Psst! No pun intended to my blogfriends who’s got Cat on their names!
Yesterday, I drove to Voorhess, New Jersey and invited Chuva to go to church with me. Normally, his dog – Simba would be barking and wagging his tail incessantly to get my attention. He always wanted me to carry him. But yesterday, it was different. I got no welcome whatsoever. No barking. No noise. No Simba by the door.
What’s going on Chuva?!
Inside, Simba was just staring at me and he’s not moving. I immediately went into the internet to look for any nearest Animal Hospital in the area. Meanwhile, Chuva was also on the phone and he found this one:
And so I drove them both to this hospital. This was my very first time to be in an Animal Hospital, actually. I was really surprised to see that it really looked like a regular hospital complete with nurse’s station.
Heck, how would I know? Back in Barrio Siete, dogs end up in tagay crowd di ba? No hospital or anything. I remember in Barrio Siete yong mga lasenggero pa ang nag-lalaway whenever they see a dog. Di ba? Ok – back to the story.
So, yeah, surprise ever ang lola nyo to see that this really nice and great looking hospital is just for animals and pets! Ugh!

In any case, no, there’s no truth to the rumors that I had a physical checkup there – I have to drive Chuva and his dog Simba to this animal hospital because Chuva was now very stressed and I could see that he’s now a complete freak!
Simba meanwhile, was just staring at both of us in the car. The animal hospital was more or less 10 miles away from Chuva, from Voorhees to Marlton to Mt. Laurel. We were already about half a mile away from the hospital on Mt. Laurel Road when a black cat dashed across the road in front of us. I did had enough time to put on a brake – but I remember “something”… Alam nyu yon?! Chuva and I stared at each other for some split second there! Believe ba kayo sa chuvalais na yan about black cats? I believe ba?
Back at the hospital – things were not looking good. Simba passed out. Diwa who was lost in the wilderness of Mt. Laurel finally arrived. Since I have to go back to Philadelphia for more errands, I had to leave everyone at the hospital. Right around midnite, I got a text from Chuva.
“He’s gone.”
I replied: “That black cat!”

Am just at home, missing Simba. May bago na syang pet ngayon, Alimango binilhan ko may kasamang lobo at babolgam! Malumbay eh. Di ma-ka-konsentrate!

hindi ko na nakita simula ng mag *** habang nag brunch kami. nakita ko dedma na sya. nakakamiss… wala ng maingay lol. wala ng ilalabas sa labas…

Pero, that’s life. It ends. You may grieve awhile but not so much…baka kasi ikaw naman, Chuva, ang ma-miss namin, eh kulang pa ang oras mo na shi-ne-share mo sa amin…

Alam mo C5, duda ko, hindi pinakain ni Inday. Kasi, there is a story already na kinain ni Inday yong pagkain nang aso, di ba??? Di ba kinuwento mo na samen yan Diwa! HAHAHA! As in nag-ka rashes ka dahil ang nakain mo eh dog food? HAHAHA (oops sori Simba)

the doctor never really told us, sinabi ba senyo diwa? nag-blood test, inix-ray at ni-revive pa nga sabi nang Daddy Chuva nya, kaso alam mo ang totoo nito joanjoyce, ginutom ang Diwa at binalakang gawing asocena si Simba!

how sad
i don’t have pets but when i went to NY to visit my best friend, her mom has three dogs. we suddenly loved dogs kasi ang cute nila and they are sweet too. one of them look like simba, same bread siguro. Tapos yong isang dog old na kasi – mga 10 years old na ata, ayaw talaga naririnig ng mom nya that the dog is nearing its life span at ayaw daw nya isipin kasi malulungkot talaga sya.

Naku yan ang sabi ng matatanda sa atin. If it’s not you, your pet will suffer. Parang taga sambot sila ng malas. At least, you did your best to save Chuva’s pet. Ang cute pa naman parang yung aso kong si Anjo at yung amo nyang si Ambo.
