Wow! This must be the loneliest Christmas that I am going through! Ever! AND I HATE IT ~!@#$^!!!. Booote na lang, although I was at work today, I really appreciate the text by my wife Malen?from Manila, the phone call by Froi from Singapore, the email chichat with Kengkay from Germany and with Melai from Canada and you know what? The paparazzi from Germany, Beng?called and we talked for hours on the phone!!! I really appreciate all this! C’est tres especial vraiment! And then a few hours, Kutz from Arizona called and that was another hour on the phone! Thank you all my women of my life! And my fraternity brother!?I adore you all! Those are very special to me!
Soon after, I tried calling all?the people in the Philippines and here’s what I got:

Ibang – iba talaga ang Pasko sa ating bayang sinilangan, ang bansang Pilipinas. Dito sa UAE, ang Pasko ay isang malaking okasyon para sa mga Kristiyano bagamat nasa bansang gitnang sinilangan, ang lahat ay masaya dahil kahit papaano ay nandoon ang saya ng bawat isa na maipagdiwang nag espesyal na okasyon tulad ng Kapaskuhan o ang Kapanganakan ng Mahal na Hesukristo na minsan lamang ginaganap sa loob ng isang taon at masaya ang lahat ng mga Kristiyano na pagkalooban ng isang bansa na tulad ng UAE na ipagdiwang ang ganitong okasyon bagamat alam ng lahat na ang bansang tulad ng UAE ay isang Muslim na bansa pero hindi naging hadlang ang lahat bagkus ay maging sila man ay nagpupugay sa ating pagdiriwang sa araw ng kapanganakan ng Mahal na Hesukristo.
Dito sa UAE, maging weekend man o hindi ang araw ng Kapaskuhan, malayo man o malapit ang simbahan, nandoon pa rin ang kaugalian ng bawat isa na pumunta ng simbahan at makiisa sa pagdiriwang sa hatinggabing okasyon ng Kaarawan ni Hesukristo. Nandiyan ang lahat ay nagmamadali na makauwi ng tahanan mula sa trabaho para ipaghanda ang sarili sa nalalapit na pagdiriwang ng kapanganakan ni Hesus. Nandiyan din ang magsakripisyo na tumayo ng ilang oras habang nasa loob ng simbahan dahil ang lahat ng Kristiyano, Pinoy o hindi ang lahat ay nagkakatipon-tipon para ipagdiwang ang espesyal na araw na ito at dahil ito ay malaking pagdiriwang, ang iba ay may kanya-kanyang dalang upuan; nandiyan din ang pagtitiyaga na makapag-commute kahit may kalayuan sa simbahan, magtiyaga na tumayo at makiisa sa pagdiriwang sa loob ng simbahan habang ang panahon ay may sadyang kalamigan lalo na para sa mga Asyano. At pagkatapos ng hatinggabing misa para sa Kapaskuhan, ang lahat ay abala sa pagbati sa kani-kanilang mga kaibigan, kakilala, kamag-anak, sa kanilang mga pami-pamilya at sa lahat ng kapwa Kristiyano anuman ang antas sa buhay. Nandiyan din ang nagkukuhanan ng larawan pagkatapos ng misa bilang alaala sa pagsasama sa araw ng kapaskuhan.
Masaya ang lahat subalit iba pa rin talaga ang makasama mo ang mga mahal mo sa buhay at ipagdiwang ang Kapanganakan ni Hesukristo sa Pilipinas. Saan mang mundo ka naroroon, hahanap-hanapin mo ang Paskong Pinoy sa Pilipinas. May pera man o wala, mahirap o mayaman, masaya ang lahat kung sama-sama ang buong pamilya sa Pilipinas sa Araw ng Pasko.
