Why is it ok for men to get misty and never ever ever EVAHHH for women?

It’s nasty in America! Why is it that it’s ok for men to get misty and never ever ever EVAHHH for women? Why is it that a man is seen by the American public as more sincere than a woman? Why? Matilda? Why? Punyemas ever talaga ang aking lovey dovey kawntri!

It was big news in the US this morning mga kabisyo. They’re all talking about it in the morning, no matter which radio talk show you switch on. They’re talking about the tears. Some call it crying – but she wasn’t crying Matilda! She wasn’t! She got misty eyed.

It was Hillary Clinton’s big moment last night during her acceptance speech in New Hampshire for winning that state’s primary election where she said:

“Tonight, I listened to you and I found my voice!”

It was a close fight with Obama who had just recently won Iowa’s primary. History has it that whoever wins Iowa becomes the next President.

But it was Hillary Clinton’s near-cry moment that captured the nation’s attention!

Politicians may be a bunch of liars, turncoats, corrupt people who’s got only one objective in their brains, to be powerful and grab every influence out there that they could grab to better themselves, their families and their friends. But when you see one whose tears are heartfelt and honest, you see the real person. Trust me people of the Philippines! There are liars here too! I guess, our politicians back home are probably more blatant with their stuff.

Reactions were mixed of course. There are those who do not want to see a future President of the United States crying. They claim that we’re a powerful nation and we don’t need a crying President. There are those who doesn’t make a big fuss about the crying, especially if it’s true, honest and genuine.

I really like Obama. Damn it! I really like Hillary, too! But why is it that the American public just seems to be nasty with women??? What is it that I don’t understand Senor Eustaquio?!

  4. hindi po miss joyjoy. she’s just expressionless.

miss reyna perhaps because of the “men dont cry” thinking that created the double standard.

  6. kase nga when women cry, it’s just normal dahil women are more known to be more open with their emotions. at dahil nga common na masyado (like common sense) hindi na sya effective sa mga ganyang sitwasyon.

unlike for men, who are notorious for keeping their emotions, kapag umiyak e laglag ang panty nang sangkababaihan kase ibig sabihin hindi talaga kayang itago (normally). being rare for men to cry in public, kapag ginamit ng mga notorious politicians e talaga namang patok sa masa.

ganun talaga, pag masyadong common (like common sense) wala na masyadong effect

  20. I agree with kk. siguro common na kaya wala na dating. it is usually expected that women are more expressive than men. pero when I saw the clip of hilary on youtube, i felt sincerity on her words.

all i know is that, it is healthier when you cry, whether if you are a man or a woman. it removes stress and benefits the heart muscle and circulation. It would be a “for show” if one cries in the buzz or in startalk. Actually when you cry in a gossip oriented show, it’s a different story. no pun intended for the fans of Christy fermin.

I agree with the post. I think both obama and hilary are great leaders. It’s not on the sex per se but on the platform and policy that will make them outdo each other in the bidding race.

hilary is strong. it doesn’t follow that she is weak when she became teary eyed. it is probably tears of joy because of her defeat in iowa the day before the new hampshire showed its solid support for her on the polls.

Grabe, exciting panoorin itong US election.

re: yung tanong ni kotseng kuba, oo nga, di ba may project kayong ganyan? tuloy nga ba? yung what do u think about man to man relationship… tuloy ba at makapag research na nga

  24. jeniffer, isn’t it that the issue is about the people’s perception between men and women? nasan ang discrimination dun?

  26. I SECOND EMOTION hehe. let’s change places hindi kaya magalit ang mga babae if kami naman magcomment ng “MAS MAY SENSE ANG MGA LALAKI kesa SA MGA BABAE” hehe.

remember, at di kami nagsabi nito ha, kino-quote ko lang:

    Men are smarter than women.

Pupusta ako may magrereact na sexist ako… kahit hindi hehe

i just want to see the reaction of women kung lalaki ang magsasabi ng ganito comment.

equal naman ang lalaki at babae eh. meron lang ilang incidence na siguro mas nananaig ang lalaki kasi mas objective at mas malakas ang loob. pero it’s not general. kasi madami din babae na malalakas ang loob at magagaling. so there is really no reason to generalize that all men are senseless.

    Peace!
