipino Crook now gets $70 million each!
Tinaasan pa nang pang third time to $269 million to increase the coverage with the kickbacks rising to $140 million ($70 million each for ZTE and the Filipino group).
The final cost raised the kickbacks to a whopping $170 million.
Dyi-nak-ap nila ngayon ang presyo nang project to $329 million ostensibly to ensure full nationwide coverage.
ETO ANG JUICY PART!
At one point, Fan Yang, ZTE executive director, got irritated because the Filipino group could not control Jose “Joey” de Venecia III, head of Amsterdam Holdings Inc. (AHI) that proposed to undertake the NBN project on a build-operate-transfer scheme.
“ZTE asked: What kind of support are you giving when you can’t handle one person?” said Madriaga, who said he met with Fan 15 to 20 times.
Madriaga said the “Greedy Group” had also asked for $5 million for De Venecia. The AHI head walked out of a meeting in China so the payoff did not push through.
“If Joey and the group would agree, they would give the $5 million to Joey,” he said.
Madriaga said he was at the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong City during the “back off” confrontation between De Venecia and the President’s husband, Jose Miguel Arroyo.
“I was not inside the private room” but “I heard First Gentleman cursing when he stormed out,” he said.
“P… i… bata to mahirap pakiusapan ([Curse] It’s difficult to make a request to this kid),” he quoted the President’s husband as saying. “I heard it personally when he left. He was wearing a barong Tagalog.”

Hay lord… social climbing to na max itoh!. Ang Malakanyang ay may balak pa yatang pumasok sa soap opera ng showbiz. Sabi ng bubwit ng palasyo…. nag-agonize daw si Gloria kung pupunta sya sa Boao, China sa pirmahan ng kontrata kasi nga nakaratay sa banig ng karamdaman ang primero esposo. Tsk uu nga naman mahal na mahal nga naman nila ang isa’t-isa as if di natin alam ang mga chismax hehehe.
Naka 3 palit na rin sila ng version ng kwento tungkol sa P500,000 ngtunay na modelo ng good samaritan na si USEC Manny Gaite. Pati sila ang lito na sa script na sila rin ang sumulat.
Binago na rin nila ang istorya tungkol sa inamin ni Gloria na alam nya na may kurakutan sa ZTE deal bago sya pumunta ng China. Sabi ni ES (eng-eng sigurado) Ermita di raw totoo na alam ni Gloria kahit inamin ni Gloria sa interview sa radyo. Ayan na nagkakalituhan na ulit. Nagmental black-out ata si Gloria nun kasi nakalimuntan nyang sinabi ni Sec. Neri na sinabi nya ke Gloria inofferan sya ng 200M peysuses ni Borjer King Abalos. Susme nagka-amnesia pa yata ang presidente. Sana ay kasama na lang sya sa EDSA Celebration nila at nahulugan sa ulo nung bloke-blokeng confetti na hinulog mula sa chopper na di sumambulat sa himapapawid at nagbigay ng panganib sa kokonti na lang nilang chikadorang supporters. Pati ba naman bandila ng Pilipinas ay di na sumang-ayon na itaas ng mga hunyangong Bise Presidente. Pasok pa din to sa showbiz… comedy naman itreckek.
Mahaba na hehehe…. halatang gigil ako huhuhu.

One funny sh*t happened during the Senate hearing while Dante Madriaga was spilling the beans. If I remember it right, I heard a Senator quip:
Hindi lang isa. Dalawa pa ang nakapatong. At nagkabukol-bukol na.
Or something to that effect. The Senator is apparently referring to the astounding swelling of the ZTE-NBN price from a mere $50 million to a whopping $329 million. But I was thinking of something else ;p

p*tangnang mga ‘yan. wala akong kamalay-malay dito pala sila sa china gumagawa ng kalamay. kung alam ko lang di sana pinakain ko silang lahat ng hopiang tupa para nalaman nila kugn anong hinahanap nila.
ikakampanya ko nalang sa mga kachokaranz kong intsik na lagyan ng lead yung mga mineral water nila during the meeting. hahaha!

Iisa lang naman dahilan kung bakit lumaki ang issue na to eh, dahil sa mga ganid na pulitiko na involve jan. Di nagkasundo sa partehan hayan piesta kanya-kanyang takipan. Akala mo mga santo’t santita pag nasa harap ng kamera. I know the next part, matatabunan na naman to ng ibang issue. Kakasawa wala namang nangyayari sa kaso. Di umuusad. Panay ingay ang alam, walang resulta. Hays magbabantay na lang ako ng mga flying voters ng Reyna ahahahahaha.

hehehe, ang galing ng presentation mo, medyo naliwanagan ng konti ang pagiging igno ko sa isyung ito, grabe na talaga ang pangungurakot ng ating mga pulitiko, haay, parang aabot pa yata ako ng edad 80 kung sakali mang magkaroon pa ng reformation sa ating gobyerno, political recidivism yata ang nangyayari if the term is right, haay naku…nakakasawa na, ang daming taong pwedeng mapasaya ng ilang milyong dolyar na yan, tapos gusto lang pala paghati-hatian ng mga ilang crooks na yan, leche sila….

OO, malakas ang kita nyan, pwera sa TLA meron pang ads na darating - ala naman akong posted email sa site but they were able to contact me, hehehe (yabang!). Antay ko pa ang VISA card payment nila before I post their ads (annual payment $$$). Ang PPs dyan puro lampas 20$ pero di ko lahat ma post, nkkhiya na kasi!, hehehe, mukha ng palengke. I am not very much aware of the corruption going on sa bayan ko sinilangan. Pero diba out of all the president after Marcos (sowi maka marcos ako) she was able to restore the value of our Peso. During Erap’s time the value of our peso against the US Dollar was more than Php50.00 now it is between php40.00 to 45.00. Isn’t that a sign of progress? Sino ba ang hindi corrupt? Mula sa barangay tanod all the way to the top lahat sila corrupt diba? Lahat sila na tanggap ng lagay.

well, alam mo MPB, it’s not GLORIA kung bakit nag-appreciate ang peso. it’s a lot of factors.
1 - bumagsak ang dolyar dala nang sub-prime crisis sa USA
2 - oil countries like Venezuela at Iran don’t like to accept $ payments no more, kaya dump ever ang mga dolyar, result bumaba value
3 - stock market nang US humina dala pa nang napakagasto nan regulatory chuvalais - Sarbox
Marami pa. But one of the BIGGEST, DAAAA BIGGEST contributor sa iginanda nang economy naten are the OFW’s and the Overseas Pinoy who remitted over $14 billion to the Philippines that ignited all the buying and spending esp sa real estate.

saka alam mo ba… im praying for our dear GMA na sana… magbago siya. kung ayaw niya bumaba sa pwesto, she must at least show some guts to change the way she administer our country.
but i dont know… oh well… im really sad for her… kasi may nanay din naman ako, and she’s a mother as well kaya for sure, deep inside her heart, may nagsasabi sa kaniya na… “dear, mag resign k na lang para matapos na ang lahat.”
