That’s not a highway. That’s a reference to the notorious Nigerian scam going on forever on the internet. I’m sure you have received one of these scam letters that starts out with a bulk mailing or bulk faxing of a bunch of identical letters to every one who has an email account.
I would not give them a precious space in my blog, until my daughter from Italy, from my ex-husband Barolo Chianti Ballatore, called. She told me that she’s getting millions of dollars from a Filipina.
A WHO?!
She sent me the emails and it seemed to me that 419 is now taking shape with Filipino touches. But wait, is this a scam? But then again, who in her right mind would send her passport, her credit cards and her pictures online, to a person whom she has never met? My daughter was very excited! She was already planning her trip to Madrid! – Well, let me stop for a minute… These are the conversations that transpired between them.

I can’t believe i’m saying this online but for your sake: i can sense a personality of a person even from distance and even without seing or meeting them personally. I’m not a psychic nor I am a male version of Miss Cleo, but that gift just comes naturally with us INFJ (my personality type and ross knows what this is) (“c-c-c-call me now for your free reading” LOL).
I have a very very bad feeling about this. Just by merely staring at her gives me a very strong hunch.. very unnusual for me since I used to see thousands of face pic here on the net everyday. it seems that she is witholding something as evidenced on the way she stand, she smile, and wrote and constructed her letter. Its called innate psychology.
logic wise, why would you entrust 17.5 million dollars to a total stranger, the worst, via email. is there not enough pinoys around the world that you can meet along the streets of europe? why email? she doesn’t even know if the person she’s emailing is a criminal or a swinddler.
If she’d email me I would strangely fantasize of ditching her in a man hole and getting away with the trunk off to antartica. point is she doesnt even know the frame of mind of the people she’s talking to on the mail. peculiarly trusthworthy for someone who has 17.5 million dollars in her trunk.
I don’t know, I’m hoping that I’m making a mistake here. there’s really something wrong about this which I would not disclose for prudence sake.
My only regret is that she should at least have chosen a better pic of her to send. my apology for that sarcasm. sometimes I blow fire when im very cynical and skeptic of the obvious motives of a particular person.

This is another variation of 419 scam in the internet.
It seems like the emails didn’t come from a Pinay named Maria Fernandez nor these were written by her.
I reached to this conclusion because of the following reasons:
-She jumbled her address combining Manila and Osamiz; 7400 is not the right zip code of Manila; There is no place like Sto. Nino, Manila as far as I know; Osamiz was misspelled as Osamis. These petty errors could not be made by a native Pinoy or Pinay. The writer possibly is a Nigerian.
-Looking at Ms. Fernandez’ face and body, I don’t think our former President will spend or give 17 million Euros to Maria. Erap could be stupid and dumb to have unscrupulous political ally; but never been ludicrous in finding a mistress.
-Having and keeping 17 million Euros, I guess Maria is not stupid enough to reveal her identify to unknown person. Possibly she was a victim of this scam too. After believing that funds will be transfer to her account, she innocently forwarded her full identity with matching bank account to the culprit
-If ever she has this huge amount of money, I believe she will not live long enough to tell her story.

Yan nga ang sinasabi ko sa payong….na hindi pinay ang gumawa ng scam…na itong pinay na ito eh naging biktima ng scam at nagpadala ng mga dokumento nya na ginamit naman ng scammer na toh…tinatanong ko din kay ros kung nakita ang trace ng IP pero hindi na nya nasagot…at itong si Mr. Smith na ito, ito rin ang madalas na pangalan na ginagamit ng mga scammers…I had a friend from Canada (Canadian naman, hindi pinoy) who was a victim…sinabihan ko na, ayaw maniwala until nakapagbigay na sya ng total worth 4k dollars.
Supposedly matalino si Fernandez, eh sa link na bigay ni ros, based lang sa interview (english) muntik na nyang maagawan ng pwesto yung dapat nakapwesto who’s got more credentials.
Kaya siguro, nagahaman, pinatulan ang scam, pinagyabang ang identity, ayun, nadale…
As with the mixed address, sinadya ng scammer yun para hindi matunton yung talagang Fernandez, na since papunta namang Italy, hindi aakalain ng scammer na pinay ang babagsakan ng kanyang scam.
