Hello kahit matagal na nasulat ang komentaryong ito, hindi naman kaila na patuloy pa rin ang pagdagsa ng mga koreano dito.
Naalala ko lang minsan nung nagpunta akong bookstore sa isang mall, busing-busy ako naghahanap ng bibilhin ko hanggang sa mapansin ko na puro na koreano ang nakikita ko sa loob, nagulat ako at feeling ko tuloy ako ang nangibang bansa dahil ako lang naiiba dun! Grabe talaga, tapos tama kayo diyan na yung mga laking-Korea talaga ayaw talaga nilang makisama sa ibang pinoy, yung mga lumaki na lang talaga dito ang nakikisama, malamang naman di ba! Ayun alam naman nating nagbebenefit din tayo sa pagdating ng mga koreano dito ang malungkot lang e tayo naman din ang naagrabyado, yang tungkol sa pagbili ng bahay at lupa dito akala ko nga rin illegal yan pero may kilala akong ilang koreano na may bahay at lupa dito. Ewan ko na anung nangyayari sa bansa natin? Ako man kahit andami kong reklamo at pighati sa bansang ito, ayoko mawalan ng pag-asa na uunlad pa ang Pilipinas! Sana dumating ang panahong tuluyan na tayong lumaya sa pagiging api at alipin, pero sa tingin niyo destiny talaga ng mga Pilipino ang maging api? Dahil kasi sa attitude nating humble, not to mention pangangailangan sa pera kaya natin nagagawang tiisin ang hirap at magsakripisyo sa ibang bansa na kasalamuha ang ibang lahi. Naisip ko lang na kung maging mayaman ang Pilipinas wala na halos papayag maging katulong o alipin ninoman di ba? Malaking kawalan to sa buong mundo pag nagkataon!

hindi ka na nagtataka kung bakit marami nang mga Koreano dito sa bansa natin at hindi ka na rin magtataka kung bakit patuloy nagsusulputan na parang mga kabote ang mga Korean business dito sa sarili nating bansa, iba talaga ang nagagawa ng pera bayaran lang ang ilan tao dito na sa puwesto wala na silang pakielam kaya dun tayo naiisahan ng mga Koreano at Chinese. Nakakalungkot isipin na hindi pa talaga tayo malayang malaya isipin nyo na lang na ilang tao o bayani ang nagbuwis ng buhay laban sa mga mananakop na dayuhan, ngayon hindi parin tapos ang problema natin bukod sa basura, kriminalidad, kurapsyon dahil sa mga bulok na opisyal sa gobyerno , mga tiwaling pulitiko na walang inatupag kundi ang mamulitika at kahirapan at eto tatambakan na naman tayo ng panibagong problema tungkol sa pag iinvasion ng mga katabi nating bansa katulad ng mga Koreano at Tsino. Biruin mo naman saan ka ba nakakita na sila na nga ang mga dayuhan kung umasta akala mo kung sino feeling nila na bansa nan nila to mga kupal talagang mga putang inang dayuhan yan, yan ba ang kapalit ng mga ginagawa nila dito sa atin ang uunti – untiin tayong sasakupin at baka naman sa bandang huli sasakalin na tayo ng mga yan…huwag nating hayaan na magkaganun!

hello po. it’s lay again. hopefully i will be granted a visa this 02 july because my boyfriend’s parents would like to see me this september. their whole clan accepted me because of the fact that i have a white complexion. according to my boyfriend, his parents are worried if i can blend in korea & that we will face alot of challenges but my boyfriend assured them that he will take care of me. my boyfriend loves my family as well & that we are planning to live in baguio after 5 years in korea. i would just like to ask about the gift that i can give to his parents? any suggestions please…thank you.

haaay ang dami na ngang koreans sa bansa natin, ang ugali nila wala sa gitna kung mabait , mabait tlaga, kundi magalit galit tlga .. extremes.. i have koreans friends mabait sila compare sa iba na hindi tlga namamansin, i work in korean office.. ask ko sila bat ganun un iba mattaa sang ere, sbi nila mayayaman daw un at mayyabang kya gnun.. nagkaron din aku ng boyfriend na korean super sweet super mabait ntunaw niya tlga ang puso ko , ang galing kc magtagalog kya nagkakaintindihan kmi.. un nga lng bumalik na siya sa korea.. aftr nun.. wala halos isang buwan lng sya tumatawag ng mdals tpos wala n aku narinig sa knya.. gnun ata sila pag nahihiwalay sa gf, nlulungkot naghahanap ng iba.. at cguro ayaw ng parents nya sa ibang lahi kay gnun…

Hi Lay… I have some friends who also have Korean boyfriends. Just a friendly tip, never compete with his parents. I have so many Filipino friends (also teachers) who has relationships with Koreans…well, as expected…talo tayong mga Pinay. Koreans are popular racists. They treat Filipinos as the lowest form of people in the world. Here’s an example how these people treat us even in our own country. My co teacher’s husband was rushed to the hospital due to heart attack. He was confined in the hospital. My co teacher was in short of fund so she approached our Korean boss to ask if her Christmas bonus in advance. (By the way, he gives our bonus every Dec 24). She showed her hospital bills and vouchers. Our boss was upset because according to him, our Christmas bonus is a privilege so he can only release it to us on the 24th. I was so pissed that I approached him and explained to him the urgency of my co teacher’s need for the money. He debated with me. Alas, I told him that our bonus is not a privilege. It is mandatory and he is obliged to give it to us early part of December. I then told him that I referred the issue to my uncle working in DOLE. As soon as he heard DOLE, lumaki ang mata at namigay ng bonus the following day. Duwag pala ang loko. Well, goodluck Lay. Make sure na kaya mo siyang ipaglaban til the end. Otherwise, just let it go. ANYEONG HA-SEYO !!!

Wanna know the real reason why these Koreans love our country so much ??? Well for one thing, studying ESL here in the Philippines is so cheap (it only cost then PHP200 to 300 per hour including car service to and fro their temporary residence here—as compared to PHP3,000–converted to peso– per hour in their own country)Well, best deal right??? Next is, our government is so lenient with them even if they overstay. Some of them even have the guts not to pay study visa and study illegally in our prestigious schools in the metro. Lastly, our cost of living here is so much cheaper as compared to their country. Just imagine, the price of one piece of maxx candy can amount to P6.00 equivalent in Korea….wow!!! One piece of our famous spanish bread (P2-3 in our local bakeries) will cost P35.00 in equivalent to won in Korea. Also, signature clothes cost 200% to 300% higher in Korea. Those are simple examples… Well, hello Philippine government!!! Are you there??? I wouldn’t wonder if one day the Philippines will be filled with Koreans as secondary Filipinos….anyway, most Koreans residing here in the Philippines are mothers and kids while their husbands remain in Korea to earn a living. Kung baga, dito sila namumuhay para baba gastos. In the meantime, Filipinos cannot work legally in Korea. FAIR BA ANG LABAN ???? kNOCK kNOCK Philippine government. Will you just sit there and watch ????

hi yah… i have a korean boyfriend and his parents don’t like me because of the fact that i am a filipina. the thing is he is the only son so he is expected to serve his parents… we do like each other (it really annoys me that koreans only uses the term “love” when they wanted to marry their girlfriend)… anyhow, the only solution is for him to work here in the philippines. i am wondering if you guys knows a korean company here in manila?

I understand what you wrote – but you didn’t really discuss what’s in their culture that we need to understand? Well and good if they are disciplined in their country – then what gives? How come they’re a bunch of annoying shits and craps in the Philippines? Trying to be French that we are just nothing but Indios?

hay naku..ako rin napupurga na ako sa mga nakikita kong Koreans..they are everywhere..sa malls..sa kanto ng bahay namin..sa office..waaaahhhhh ..lahat nalang chinky eyes..it seems like na alienated tayo..waahhh..sobra na talaga..

Actually I am working in a Korean company as a teacher..kaya sobrang na pupurga ako..yes I learn something form their culture pero sometimes..mali yung mga asal nila..(As I have observe my bosses)

Grabe..sobrang kuripot..sometimes na nanagkalan..sometimes user..di ko maintindihan.yung iba naman sobrang bait at wala kang masabi kasi sincere sila..extremes!!!

By the way, isa pa when my friend and I where searching for a building along Pearl drive , I was so amazed to see a Korea Town..its a real Korea Town with a small center full of Korean stores..

At isa pa..wag nga silang mag pumilet na magtayo ng Spa sa Taal..naku kung matutuloy man yun..humanda sila dahil siguradong puputok ang Taal sa galet..

Na-aapreciate ko naman sila ..pero may mga moments talaga na gusto kong magpahinga sa Korea wave na yan at sana kapag nasa mall ako wala akong makitang Koring…

my sis is teaching english in a korean school d2 sa qc…aside from cheap ENGLISH EDU…they also go here for cheap travel and tours…punta ka puerto naku puro korean dun..pati sa baywalk…left and right and front and back…puro koreans!

pero bilib sila sa talent ng Noypi esp sa music scene…wala yata kasing bumibirit sa kanila tsaka panget siguro mga beach dun…hehhehe

one thing though, they say that THEY are the most beautiful people on earth. They normally believe Chinese are dirty and ugly and Japanese are midgets. Very very proud people. In fact, Moon preaches Koreans are the super race whether you belive it or not. That explains it all.

oh well, i do watch some koreanovelas. aliw eh.

Well, my experience with Koreans was at East Ortigas Mansions, pero buti na lang di ko kinagat.

When I was there in 2005, merong dating food mart sa tapat nang East Ortigas. Then, they close it down. Nalugi raw. After a few months pagbalik ko galing sa US, biglang nagkaron nang activity. Dami pa ngang advertisement sa papers that it will be the biggest PC eMall in the whole of Asia or Philippines ba or something something. Basta grabe ang promotion nila. Meanwhile, they were selling the stalls at a minimum of Php500,000 and I know dahil ilan yata dun sa condo ang mga bumili.

Hangga’t sa naudlot nang naudlot ang opening, until biglang nangawala yong mga Korean investors. Ayun, tinakbo yata lahat nang pera.

Uy naku hindi ko na yata maintindihan yan hehe, pero actually Picoy Fernandez of Alaska mas lalong hindi nya naintindihan kasi he can’t understand tagalog hehe (nice to hear from you Mang Picoy), yap I use to work at Globe Telecom at Pioneer Highland Plaza,mostly of the residents are Koreans, most of them are here to study english,anyhow malaki na din influence nila sa atin,biruin mo ilang Korea Novela ang napanood ko sa pinas bago me napunta sa Singapore at sinusubaybayan din ng mga Pinoy, saka kinda nagpapalitan lang yata tayo ng bansa kasi I also have lots of friends who study Korean Language just to work in Korea, haay weird hehe.
