Tulad dito, may national ID kami. Yong driver's lic, car registration saka government record naka link lahat sa ID No. Tapos gagawin na ring smart card yong ID para pwede na rin sa e-gates ng airport. Pero alam mo nung nagpunta ako sa US, lumabas ang personal data ko nung ni-enter ang Qatar driver's lic. ko sa Macy's. It feels undemocratic to have a government watch you at all times. It'll be like in 1984. In the case of the Philippines, though, it will allow for them to identify those who live in the shadows, the poor, the squatters, etc. Not to mention help with the collection of income taxes. Furthermore, the Philippines has a tendency to be more socialistic in its views so I don't think there would be a great deal of opposition against it.
