Election na talaga! An saya saya nila!

Eto palang si Duque eh hi-nay-jacked yong Medicare fund of overseas workers for PhilHealth months before the 2004 elections ayun sa Malaya. Eto namang si Gloria namigay nung PhilHealth cards during her campaign noon. So, yong PhilHealth membership rose from around 3 million to 5 million in 2004. The new members promptly lost their health insurance the following year because the government would (what for?) no longer subsidize their premiums. Ang galing nang strategy di ba? Eh, tapos na election kasi eh.
Ngayon, we have this battle hunger drama chuva ek ek right?

I further suggested that a commission on Inquiry should be appointed to dig into the root causes, some of them we already knew, but most are deep-rooted that only an impartial independent, and dedicated inquiry can be able to thresh out.
Being out of the country for more than 3 decades and experienced and observed how we in Canada resolve our pressing social problems and came about with a permanent and lasting solution is never to trust blindly the present crop of politicians, no matter how good their intentions are, and ours are quite trustworthy and capable, but to engaged the services of all segments of society in formulating the overall economic and fiscal strategies and recommend to the politicians the policies and laws to be enacted..And it works in this part and I’m sure given a chance it will work in the Philippines too. Lastly, you have a very interesting entries and relevant subjects. I’ll be visiting your site. thanks..

Correct this is electioneering, but can we expect politicians to avoid this one. I am not very much against this one because the people will benifit from it but the decision whom to vote is still in their hands.

Alex, hope you won’t mind at wag magalit ha? this is purely discussion. wag mo kong ivooddoo but do you expect politicians to avoid electioneering? In the Philippines NO. They use our own money, our own taxes for their OWN PERSONAL campaign and this is the most unfortunate thing that is happening because this is not sooooo fair. Put yourself as the new candidate with honest intentions who’s only purpose is to serve. You won’t have the same machinery like what the pinoy crap politician have. Worst, there are pinoys who could be swayed by these campaigns.
Electioneering like this recent annoucement of big salaray hike and the new one, Php1 billion hunger drive, these are temporary benefits to pinoys Alex, after that - what? Katunganga na naman tayo right?
We’re looking for some real tangible results and I don’t think that will ever happen dahil majority and even these people in Malacanang themselves are as corrupt as ever! Just read what the family themselves are spreading in the media, sobra talaga! Galing na mismo sa bunganga nila!

Still im happy government employees have their 10% increase. Last presidential election my mother-in-law received this Philhealth card and able to use it but she still did not vote for GMA. This is what i am saying.
When I say politicians, I mean all of them. When the opposition are the one in power they are doing the same, ..i mean more worse. So what else is new?

They’re all the same Alex. We were able to boot out the Marcoses and their clans, but we were not able to get our money back. What ever happenend to the whatever good government chuva? Where are all our monies??? Wala!
Just like what I said in my previous comment, nag-reincarnate si Marcos sa sangkatutak na nangungurako ngayon!
10% growth rate? I would love to see that happen, but that will never happen. If ever, dapat nangyari na yan noon pa. Vietnam is almost nearing 10%, China has been double digit for many years, Malaysia at Singapore kahit na hindi double digits, steady ang growth. TAYO? The growth comes from ALL OF OUR REMITTANCES. Yong ang growth. THAT IS NOT GROWTH TO ME, that’s not a real growth. Tayo ang bumubuhay sa Pinas and that’s not good news to me.

Maybe those economic indicators are not yet really very good. But somehow they are good start, like inflation rate for March is at 20 year low. The stock market index at 3190 near the all time high of 3400..the is budget deficit going down, and exports are growing. Many companies reporting all time high profit, like Globe recently did. Atleast these are good starts.Globe will not grow like this kung walang bumibili, so meaning atleast may pera na extra to buy loads. Ofcourse, tayong mga OFW are one of the biggest factor kaya gumanda ang economy. But if we can promote more the Pinas as tourist destination sa tingin ko we can make the 7~8 % growth next time.

alex, ghandee… you know, we will always have corruption. ever. di na maalis yan. sa totoo lang!
U mentioned stock market, I don’t even count the philippine stock market as a gauge how the philippine economy is doing why? eh kakarampot lang naman ang business going public using the Phisix eh, most of those businesses going public eh nag-i-ipo sa singapore at di sa manila, o kaya sa hongkong, why? credibility, wala tayo nun. do we hear foreign businesses doing stock offering sa Phisix? kakarampot lang siguro!
Tourist destination for Pinas is a good source for that almighty green buck. The more tourist coming in to our country, the more green buck they leave so nag-i-ignite yong commerce. I agree with you. What’s the problem here? Security is number wan. Worst, look at our tourism websites! Nyeta! mas maganda pa yata website ko! Compare our tourism website with that of Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore at maloloka kayo! That’s a big marketing tool and we pinoys are knowns for talented programmers but the government could not even afford to hire or get the services of these talented guys! I am recommending Kutitos to do the tourism website! Asan kaya sya???!
Finally, what about the politicos? They are there para mangurakot, nothing else.

Reyna,
I always visit Ellen’s blog. Daming drama and issues to learn. After a while, I’ve noticed they only have one “magic” solution: “Patalsikin na Now na” Daming conspiracy theories about everything. Minsan nakaka-aliw or mapa-pakamot ka nalang sa ulo. Pero kung kontra ka sa opinion nila (careful),all of a sudden your’e a paid internet agent hired by the Pidals to ruin their discussions.

ekek, that’s a really interesting theory, at least for me, because I am new in that site and so far, yeah, in all fairness, I did learned a lot and i must say that people there are die-hardcore anti-anti but they are really good in what they are talking about, well some of them are really theories. i have my own disagreements with some of the people in higher positions but not all. but let’s see how reyna elena is gonna be on that site. one thing though, i go get annoyed at all anti=statements, theories, conspiracies and what not’s. in the end, i prefer to hear, what kind of solution are they offering. that’s what i want to read there. but so far, you’re right, that’s the one thing that i do see plastered all over and nothing else. i am actually curious and the more i got curious with what you just have said.
allow me to experience that site, after all, i am so ignoramus of a lot of things in the philippines already having lived in the us for many many years. i know that what i am reading are hard core, but i don’t easily get swayed with i read.
thanks.
