Cher became known from the original pop/rock of Sonny & Cher. But with her talent, she immediately established herself as a solo recording artist. After that, it was history. She would release songs that always make it to the Billboard Chart, over and over. She is not just popular in the US, but extremely popular in Europe as well as in Asia.
Cher is the ultimate pop icon! I remember when her music starts to play at Woodies in Philadelphia, the entire dance floor burns like fire in frenzied dancing that even the bar downstairs turns into a stage! She is so popular that her career surpassed almost 40 years and she’s by far one of the biggest selling artists of all time.
Cher is my all time favorite singer! Although I love all of her songs, it’s the song BELIEVE that I love the most from her songs. Believe was such a hit and a giant commercial success that it even reached the top spot in Germany and the Top 10 in every country where it was released. What’s interesting was that, when she made that hit, she was 52 then making her the oldest woman to have a number one rock hit.
As a fan of Cher, I have seen her concerts a couple of times and I can’t wait for Cher Tickets at Caesars Palace to watch her again.
