Kung wala kang pomada, mantikilya pede na.

Call it the separation of the church and the state but as far as the church is concerned, there seemed to be a lot of separation between that of the women’s dresses from their bodies. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a church proponent of changing the way you want to dress your body. Heck, what do I care. I’m not interested to see them anyway, unless you’re of the other kind! hehehe~!

Teka, me guidelines din ba sila dun sa mga baklang pari?! Weeeee!!! Oopps, sori. Slip of toungue. Ma-erase nga!

But the Archdiocese of Manila Sunday reminded the faithful that there is a proper dress code for attending Mass. The archdiocese’s Ministry of Liturgical Affairs (MLA) said wearing the proper attire when attending Mass is an important part of showing respect to the sanctity of the house of God. In guidelines posted at parishes and chapels, the MLA said the faithful should wear formal, semi-formal or smart casual attire when attending Mass.

Male Catholics are encouraged to wear long-sleeved polo shirts, collared shirts, or t-shirts paired with either slacks or jeans.

Women are asked to wear dresses, long gowns, or collared blouses.

The guideline said corporate attire and school uniforms are also allowed inside churches. However, no guidelines were issued regarding footwear.

Ngee!!! Ba’t kinalimutan? Flip-flops? Pede? Bakya? Pede?

The faithful are strongly advised not to wear caps, basketball jerseys, tank tops or jersey shorts and shorts during Mass. Women are also asked not to wear spaghetti-strap tops or tank tops, short skirts, skimpy shorts or sleeveless shirts with plunging necklines when at Mass.

So, di pede to…

To? Pede to?

You know, if they would only put an air-conditioner in the church, maybe people would change the way they dress, especially in the searing heat of the summer. Maybe this is the reason why this church over at Megamall is getting popular because it’s fully-airconditioned.

But my personal take on this is this – eh pucha naman no?! Magsisimba kang juedas ka! Aba! Hoy! Babae!

Hmmptt!

AMEN!

when you go to church, at least you believe that there is a God whom you ought to worship, although you are not obliged to worship Him only in church. you can worship him anywhere (kahit na sa nakaupo ka sa iyong comfort bowl) at anytime, (yes kahit tulog ka, kung magagawa mo). but the church you go to is not exclusively yours. it belongs to a group of believers (at kung di ka kasali, alis!) and because the church is not exclusively yours, at least have the decency and the courtesy of appearing like one decent person (kahit na pokpok ka sa kinapokpokan) worshipping in a church is supposedly a celebration, dapat angkop ang suot mo (unless me katok ka) so it is a social/religious event dahil nga celebration. try going to the cultural center and watch a play and go there na naka-porontong ka o kaya naka two-piece. ewan ko lang kung di ka mahiya to the bones! at kahit na triplihin mo pa ang entrance fee (or ticket cost) am sure you will not be allowed to get in. but in the church, especially in the Catholic church, libre na (walang ticket ticket or entrance fee) eh babastusin mo pa? mahiya ka naman. buti pa kaya, kungdi ka maka suot ng desenteng pananamit, makehelera ka na lang sa mga nagpapalimos sa bukana ng simbahan. magkakapera ka pa, kapalmuks! ayos ba?
