Happy July 4th! Carpa! Carpa! Carpa!

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I may not like some of the crappy shit people do here, but I still love America. This country has given me so much that my other country can’t wont!

Here’a nice read from Conrado de Quiros of the Inquirer

Most Filipinos today dont have any recollection of it, but there was a time when we celebrated Independence Day on this day, July 4. That was the date the United States chose to grant us independence, to dramatize the point about the lives and fates of Filipinos and Americans being intertwined. That was an idea steeped in the most resonant myths and symbols, notably in the one about Filipinos and Americans fighting side by side in Bataan and Corregidor, being imprisoned and tortured in Intramuros, and winning hand-in-hand in Leyte and elsewhere.

God Bless the USA!

I’m either going to the beach or(?) *isip* *isip* *isip* or do people watching at the JFK Parkway, watch the parade or watch the fireworks or watch men (he! he! he!) in Rehoboth Beach.

Ok. Now, let me continue what I’m doing…
